Good but missing parts
il y a 4 ans
The screwdriver itself is fine. Mine came without one of the Phillips head bits, and instead got a duplicate of a different bit. I reached out to Milwaukee for a replacement but they did not respond.
I am marking "Yes" for "Would I recommend this to a friend," with the assumption that theirs would come complete.
I use my hand tools a lot, and appreciate a well designed and made tool. This driver started out pretty well. A minor annoyance was extracting the bits from the handle. Six months later, a major annoyance is them falling out. The tool got relegated to the back of the tool box on its way to the trash.

I would definitely not buy this tool again

It all started so great but now the wobble on the ratchet is really quite unacceptable . I truly wish that you would test your design a little longer maybe it’s very annoying as i’m great fan off your tools especially the power range power tools having swapped to your company from Makita

Bits Stuck in Handle
il y a 2 ans
Works great. That is, when I can actually manage to get a bit out of the handle. It's way too snug to the point that it's basically impossible to get the bits out without another tool. Not so good for on the job use. Wish they would fix that issue.
this a new 1 4 me i have used a screwdriver like this before but it was confusing of how 2 work it from back & forth & also getting the bits out but that was a different brand 1 but this brand is great & it looks easy 2 handle & will last .
Worked perfectly for a while until swappable bits began falling rom handle. it is annoying. You cant use without removing swappable bits or keeping them separate which defeats the whole purpose Screwdriver ratchet still works though.

Terrible

Mine stopped working within just a couple months of ownership and with maybe 10 or less uses. The ratcheting mechanism just stopped working. now it just spins and spins and spins and you can not use it.
Thank you for your review, ZZZZ. I'm sorry to hear about your frustrations with your driver. I'll follow up with you shortly via email so we can provide support. Thank you. -Jacob

Awesome screwdriver
il y a 5 ans
Great screwdriver with multiple bits, just wish there was a way to find the replacement bits. I am a field service technician and it is easy to swap bits to work on different screws.
The Large slotted tip bent and its unusable. although its holding up ok the ratcheting part is getting loose, ive had this tool for approximately 2 years. how do i get a replacement?

DIY Use only

I have several brushless Milwaukee tools, great produce. However, the tips on the 9 - 1 Square Drive are not up to the Milwaukee standard I expected.
Where can I purchase new tips?

Poor quality

I've had this screwdriver for a while now and have always like it. However, in the last year, the ratchet part was failing, and now the device is unusable.

Makes you question
il y a un an
The ratchet has become very wobbly. It's not unusable yet but brings into question the quality of Milwaukee products.

Convenient but poor quality bits
il y a 2 ans
Nice idea but poor quality bits break with moderate pressure.
At least I live near a repair depot to exchange it
il y a un an
I am on my 3rd warranty replacement for this abysmal product in less than 2 years.
The pros: I like the Milwaukee logo and color scheme. The long bits at 3.5" long help access recessed screw heads.
The cons:
Ergonomics are poor due to the bits coming out the front the way they do.
Ratcheting mechanism: well, in about a year and a half 2 mechanisms failed. Up until the new generation of ratcheting failures I thought the mechanism wobble was a sign of incompetence. But at least it holds the bits in tightly... The bits do not wobble as it has decent tolerances, but the mechanism has a significant wobble. Unlike the 48-22-2904 new version I just picked up that trades a cheap and poorly designed ratcheting system for one that may be overbuilt to the point of NOT allowing the tool to ratchet under most applications... But the new model the bits fit into the ratchet system like a hot dog in a hallway. The mechanism doesn't wobble, but the bits have excessive play.
The bits, if you want to get the bits out of this tool, carry another tool to pry them out. They lock in so well that you will never lose a single bit by them falling out of the handle. You will also waste a lot of time over the course of using this thing trying to get the bits out. The bits are fairly cheap metal. The poorly glued magnet in the mechanism to retain the bits will fall out (one warranty replacement) or break and cause the bits to seat and retain poorly... but the mechanism may fail before the magnet so pick which failure you want to replace it on. Losing the bit that you leave in the driver itself is common as the magnet will let it go. Then you only have the bits in the handle that you can't get out, and you hope the bit you lost is not one that you need often.
I mean... did anyone use/test this thing before sale? the entire magnet lock is VERY poorly done.
