Great product with very high level of degree. Design is on point. Grip feels comfortable and does not vibrate too much. The trigger lock also works flawlessly. Great tolerances built in to make that work well. A dust collection attachment would be great. On a small tool that can seem hard to do, but with a new backer plate design and a hose attachments that securely mounts to the body of this tool I bet it could be done. You'd think it is less necessary for a small tool but this thing packs a punch. Would be great for interior jobs with my m18 vac. Also, throw some purple scotchbrite on this thing. Best tool for cleaning, prepping, etc etc.

As largely a DIYer, my initial thought was why I needed to add another power sander to my collection of belt sanders, sheet sanders, orbital sanders, etc,etc. But when I looked at how often I needed to do detail sanding around the house/yard that required more than a sanding block, this made a lot of sense. And when I did use it, I wondered why I ever thought twice. It’s significantly quieter than all those other sanders, lots of power and run time on the 12v batteries, and soooo easy to control. The supplied mesh sanding sheets are very, very effective. Can’t recommend this little guy enough and it will definitely not be superfluous to your tool collection.

I've been waiting for a finish sander like the M12 FUEL™ Orbital Detail Sander for years. I've used oscillating tools but did not get the quality finish like the new M12 FUEL™ Orbital Detail Sander. The size, control and the extra foam sanding pads are great. The sander is very efficient in removing material and allows for a professional finish. My only comment is that Milwaukee needs to make a 4" long rectangle pad for this tool, (I've made several for my oscillating tools). I find that a rectangle is more useful for 80% of jobs and doesn't wear the paper as quickly. Another satisfied Milwaukee guy. purchase purchase!

Buy it....I can actually sand finish work and not ruin the work piece. I have tried Drimel tools, Fine belt detail sanders, oscilating tools all of which at some point gouge of flat spot the work piece causing me to resort to hand sanding with paper, which I personally hate! I also purchased the foam backing plate, which I highly recommend if planning to attempt any type of detail work. I have only used it on a couple of projects but this thing accomplished a smooth stain grade finish with out me breaking out the "hand" paper! Used it on stacked crown and some spiral stair spindles. I went with 80,150,220,320 grit mesh **very impressed with the life you get out of them.

Such a cool little tool to get into the tiny spots. I love the versatility and its a great addition. You can adjust the speed and the button to stay at that speed by pushing that button is a great feature. I would like Milwaukee to add a 5" random orbital sander in the m12 lineup, like Bosch has done. Currently I am on the old Craftsman 19.2v platform (I know Milwaukee readers), but I needed a dremel, so I dove into the m12 platform. I am amazed with what they are doing with the m12 lineup. I dove into it and have purchased so many tools because of how well they work. Thank you Milwaukee!

I have been doing amateur woodworking for the past 50 years and have been waiting for someone to make this tool forever. This is the 4th detail sander I have owned over the last 45 years and have been terribly disappointed with all my previous ones. They were either too ergonimacally heavy or bulky, had no speed controls and didn't fit into corners where it was needed most. Thank you, Thank you,Thank you Milwaukee for coming up with this detail sander that I had designed in my mind years ago but couldn't find it anywhere. I have used it about 10 times since I bought ir last month amd am so happy that I don't have to do block sanding to finish sanding out the corners of my projects. Regards Bob Bois

I needed a small sander for a project that would have required a lot of hand sanding in corners that was difficult to access, but very visible. I saw it reviewed on a woodworking tool review and it fit what I needed. It was the perfect answer to the problem and performed perfectly. The random orbital sanding coupled with the variable speed got the job done with ease. This sander now has a place above my sanding table and gets a lot of use for touch up and small pieces. The use of different grits and speeds cuts my sanding time significantly. Very happy with this tool.

Amazing all around sander! It can be used on projects from big to small and anything in between! Our home was owned by an “instagram influencer” prior to us purchasing recently and this tool alone has saved me hours and hours of work! The sanding pads last so much longer than traditional sandpaper and the shape of the sander, can reach into tiny corners better than anything else I’ve tried! The random orbital design not only makes the process faster but it is much more forgiving than other sanders. The foam pad attachment really does get into the finer details of uneven surfaces. I’d recommend this tool to anyone, from hobbyist to professional; I would not recommend buying a home from an Instagram DIY’er. Live and learn, and then buy Milwaukee M12 tools!
