Almost perfect

My favourite is the 2nd gen fuel, still my go to. Upgraded to the 3rd gen, but hated the trigger. Bought this one, and love the lights. But the trigger could still be more feathery. It could just be too torquey compare to my 2nd gen. Anyways i got mad and threw it to the ground, is a nice looking driver and I'll order parts to fix it. Just bought a first gen 2653-20 and am excited to try it. Power is good, but control is also. Driving lags for some, but finesse on 3" number 8 screw and smaller is nice, this one wants to slide right off the screws. Im not getting sucked into Onekey to adapt rpm speeds and jazz. I'll keep this impact as a back up when fixed.

Amazing Drill

Impressed of the power and technology of this drill. All my tools have been a bit of different brands since I have used them merely for proyects at home and side jobs. Starting a new job in the renovation industry, kind of forces me to buy new tools that are efficient for daily use and productivity, like cordless tools. After, tons of youtube videos and asking for oponions from different people working in the industry, I have decided to go with the Milwaukee platform for all my tools. First expirience of the brand was this drill and I am hooked into Milwaukee products now. I'll be replacing all my tools for Milwaukee tools.

Overheats and is uncomfortable to use.

I would recommend finding an older generation of this impact driver. I work in a sign installation shop and 3 of us have this same tool and all 3 get so hot after running in self tapping screws for maybe an hour that you can't touch the motor housing on top because it will burn you. Mine got so hot it seized up and doesn't spin anymore. Also it's not as comfortable to use as my old milwaukee impact driver, the back plate I guess I would call it on the motor housing that says fuel brushless is held on by four screws and the one that is on my thumb side rubs so bad on my thumb that I now have a pretty painful blister. I would honestly not purchase this tool again.

The Best Impact Driver I Have Ever Bought!

I have been using Milwaukee M18 and M12 tools for many years. I have purchased several M18 Impact drivers, but this one is the best I have ever owned. The shorter body style is great for getting into tight spots. The only negative I have experienced so far is that because of the shorter body it is also "fatter" up front, making it difficult to get close to tight corners. However, as long as you have the space, you can put in a 6" magnetic bit holder and the problem is solved! I also loved the 3 LED lights positioned around the nose. The faster speed is amazing! Of course, like previous models, it has 3 speed settings as well as a drill setting. I would absolutely recommend this drill.

Excellent Impact Driver

This is my second one. I bought it because after a couple years of abuse (falls, cooking it with step bits and using it more as an impact than a driver) I thought my first one died. It ended up getting stuck only hammering and not free spinning. I took it apart and cleaned all the saw dust, metal chips and dirt that ended up inside and reset the mechanism and it has worked flawlessly since and is running much cooler. I am keeping my new one for clean jobs now and using the old one to beat up and abuse and to give to apprentices to and not worry about them breaking it.

I have several HUGE upcoming renovation/ restoration project that have been percolating for awhile now do to work time constraints and ..... 14.4v tools. After ALOT of research I chose the Milwaukee line and, finally, donated all those good-ole DeWalt cordless, Gen1 tools.
Altho I haven't used this impact yet, I have used a same time purchased FUEL SURGE 1/4" Hydro impact, for trigger control, on an electrical project. Am well pleased with that tool as well. Will use this M18 1/4" impact on my deck rebuild along with the 1/2" hammer drill.

Very strong tool does great on battery life, doesn’t get hot at all. I’ve broke loose 1 inch dump truck lugs like it was nothing. This thing will take off any bolt on my 3500 HD service truck and does great out in the field as a mechanic this tool is very useful and makes jobs go much faster. Its compact size and incredible power amaze me every time. Will definitely be getting one with a 3/8 drive next. Switching all my tools to Milwaukee, pricey but worth every penny and pays itself off if you use them. 10/10 super great tool 👍🏻💪🏻

Great startup kit!

This was my first purchase to get started with the Milwaukee M18 platform power tools for my business. Very satisfied with the performance of all these tools. The quality is exceptional in my opinion, however, I found the flashlight to be on the low quality of the spectrum. I would highly recommend Milwaukee tools for anyone like myself that needs quality tools that will always perform as they should, tools you can rely on. Since this purchase, I've stocked my entire truck and trailer with nothing but Milwaukee!
