Constant improvement by Milwaukee

Amazing product, as usual, from Milwaukee. Its compact head makes it just that much easier to use. The new design, from the previous generation made some very solid improvements, such as the 3 LED lights on the head of the driver, the amount of illumination is greatly improved from the 3rd gen impact. I am not disappointed by this product in the slightest.

I bought this as an add on to my set because every time I seen to need mine someone has got mine in use. I do like them and have had good luck with the longevity of them. I now have a 4, a 2 year old one and now this new one. It is extremely confirmable to use all day and and with all day use the battery last close to 6 hours (4 amp hour battery).
This m18 fuel 1/4in. impact driver 2953-20, is extremely powerful. The new led lighting on it is great, the 4 speed mode, is terrific for handling different size fasteners, and the small footprint of this driver makes it much easier to get into small places. It's the best and most powerful 1/4in. impact driver, I've used, and really packs a punch.
Switching from yellow, I was pleasantly surprised by this driver. Its performance has been consistently top-notch, handling tasks like driving numerous LVL bolts with ease. For its price, the tool offers exceptional value, proving to be a reliable and worthy addition to my toolkit. Highly recommended for those seeking a dependable impact driver.
Compact, with a very slick self tapping screw mode

This impact driver presents a number of significant improvements over an earlier M18 (2757-20) impact driver.
1. It is more compact, shorter by 3/4” and just a bit fatter. This is really nice when you need to drive something in a confined space.
2. Three speed ranges
3. The LED lighting now has three lights and they are all positioned radially around the driver, resulting in excellent illumination on the fastener
4. There is a new special self-tapping screw mode in which the driver automatically shuts off when the screw gets to its hilt. It is very easy to use too, select the mode and then just pull the trigger for full power. It magically stops when the screw is done.
The trigger control of the speed is very nice and easy to control, very responsive.
There is a belt clip attached, which can be removed if not needed.
An all round, excellent tool, well designed and great quality.

I had a rigid and dewalt before this I though the dewlat was pretty good until I started using my buddies at work this is way stronger then the 20v impact dewalt has light weight not near as heavy as my old ones easy on the battery so it lasts a while with the small 3ah battery I have it lasts two or three days before I need to charge it
I had went through multiple Gen 4 Impacts and they continue to seize up after just a few weeks of use. The first one I thought was just a fluke but after 4 or 5?! Im a Garage Door installer and have been let down by this. The Gen 3 worked great for a long time before giving out. The drill gets really warm/hot and then randomly seizes up.

Great tool

I was skeptical about the size of the tool being enough to provide the power or torque necessary for getting tasks done, but I am floored with how good the tool is and how much I like it and using it. And I’ve come to the point of only wanting to reach for the impact driver as its size and weight make it easier to carry and use!
I don't know why I waited so long. It's like night and day difference between using a regular drill to drive fasteners. I had some subfloor prep work I needed to do before I could lay a floating hardwood floor. The house was 50 years old and the plywood subfloor nails were popping along the edges causing a creaking sound when ever someone walked on it. I was dreading how long it was going to take me to screw down this whole room after having just completed another room with a regular battery drill. Have no fears, enter the M18 Milwaukee Impact driver. This was a larger room and it was done in 1/4 of the time of the smaller room. This driver is so powerful and so fast (compared with my regular battery drill) I couldn't believe it. Super happy. This has to be my new favorite tool (until i get another Milwaukee :-) ). Yeah, its expensive, but once you've used it you'll realize it is worth it. If you are on the fence just get it. You wont regret it.

No matter how hard the task... Milwaukee is by far the best on battery powered tools no doubt I threw the others out cause just ant right after you have had you guys brand . All other tools can't stand next to what Milwaukee has to offer on getting the job done....
I am very impressed with new feature of power settings on my new M18 impact driver.
I believe it's going to get more use than my last one for reasons such as with new CP3.0 batteries, it is even more light & compact, can fill role of drill in several ways and not need weight of drill / driver for each job as last version.
These Impacts are super strong and super tough. One of the crews dropped one in Lake Guntersville while building a dock. It was found by another crew over 3 weeks later. I pulled corroded battery off, cleaned contacts wiped the mud off. Put a new battery on it and its still being used every day. Never missed a beat.
This set is solid. The saw is better than any other brand I've had since it ramps up while you're cutting into something. Cool feature for sure. The hammer drill is a must if you have to do any masonry work. This one was smooth sailing compared to my old one. I have never had any issues with Milwaukee products
Was so excited to get to use it today have the bigger high torqe impact and also the surge and put a few screws in then a few more then kept Goin and kept stripping out screws and other times seemed like there wasn't enough power was using 1.5amp hr battery so used a 3 Amp hr and still same thing happened

M18 Fuel 1/4" Impact Driver is Awesome!!

