[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are many things I really like about the Milwaukee 25ft Wide Blade Tape Measure. The numbers are very large and easy to see at a distance. The tape is wide and when you stretch it out, it doesn't flip and flop down, it actually stays standing straight out. That helps when it is one person using it. Great for contractors. It also has a clip so you can hang it on a tool belt, a belt, or hang if from your pocket. Very pleased with this.

New favorite tape measure!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 25 foot Milwaukee tape measure is my new favorite! It's wide, the numbers are large and easy to read. The tape is printed on both sides which is great. My favorite feature is the finger stop underneath. Not only does it make it easy to use but protects your finger! The locking clip works and it's durable. It also has a 14 foot standout which is great. This is one tape I'll be hiding from my family so that it doesn't get lost!

Strong tape that is easy to read!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tape. With the wide construction, I can extend the tape 15 feet in the air horizontally before it gives. Try that with a regular tape. The wide tape also affords for larger text making it easier to read. It is built with high quality materials as you would expect from a Milwaukee product. This is now my go to tape especially when I am working by myself and need to make some long measurements.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband though he doesn't want to admit it, is getting older. So, bigger numbers, double wide tape, he was SOLD. He said so he could see the numbers from further away, and I let him have it. Its Milwaukee brand so you know its tough, quality isn't an issue with them. Honestly what sold him was the larger measurements. He was so tickled hes even finishing a project I've been asking him to do for over a YEAR.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 14' Milwaukee is a great tape--The blades are accurate, very durable, have great standout (25 feet), are easy to read, and have the perfect balance of detail and contrast. They are also super compact and tough. Sturdy, well made and operates smoothly. The best features are the large, easy to read numerals on not one, but both sides of the tape measure. This is extremely helpful for those of us with "bad eyes" and measuring at angles where being able to read the length on either side is crucial. The hook has plenty of grab on the bottom and sides it does up the functionality tremendously. It's noticeably faster since the tape automatically holds to the surface tight enough to pull the blade out without feeding it by hand. One of my favorite things you can stop the tape from recoiling, by placing your finger on the back of the tape measure. A great tape just got even better! Highly recommend!

Best Tape Measure I Have Ever Had

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Throughout the years, I have owned many tape measures but I have never been as impressed with a tape measure as much as I am with the Milwaukee Wide Blade. One of the best features is the locking system. Many of my past units have slipped or broke loose when applying the lock. Not this one. The locking system is fantastic. Finally a no slip tape measure!

Blade life is meh rest is great

Blade life leaves something to be desired. both tapes i bought Had the blade crack and tear first 1 at 4 months use second at 3 months.
Swapped my old Stanley tape blade into tape and works good now lol. Plastic case better than stanleys though. Also want a stronger magnet on magnetic version of this model please.
Double sided measurements are great too

I would never buy this product again

I work at a concrete precast plant, as a QC inspector, generally I love Milwaukee product and have several others ranging from power tools to knives, so I thought I’d give the 40’ wide blade a try. Big mistake, only had it a month and it won’t retract, the coating is coming off, and it’s becoming hard to read I won’t get another one. Very disappointed

Worth the extra price point

But then i bought one of these and its like a whole new technology. The quality is next level, the small simple design elements are incredibly useful. It IS actually worth the couple extra bucks you'll pay for it.

Can't ask for more out of a measuring tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone that doesn't possess the greatest eyesight, the large markings and numbers at the top and bottom of the tape are incredibly helpful. This is a very sturdy tape measure with a great grip. The magnetic tip is super useful as well. Other nice features are the wire clip that won't shred your pants and the finger guard.

It's kinda hard to measure with a flimsy tape but this one makes sure it stays strong until I can measure. I really like the smoothness and how rugged it's built, which guarantees it's not going to break easily

I won't buy this style of tape measure again.

The tape measure does the job but there are several drawbacks. Mine includes the written fractions on one side of the tape. I guess for someone who struggles with fractions this might be helpful but it slows me down. Also the tape will extend pretty far but only if you gentle and the tape measurements face up. On a ladder measuring overhead, that doesn't work well. Finally, the release button doesn't hold the tape out as advertised. I have to use my finger to push against the blade and if you want to stretch out the tape on a flat surface with nothing to hook the end to the tape retracts making layouts frustrating. It worked well when it was new but after a few months, the tape begain slipping. Most likely I'll have to throw it away once I finish my current project. A locking button would allow me to keep using the tape measure but once the release stops working, things get too frustrating. A suggestion would be to add a wider end hook so the tape could be hooked on the side.

blade tore within two months of use right at the 2

I am a framer and like the tape overall. but when the blade tore at the 2' mark its not good. these things are not cheap and should last much longer, I have always used Stanleys before and thought I would try the Milwaukee. with Stanleys I would get well over a year before I had to replace

I would not buy this again

I assumed the quality was on par with what you normally associate with Milwaukee tools. Not so. Blade will retract on its own. Had a few months but now it is frustrating to use since the blade wants to retract on its own. Took it apart and cleaned the lock mechanism all to no avail.

Would love to buy this tape measure again but...

Great tape measur! Ergonomic, sturdy, really a joy to work with. But quality socks. Not even 2 weeks old and the blade developed a crack. I've started looking for replacement blades online, just to replace the blade and not the whole tape measure. Aaaiugh... sucks to throw it away.

Bought the tape 2 months ago

Use it everyday as a carpenter. Love the big numbers and the strength. Retracts very smooth. But now the blade is splitting and won’t retract. Is this a warranty issue as now I can’t use it and would love to keep using Millwaukee tools. Help

I bought this tape to measure approx cieling joist span because of the advertised boast of having a 17 foot reach . It breaks at 12 foot easily. I assume maybe the 17 foot is a vertical reach as it is a far cry from 17 foot horizontally.

Terrible warranty

I bought this tape under a year ago
And with occasional use has now cracked and tore
Tried to get warranty through the local RONA store where it was purchased, but nothing ever came from it

Safety concern-sharp metal blade at the end

The very end of this tape has got an extremely sharp metal blade that will cut your finger if you pull all the way to then end. There is no stopping mechanism to prevent that. Should be addressed this safety issue immediately.

Reading the reviews on the tape measure takes me back but I am having problems with mine. The tape measure will not retract and I’m having trouble with peeling on the numbers on the bottom side of the tape.
