Après un primer de marque sico plus 2 couches de sico evolution (avec aprêt et super pouvoir cachant) on voit encore la peintue en dessous.
En plus la texture est super épaisse, s’étant mal et laisse voir les traces de rouleau. On n’est pas des sans desseins, on a peinturé souvent mais là, le résultat n’est vraiment pas beau. Mon copain pensait que j’avais acheté une marque « cheapette », il est allé vérifié le pot!!!! Me semble que vous en arrachez Sico.... C’est la dernière fois que j’achète vos produits. C’est long quand t’est obligé de mettre un primer plus 3 couches en plus qu’en bout de ligne ça revient cher. Finito, je suis vraiment déçue d’avoir eu confiance en vos produits. :(((

I like the product a lot HOWEVER...... buy all the paint you need FROM THE SAME BATCH #....I bought paint in November, needed more in March and cannot get the same colour because the batch # is now different and they cannot reproduce the colour. It went from cool tone to warm tone and in an open concept house, it looks terrible. I'll have to redo my whole living/kitchen/foyer space. I gave it a poor finished rating because my offwhite walls now have creamy yellow patches and I have to redo the whole project. FYI their solution was to buy all the paint, mix it all together and start over.

More work than the product suggests!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Multiple coats were required to completely cover properly. The paint associate recommended I prime first (Sico Go Prime) as I had to cover a dark colour and was going lighter. Despite using a primer multiple coats were required to cover evenly. Once completed the finish was very nice. Very little odour was evident. This was one of most difficult paints I have used. Going back many years I used Sico paint before with total satisfaction and ease but this particular paint was a disappointed. I am glad I received this opportunity to test this product free of charge as a product test review.

Paint at its best

I gotta say, this is by far my favorite paint. I love to paint and chosing the right product is a must. It goes on smooth. It is just the right texture for me. Glids on easy and so easy to wash up. You can almost put one coat on if you apply it right. I have grandchildren, so there's always sticky hands prints on the walls. Washing is a breeze. Luke warm water and off it comes. Plus don't interfere with the paint. I also fine if a piece of paint did get chipped off, you can reapply and don't see the spot you fixed. I love how you can get so many different colors in this product. . Over all, if you choose to paint but this brand. You will not be disappointed at all. Plus the price is great. Happy painting!

Hommage à Sico

Bonjour,
Je veux rendre hommage à Sico qui fabrique des produits de qualité que j'utilise depuis des lustres...J'ai découvert récemment la gamme Évolution, j'ai peint un plafond et un mur noir sur un fond très clair, en 2 couches!!! C'était parfait ! La peinture est très facile à appliquer, elle s'étend à merveille malgré une petite appréhension que j'avais en voyant la texture épaisse et la couverture est étonnante.J'ai très hâte de découvrir la gamme Muse que j'utiliserai pour les autres murs de la maison. Longue vie à Sico, des maîtres de chez nous au Québec, à qui je resterai fidèle pour un travail plus que satisfaisant !

Excellent paint for DIYers

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We painted our master bedroom today with SICO Evolution Interior Latex Paint. The original colour of the room was green, and we painted it grey. We are very impressed by the coverage. It went on very smooth with both roller and brush. We probably could have done with just one coat, but we did two to be sure the green wouldn’t show through. I was glad we did not need to apply primer before we painted. The odour was very low. The odour it does have is not very strong and resembles vinegar. It dried extremely fast, so we were able to do the two coats in the same day. All the brushes, rollers and trays washed off well with just water. We are very happy with this paint and will use it again for future projects!

I bought this sico evolution semi gloss paint / primer in one. We were so happy at first with the outcome as we painted shiplap. Well after leaving the shiplap to dry for over a month and thought it was time to stack them. Well when it was time to put the shiplap on the wall they all stuck together. Had to separate them and sand them. Should not have had to prime them first if it as it’s paint and primer in one. Thought sico was a good paint. We just don’t know how their will stand up as we purchased 2 gallons of it. Too bad sico we will move on with another brand of paint.

I feel like a professional

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This whole process has been wonderful, the supplies and paint are exactly what I needed to complete this project in my home. The color match is perfect compared to the sample chart which usually doesn’t happen with other paint companies. This Sico paint was easy to apply and covered up all the little imperfections on my wall. The roller and paint brush were easy to use and definitely made the process easier to apply …the paint dried without any flaws and I think I have enough left over to complete another project that’s on my to do list which is amazing. I’m really grateful to @hometesterclub & @sicopaints for the opportunity to try out this paint in my home. I’m so impressed with the results I feel like a professional !!!

Une belle découverte

Dès la première couche, j'ai constaté à quel point elle couvrait vraiment bien la couleur précédente. Sans odeur, je n'ai aucunement été incommodée durant mes travaux de peinture. J'avais choisi la couleur Huile de coco pour couvrir un vert pomme. Après la deuxième couche je croyais que ce serait suffisant. Pour mon conjoint, ça l'était, mais mes yeux détectaient encore un soupçon de vert, alors j'ai décidé d'y aller avec une troisième couche. Mais honnêtement, c'était probablement plus un caprice. Au final, je suis très contente du résultat, tellement que j'ai décidé d'ajouter une vocation à cette pièce qui servait de bureau, en y ajoutant un espace lecture. Merci Home Tester Club!