I love my Gen 4 M18 Fuel Impact Driver, tons of torque and speed in a small, lightweight package. It's capable of driving large fasteners quickly, and with the addition of impact rated bits, it is able to drill through multiple materials including wood, sheets metal, masonry, etc.
I bought this a couple weeks before Christmas, its been a great start to the long journey of Milwaukee. Its strong, I haven't had any issues other than the chuck wobbles slightly, and that it makes a weird noise when the trigger is barely pressed. Other than those its been lovely.
I run 2¾ self drilling screw .
I have 3 of them one just got back from repair. all 3 of them will get hot in just about 3 screw
I have the gen 3 and it's never done that at all
I wish you all still made the gen 3
or get this problem fixed in the gen 4 .so they don't lock up

I use this tool for all my work. It has more than enough power for anything I've encountered. Never had an issue with it. It is my go to for anything needing speed,power and control. I am definitely team red. Every cordless power tool I own is and always will be Milwaukee.
This thing here rocks it's as powerful you want a 1/4 inch impact. I've broken a few 3/8 drives running sockets on it but hey that the power I'm wanting out of my tools. My last one survived a 3 story fall and works to this day had to get another one for more productivity.
Don't be dropping it off 6' ladders onto concrete, if you do and it locks up just tell Milwaukee it stopped working and they'll take care of you. Their repair service was quick, free, and effective. The three lights is crucial and a reason in of itself to upgrade/ attain.
Super strong driving, the impact itself is just simply focused entirely on raw power. The only drawback I have is that the handle is a tad large, so comfort isn’t a strong suit for this tool, however, I find that the shear power behind it more than excuses the discomfort
I use this impact driver for 4 months, and it works well. I use it daily mostly low load, Today the engine stuck, does not move, making terrible noise and getting hot. the tool is useless. again, this happened during normal routine use which i do with other impacts too.

Nice upgrade.

Nice upgrade. Been using the gen 2 for 4+ years. It does eat batteries a little faster but still get hours of hard use even with my 2.0 batteries. Also gets hot after a few hours of hard work. Im not to worried due to the fact I've used the gen 2 the same way for years.
So far so good, I have 2 of the previous generation models that I am replacing with the newest one and have found the new one easier to control while driving fasteners and have not been stripping bits which was an issue I had with the last gerenation of Impact Driver.
I've been looking to replace my power tool for awhile. Since i work in the Disaster Restoration Field and do multiple different trades on one job also due to circumstances of some jobs not having power I need power tools that are reliable and have good battery life.
Well made construction grade impact driver. Would have given it 5 stars but it is a little too heavy. Has great features like long batty life and a light on the front. Weight in a tool can be good to counter the torque but can cause user fatigue. Great price also.
I love the fact that it has a variable trigger where I can adjust speed of drill by finger and/or be able to adjust drill speed by the press of a button
Functionally a sound hex impact. Battery definitely holds charge and get plenty of use out of tool per charge
Light and well balanced. Good torque. Only thing I dislike is you have to use the longer bits and there aren't many kits with a variety of them. Can use the magnetic bit extension in the kits, but I usually have to use a pliers to get the short bits out of it.
I've owned all the big brands and this compact guy leaves them in the dust best impact driver i've owned, even better than my old air impact. 10/10 for gen 4 much love from me to Milwaukee, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH ANY OF MILWAUKEE TOOLS BEST ON PLANET EARTH!!!
The impact driver is a great tool. I have used other brands in the past. Non of them can compare to the power and compactness that the M18 FUEL 1/4" Impact driver can produce. I highly recommend this tool to all professionals and do-it-yourselfers out there!
