Most fun 10” I’ve had
il y a 8 mois
Incredibly impressed at what this thing can do. It might just be a pole saw, but it’ll rip through anything you put it up against. It helps strip trees down where you don’t necessarily want to get too close like you would with a traditional chain saw. I love that I can just pull the trigger on the power head and it’s ready to rock. Adjustments are easy with the provided tool and Milwaukee’s chains hold their edge as long as it’s properly lubricated.
Just got this and used it to cut down a medium sized tree that died recently. I cut many 4 and 5 inch limbs with no problem. The only problem I had was the gear cover fills with trash mixed with oil but it wasn't as bad as other pole saws I've used. Since I spilled oil while filling the tank I couldn't tell if it was leaking. After reading the reviews I drained it before storing the attachment. It can't leak oil if there is no oil in it.
Some reviews with 2 or less stairs are issues based on owners not reading the manual. The saw works for me and makes for less time cutting manually and more time on the golf course. One item, I'd like to mention is the oil tank - it leaks. Oil is a bad enough as it is (can't through it away or is toxic) so let be more earth friendly and fix the holes. Shouldn't be an issue for Milwaukee to correct this design flaw.
I'm a review type of guy. I'm saying it took me two weeks to finally make this purchase. But I'm happy I chose Milwaukee. It does what I needed it to and then some. From trimming the lower branches to the 3" - 4" branches. Heck I take it camping with me also. Or when I'm out on my side by side needing to clear a trail. Its wonderful. I highly recommend it.
i use this for trimming around my house, this has by far been the worst Milwaukee product i have purchased, and regret it. the chain will not make more then 10 cuts before jumping off, and the tank, or oiler leaks.
also very inefficient power transfer. if the motor was in the head unit, it would be better. rather then shaft driven from batter wand.
Our team appreciates your feedback on your M18 FUEL™ QUIK-LOK™ 10" Pole Saw Attachment. Please make sure that the chain tension adjustment indicator is activated.• Do not over-tension the chain - excess tension it will cause excessive wear and will reduce the life of the chain could damage the bar. New chains could stretch and loosen during initial use. Remove the battery pack and check chain tension frequently during the first two hours of use. Please also ensure to remove the oil from the reservoir after use to avoid leakage. - The Social Team

Bad out of the box

I purchased this product last year and it has caused me a fair amount of frustration. Not sure if it is supposed to leak oil, but it every where it is laid down, oil leaks from this attachment. I have pole saw oil in my workshop, back of my service truck, all over the grounds. Everywhere. The chainsaw that I also have doesn't leak at all.
I don't use this tool often so I purchased this tool to go along with my string trimmer. I have 2 gas string trimmers and I am tired of trying to get them started. So I also purchased a sting trimmer first. I have about 30 M12 and M18 tools and only had one problem with a battery which Milwaukee took care of and sent a new battery.
Entire system is great. Saw is fantastic. 6 inches and sometimes more is fine. Only challenge is with short chain it will dull quicker than a longer chain but as short chain it takes no time to sharpen either. It gets a little unwieldy when on the 3 ft extension but it's way better than getting on a ladder with a chain saw.
I need this I have hand pole pruner, but is awkward and take to long to cut through any branch over 3 inches. This goes through anything, just like my Milwaukee M18 chainsaw. No fuel required, no annoying pull start. Use it with or without the extension and trim those dead branches out of trees.
There is no mention of how to lubricate the 90* gear drive on the head. There's a plug to remove but the industry standard lubricating tube threads do not fit it.
Additionally there is no mention of this service requirement in the manual.
The unit won't last long if I can't lubricate it!
With this I was able to trim some limbs that had broken loose and was hanging in my trees after a big storm. My next project is to top a tree that has fallen on my shed. This little pole saw works great and even has a hook on the back side to pull stuck limbs down after cutting.
The words cannot describe the ease of use of this pole saw its cuts like hot steel through butter it does leak oil qhen not in use but it's easy enough to drain the oil tank after use takes a second or 2 with no mess but it has to have a small leak because of the auto oiler
It works amazing but I had to warranty one on the very first cut because the head snapped almost all the way off. It was more user error because the branch started falling my way and I had to let go of the saw but it took very little force to break the head off.
I like all of the quick-loc attachments. They make it easy when doing different things with landscaping and maintenance. Cuts right through hard to reach branches. I just wish they sold the powerhead by itself so I can be cutting while my son can be edging.
Upgraded from a manual pole saw to the quick lock saw. Massive time saver, worth the investment purely from the productivity standpoint. I’d argue it’s safer as well both short and long term, as it’s easier on the shoulders and back than the manual method.
I don’t think there is another cordless provider out there that can keep up with Milwaukee products. I’ve been using Milwaukee now for quite a few years, and they have been the best to hold up to everything and also be durable and reliable.
Works very well and chain does not often need adjustment. I am surprised just how well this 10" pole saw handles the jobs i have used it on which are; trimmed limbs on my oak trees, removed 30' of 10' hedges, trimming palm fronds and fruit.
Much more torque than I thought it would have. I removed lug bolts from my motorhome that are torqued to 140 ft/lbs. with a 1.5 AH battery that I already had. The 2 and 4 Amp Hour batteries that came with the kit should be even better.
Haven't used it enough to speak on it's durability or longevity, however, it's done what I needed it to do, efficiently. Great product so far. Seems sturdy. Only used to remove one small tree from my hedge, and some grapevine.
When I first started using it, I thought it was going to suck but I was wrong.Turns out the thing actually is pretty good.Pretty good for an electric pole saw. Only downside is it takes a battery other than that. It's amazing!
I have pretty much all of the M18 Fuel tools, I’ve told my wife a million times I wanted the polesaw well Memorial Day weekend she surprised me with the fuel trimmer 3ft extension and pole saw and it hasn’t disappointed.
The pole saw works great. Very handy and easy to use. The only negative, and I think it might apply to all attachments, is that there is no wall hanger included with the attachment. Only reason it got 4 stars.
Awesome Tool! Definitely worth the price. I cut two pickup loads of branches in less than 20 minutes. I purchased the extension at the same time as the pole saw. The extra length saved me from the ladder.
So not impressed. I still have my Dad’s 1960’s 1/2” hole hawg drill and it’s 10x the balls of this wanna be chainsaw. Smaller branches or palm fronds? Forget about it. They will get shredded not cut.

Does what it's supposed to

Works great! Fairly lightweight and easy to use. It would be nice if there was a notch in the scabbard to good the chain adjustment tool or another way to keep it close at hand without it being lost.
Not too much to say. Used the saw for 30 minutes and attempted to adjust chain tension. As I turn the adjustment screw the tension is not increased or decreased. Chain comes off constantly now.

When you have to trim a tree it will do the job.

I used my pole saw and it made trimming trees so easy. Cutting nice cuts that will heal easily. The battery held up and gave me enough power and still had enough power to blow the debris.
I have trimmed over 200 trees. Battery life is great and saw cuts great. I finally got saw stuck and damaged the chain bar, can't find the part anywhere. Milwaukee website doesn't list it!

This seems to be a great product. I haven't used the saw a lot because it appears the blade isn't gettting oil. Is there an adjustment for this or, any instructions concerning the oiling?
Haven't used it much. Wanted to like it and worked alright. Chain tensioner is garbage and stripped or whatever, doesn't tighten. Have ran many different saws and never broke a tensioner