Just finished painting my living room cove ceiling with the sico evolution ceiling paint nour traditional 13 mm roller and nour traditional 2 1/2 inch angled paint brush they sent me to evaluate, painted an 80-year-old plaster ceiling it looked brand new, hid the few imperfections,
shaked can, opened poured into tray and plastic cup for cutting in
very low odour was great being indoors
cut in all corners with brush prefer a little smaller but it worked ok, then rolled the rest one coat covered perfectly very little splattering very impressed with the paint i've used almost all brands and found this to be equal with the more expensive ones highly recommended and will definitely use this sico brand again

Smooth and excellent quality

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Sico has always been known for making great paint and Sico Evolution paint is another great product. This is smooth to go on and thick so that it's not dripping. It has excellent coverage and even though I did 2 coats you could almost get away with just one. I've painted a lot of walls in the past and I would definitely use this one again. I had to wash a couple spots after painting and it washed up great and didn't leave any marks.
I had an eggshell finish and it was perfect. I also thought it had very low odour when painting. That was perfect for winter painting where you can't really open doors and windows. I painted over previous paint but this can be used right over bare drywall which would be a big time saver. Great product.

Great paint to cover area without primin

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) My front hall was in desperate need of a face lift. This paint covered over a much darker colour in two coats no problem. It applied evenly with no spray and covered some pretty serious marks left from bike tires and typical hallway wear and tear.
I normally go for the cheapest paint available due to being a renter. A week after thos paint is holding up and tire marks are easier to remove and can be cleaned without scrubbing the paint off! I am convinced to spend the money on a higher end paint like sisco for the durability and amazing colour

Disappointing coverage but dries quickly

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was very excited to try this paint and primer in one. I was painting a light pink over a tan colour and was excited by the prospect of not having to prime first and essentially save time. Unfortunately the paint did not cover well abc I ended up having to buy a second can (and doing four coats in total) before we had complete coverage. It also dries very quickly which can be a positive, but made cutting in difficult because it dried before you could roll the walls and the cutting in did not blend well. Overall, I was not happy with this paint.

Lovely Rich Colour

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I received SICO Evolution Interior Paint to test out and give my review. I selected the colour Dutch Cocoa. The paint was very easy to apply and rolled onto the wall smooth without bubbles. I love that this is a paint and primer in one. The odour was minimal and did not linger. Our living room walls look professionally painted and the paint dried quickly. The colour is beautiful and rich looking. Another bonus was that any paint I got on myself or my floor was easily washed off. I highly recommend SICO Evolution paint for your next project!

Nous avons l'habitude de peindre avec la peinture de la compétition et nous avons toujours été satisfait des résultats, mais cette fois nous avons choisi Sico puisque notre designer avait choisi les couleurs de cette compagnie, nous nous sommes vite rappelés pourquoi nous avions arrêté d'utiliser cette peinture. Après avoir appliqué une couche d'après, Sico Go Prime et deux couches de la couleur 6115-11 Beurre d'amande sur certains murs de notre chambre a coucher, murs qui étaient de couleur crème, je dois faire une course au magasin pour acheter un troisième gallon alors que nous n’avions que 560 pi.ca à couvrir. Extrêmement déçu de ce produit. . Le pouvoir cachant de ce produit est très faible et devient très couteux en produit et en temps.

The only paint to use!

We are in the process of having our home painted and couldn't wait to crack open the can and apply to our walls.
It truly is "an easy-to-apply, ultra-washable and high hiding paint".
We had so many scuffs and repairs needed on our walls that this paint covered it all.
It is amazing that it is "a paint and primer in one" because it definitely saves time and money!
No need to be an experienced painter to use this product - go ahead and give it a try!!

Terrible Odour

Bought a gallon of SICO Evolution Interior Paint (eggshell) at Kent Building Supplies a week ago and applied one coat to a 10' x 10' room. The day after application the odour was the worst I have ever experienced from a latex paint and still persists although reduced, after 6 days. Tried everything: fan, air purifier, venting, etc. but to little avail. Although the label indicates 0 VOCs before colourant added, there must be one hell of a lot of VOCs being emitted. I gave a rating of two stars due being drip free and final appearance. In reality the odour is so disgusting that my initial intention was go give it 0 stars. Possibly a bad manufacturing batch or contaminated colourant? I have used PPG paints in the past & had not experienced this issue

Good finish

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Tried the Sico Evolution eggshell finish 2-in-1 paint and primer on our bedroom wall. We tried Breton Salt and was quiet pleased with the results. A good quality roller is a must. There's no prepping needed, just a quick wipe down and stared painting. Found the paint easier with a roller, went in smoothly, needed a second coat for better results. Was worried about repeat streaks, but when it dried it was perfect and neat. Loved the finish. Best of all, no regular paint smell, no one is going to walk in and know we painted.

