Good, but expected better.

So as far as durabilty and light quality this light is a grand slam. However, Milwaukee states this light works with all batteries, and even though it does, there are some serious practical engineering flaws. The light should be designed to operate properly with all size batteries as stated. With anything better than a 5Ah battery the magnet is useless and you can forget about using the clamping feature on a 2x4. The carry handle is also useless with any battery above 5Ah. I like my lights to have a really long run time and prefer the larger batteries. Milwaukee should have accounted for this or at least stated it only works properly with a 5Ah or below battery.

Fantastic light!

Great light, and so versatile! I use this literally in every way it’s designed to be used. I love using it as a headlight or uplighting on a scissor lift or boom when doing temporary lights with the feet clamp to the lift rails as you can tie it off with a lanyard and the magnet is super strong and will hold the light very well unless knocked into with too much force so don’t work under it if you don’t have a hard hat on. The only way to improve it would be to give it pass through AC hookup or give it even more light or something, but the design even fits inside the pack out base carrier neatly and is plenty bright for a personal work light. Thanks for beaking the mold! Again.

Great light ruined by design error
il y a 5 mois
Useful compact light, better choice than the barrel model. It Runs all day on an XC5,0 pack! However the clamp and magnet that I bought it for are a joke: they don’t work with that same battery and Milwaukee doesn’t say that anywhere except in the instructions, which you see AFTER purchase. The end of the battery protrudes into the space where the magnet and clamp operate and keep them from being usable. It ruins an otherwise great product. The battery also prevents the carrying handle from being usable, which is very irritating when working in tight quarters like an attic, since the unit is difficult to carry with one hand off you can’t use the handle. These problems make me feel cheated by Milwaukee.

Good but has some oversights
il y a 6 ans
Overall a good light, however has some oversights which need improvement. For one the built in handle is completely non functional when you have a battery installed. It looks like this light is a copy of the M12 version and they didn't take into account or try a M18 battery on the light before they out it into production. The other issue is also battery related. When you install a 9.0 ah battery, the battery protrudes past the base of the unit and this won't allow you to utilize the magnets on the bottom of the unit.
Love that you can aim the light in any direction.
Overall happy with the light output but the "up to 20hrs work time" statement isnt exactly true, it will eat up an XC5.0 battery in a few hours. It does provide running times in the specs but its nowhere close to 20hrs. If they meant that it will work up to 20hrs on the larger batteries then ok, but it negates the use of the clamp mechanism at that point. Id still recommend the light but buyers should be aware of the flaws this product has.
To sum it up, great light output, missleading advertizing and mediocre battery consumption performance.

Think hard before buying
il y a 3 ans
Have had this light for over 2 years. Awesome light, works as intended. I'm an HVAC tech and use this light every day. Handle is useless with all but 2.0 battery. Have upgraded my batteries to the new HO and HD and now this light is useless as far as the clamp and magnetic features. Because of this I can't recommend this light. I would have to go buy old style batteries just to use this light which I'm not willing to do unless Milwaukee lets me know how to grow a money tree in my yard. I will be selling this light.

Poor build quality
il y a 4 ans
Poor build quality So it lights up it does what it supposed to do if you put a large battery in it like you’re supposed to you have to fight tooth and nail to press both buttons at the same time to get it out plus mine broke when pulling out the hydraulic part that makes a clip on studs . I think if you’re going to charge us kind of money they should be indestructible meaning I should just be able to use them and not break them I have about 10 grand worth of your tools sitting in my truck right now

Big fan of Milwaukee lights
il y a 6 ans
I owned a Milwaukee 2361 light. I loved it. Used it for work (professional plumber), camping and outings. However, I lost it on a jobsite. I know, should have had a one key tick on it. Bought the upgraded 2365 Rover light. AWESOME LIGHT. l have used it now several times and it works great. The only con is when you use an extended battery you can't grab the handle very well. Overall though, the magnets and the clamp work great. This light is also crazy bright. Would recommend this light.
