Couteau XH-1

Having been in the sign business for over 30 years, I have had my share of knives. Most of them being disappointing but not this one. It withstands so much abuse in the shop. It gets dropped, stepped on, crushed under endless amount of plastics, metal and wood signs. It takes it all! Thou heavy duty, it’s design is perfect for a woman’s hands. Not typical with many shop tools. Most are oversize and heavy - making it difficult to work efficiently and effectively. The blades also snap nicely not like the others that snap in odd places. Blades are always of great quality, sharp and ready to cut. It is the only knife now allowed in the shop!

I’m a busy handyman who is brand loyal with power tools. Not so much with utility knives because a utility knife is a utility knife! Well…that’s what I used to think until I bought this knife! I had a large vinyl flooring job (about 2,500 sq ft) and the knife I had in my tool belt, the blades kept on snapping and anytime I applied pressure…the blade would slip. So went and bought this knife and man…this thing is heavy duty!!! The blades are strong, sharp and long lasting, the locking mechanism does just that…keeps the blade secure and in position and the body is sturdy, comfortable in the hand and easy to grip! If your serious about your work, appreciate a quality product…you will love this knife!!

Hi, I manage one of Eastern Ontario's largest construction company's warehouse and for awhile now I have been purchasing the 25mm XH-1 Fiberglass Rubber-Grip Ratchet-Lock Knife for many of our companies carpenter's and labourers and I have yet to have a negative feedback on your product. Durable, easily accessible, ease of use and very secure I also recommended this knife to different workers in our company. Thanks for the amazing tool and Olfa is and will be a part of our work accessories for a long time.

I really love my knife, it's the perfect size and the blades last a long time even when I use them on Drywall. I always replace my Olfa knife with another because they are just that good. My only complaint is that the ratchet is made of plastic so working in a tool abusive field it only lasts a year or so before it start to crack and fall apart. It would be nice if that part of the knife was made of metal. Other than that it's an amazing knife.

Professional painter here. I typically use the smaller Olfa blades on a daily basis. I went to grab another set of blades at my local shop and they gave me the 25mm. When I realized I just went and bought the knife and couldn’t be happier. It’s such a strong tool. I have been able to cut through, scrape, and pry things without the blade flinching. This quickly be some the tool in my pocket everyday. Highly recommend.

My wife and I took on a project to rebuild an older farm house that was in poor condition. We’ve completed the entire demo and are currently at the stage of insulating the floor in our sunroom. We are using industrial 3” thick rockwool insulation in two layers. These Olfa knives continually cut through 3” of insulation in a single pass. I’m very happy with Olfa. Keep making great products!!!

I keep this knife on me at all times when I’m at work and a single day doesn’t go by where I don’t find myself using it. I am a local truck driver hauling aggregates, so using a knife wouldn’t seem like something I would usually do, but from trimming a zip-tie after a temporary fix to opening something in my lunch this knife is always my go-to. Great product, highly recommended.

Picked up a pandemic hobby of building game terrain set pieces out of XPS foam recently. Could not believe the difference using this knife and the black blades made from a cheap generic cutter. Control of the blade from the shape of the handle, to the clean non tearing cuts, i may not have kept up with the hobby if I didn't upgrade due to frustration with the generic knife.