Uneven Coverage

Purchased this product to repaint my daughter’s room. I’ve completed quite a few painting projects over the years so I’m not new to painting, and I decided to splurge on a premium paint for increased coverage and a better finish. Boy, was I wrong.
The colour is beautiful but after 3 coats the coverage was uneven, almost watery looking in spots. The paint was freshly mixed so the issue wasn’t separation, it is just a poor product. After 3 coats I wasn’t going to do a 4th, and we’re just living with it. Disappointing.

[Cet avis a été recueilli dans le cadre d’une promotion.] J'ai essayé la peinture Sico Évolution. La couleur est belle. La raison pour laquelle je lui ai donné 3 étoiles est qu'elle sèche trop vite. Si vous êtes quelqu'un qui veut une peinture à séchage rapide, celle-ci est faite pour vous. Cependant, cela n'a pas fonctionné pour moi. Je ne suis pas un peintre professionnel, juste un bricoleur. La raison pour laquelle je n'ai pas aimé le séchage rapide est que lorsque j'ai essayé de lui donner une deuxième couche, elle commençait à laisser des traces. Par conséquent, j'ai dû la laisser sécher complètement avant de repasser. Je n'ai pas trouvé cela avec d'autres peintures avec lesquelles j'ai travaillé. Ce n'est donc pas la meilleure peinture avec laquelle j'ai travaillé, mais pas la pire non plus. Je ne suis pas sûr de recommander cela.

gorgeous color

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I received this SICO Evolution paint in Eggshell Finish color for trial and in exchange am providing my review after testing/using the paint. I painted a wall with this paint and the color was simply beautiful; it is satiny and dries fairly quick and does not run like some watery paints do. No streaking on the wall, afterwards, either. HomeTesterClub also thoughtfully provided all the paint brushes that is required to test out this product so I used the supplied brushes and it went on easily.

Utter disappointment

Bought our first house and went with the semi-gloss for our trim, casing, and doorways. Will not buy Sico again if this is the quality of their products. Not only is it an incredibly thin paint, light cleaning causes the paint to slough off in strips, which you have to do because it gets dirty so quickly (this is in comparison to the other white/light paints we bought). The only good thing is that it hides odours decently. I would not recommend this product at all.

A Great Paint to Refresh Your Walls

As someone who has painted their home several times in the past decade, I was excited to see how SICO paint holds up. I chose the Breton Salt Eggshell Finish color and it looks great! It is a nice grey that is not too dark or heavy. The paint was easy to apply, blends well on the walls (so you don't see streaks) and only took two coats. Overall, a great paint and I look forward to painting some other rooms with it!

Worst paint I've ever used

We bought 3 different cans of Sico paint for 3 different rooms. All three have been absolutely the worst. All walls were new drywall and were primed. The paint peels with the slightest touch or bump. For example, when installing baseboard, barely touching the wall causes the paint to peel. Placing a shelf gently again the wall and the paint peels. The adhesion is horrible. Coverage wasn't great either. It took 2 coats, everywhere. I will NEVER by SICO again!!

A decent mid range paint

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The colour was beautiful! It definitely had to have two coats to cover properly. A third coat would be ideal. Although the paint, brush and roller, were all new, there was little chunks of hardened paint that kept depositing as I rolled. I had to keep taking them off and going over it again.
Overall, I would recommend this paint if you are looking for good quality that won’t break the bank. I would say it is in between slower and higher end paint quality.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This paint goes on smooth, not too thick and not watery. I think one coat would have been enough but I always do 2. The drying time was great, I had 2 coats on in one day. The color is perfect. Bumped the wall moving the furniture back in and it did not scuff surprisingly. We did run fans in the room overnight because we needed the room back together in 2 days. I have never tried Sico paint before but would Definatly purchase again. Happy Customer!!

apply your paint in one step

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This paint is super convenient and easy to use. I like that I do not need to also prime my walls before painting which is a huge time saver.
My walls have a nice finish, there are no streaks left behind and application was also easy. I have since cleaned my walls since painting them and like how easy they are to clean.
It is also very easy to find in stores and they had nice greys which was the colour palette I was thinking about getting.

Sico Eggshell Paint

This brand has unbelievable coverage on bare walls and it goes on so smoothly and effortlessly. I have even had to touch up a spot where the wall was knocked into and when it dried it blended right in and you couldn't see any lines. I am amazed at just how well this paint works. Worked great, Would purchase again.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This was a great product. Virtually no strong scent. I painted my master bedroom and was able to sleep in it the same night. I found that it dried very quickly. By the time I was done the first coat, it was already dry enough to start a second coat.
I purchased a light color and a dark color. The dark color needed 3 coats while the light one needed only 2. There will still a lot of paint left over so there is good coverage with this stuff.

J'ai adoré ne pas avoir à appliquer une couche d'après car la couleur se cache facilement .
La senteur de la peinture disparaît après environ 48h car elle n'est pas forte
Bref un excellent produit qui vaut le prix pour sauver du temps juste à mettre une bonne couche sans trop licher au niveau du rouleau et c'est fait
