We live in a really old house where all the doors squeaked. I am happy to announce my house is squeak free. It was easy to use. So I was able to use it on everything, including fences outside. It has held up to the harsh, cold weather. I appreciate that the smell doesn't stay long like other competitor products and their original WD40 version. This version is versatile! It can be used on non-metal like plastic and rubber. I will definitely pick this up after we use this up. My father in-law picked one up after borrowing it from us haha. 10/10 recommend!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I used this lubricant on my vertical blinds that were getting stuck on the track and were a pain to open. The silicone lubricant can be sprayed (like spray paint) or sprayed through an attached straw that easily tips into place. I chose to spray the product through the straw onto a piece of an old cotton tee shirt. I then wiped the product onto the tracks that my blinds move on. I applied it this way because I didn't want to risk spraying the silicone onto the blinds or onto the wall. It worked out just right, my blinds now move along the track smoothly, just like they did when the blinds were new, 17 years ago.

First I used it on my squeaky screen door and front door hinges and it fixed them immediately! I also used it to wipe my cars' wiper blades to keep them from skipping across my windshield and I used it to lubricate my garage door hinges and spring to keep them moving freely, and hopefully avoid any breakage. This spray doesn't kill the rubber like some lubricants do. I love the convenient grooves in the cap so that you can attach the nozzle and not lose it!

We have had a squeaky front door for some time and finally took the WD40 water resistant silicone to it, noise is gone and it’s held up against the elements. An unlike the original version, the WD40 silicone is a low odour spray so you do not need to worry about that strong smell. I’m excited to see what other applications we will be using this for in our home as it is a very versatile product! 10 out of 10 recommend!

The water-resistant formula was great for the outdoors, particularly the car, which faces exposure to nonstop moisture, especially during the winter months. Indoors, the silicone base was ideal for avoiding unsightly drips and stains on hinges and door locks that needed a bit of a pick-me-up. My husband and I agree that we certainly see ourselves purchasing this version of WD-40 in the future in place of the classic formula.

WD40 is a brand that we have trusted over generations and this silicone spray has proven its worth. We have tried it on rusty hinges inside and outside our house and there was no more squeaking and also the doors and windows opened and closed as they used to years ago. What a difference! The product is not greasy and doesnt leave a strong foul odor which is nice for indoor use. It can also be used for waterproofing rubber parts on engines so my partner was quite content as he works on many different small and big engines. I really recommemd anyone keep a bottle of this WD40 silicone around the house because of its multipurpose all year round usage and effectiveness!
