Great tool just needs a rehaul
il y a 4 ans
I love the packout dolly I have many of the packout box's but a select few I use on a daily basis. The packout dolly is one of the best tools I bought thus far. Although I had to make a few adjustments. The casters work very well on hard surfaces but are no good when it comes to rolling off road. So to fix this problem I took the old casters off an added some 8 inch pneumatic swivel casters to the dolly which made a huge difference. The only thing now I'm thinking about is making the stance wider because she's a little top-heavy but other than that I have no complaints about this tool. I would recommend this tool to anyone especially if it was upgraded like I did this one.
Would like to see a Nothing but Heavy Duty version

250lbs is not a lot when it comes to tools, fasteners, tool accessories, and everything else that goes along with being a commercial remodeler. The 250lbs capacity isn't entirely accurate either, as it will withstand 250lbs for a short time but not day in and day out. Off-road casters would be nice, at least all-terrain, and upgraded with beefier bearings, say 300lbs per caster. Combine that with a wider stance, a stronger base material, and deployable stabilizers, then you've got a heavy duty dolly. As it stands now, I have to run 3 of them just to distribute the weight. Headache for sure
This is so much better than the rolling tool box. No handles to get in the way. The packout crate sits at a perfect height for me with a 2 drawer and a 3 drawer on top of that.it has definitely made life easier for me especially when I’m bringing a lot of tools at once. The only problem I have is the wheels keep falling out. I wrapped electrical tape around the studs to keep them in place but they still find a way out. If your trying to grad your tools and load up but right before you get to the truck and then a wheel falls out. Not the easiest thing to fix when all your packout is together. Trying to figure out how to stop from dropping all your stuff all over because a wheel won’t stay in place kinda sucks, and is definitely poor engineering.

PackOut System
il y a 4 ans
What I have of the PackOut System is the three tool boxes, two tackle boxes, the half tackle, twenty one inch tote, lunch box, ten speaker radio and the dolly. I wouldn't trade it for the world. Of course, when I am on the job I am wheeling the tool boxes. In the shop I prefer the dolly. This MUST be known to be a bit much for a single system and probably why the dolly is constructed the way it is. There is, of sorts, holes on the ends to create a train of multiple dollies. With a makeshift table to put over the largest tackle box...
With the battery operated tools of circular saw, reciprocation saw, jig saw, plunger router, impact drive and drill, hammer stapler, multi-tool, grinder and numerous batteries all fit in the largest tool box without a problem.
I can't sing the praise loud enough
I am so disappointed as this dolly is the only way to transport my tools around the job and fits in my car. However when you out more than 2 boxes on it, it wants to get a little tippy (unavoidable I know, just pointing it out), as well as the wheels are total junk. I haven't had this dolly 4 months and I hit one crack in the concrete and the wheel shattered. now I am looking to source better wheels
Hi Rybot, we are sorry to hear about your experience with the PACKOUT Dolly wheel breaking. You can find a Service and Parts list for your tool on our website under 'Support' and 'Manuals & Downloads'. Once you have located the part number, you can call 1-800-SAWDUST for assistance with processing and ordering. - Milwaukee Tool Social Team

It’s a MUST have item for packout system!!!
il y a 2 ans
It’s very useful addition to the packout system. If you own a packout it’s a must have item.
Easy to manage, smooth to move, great to maneuver around the car for automotive use.
I’m a DIY and I don’t have a big table or a big tool box surface, I use it with some drawers and add a top Milwaukee Surface and I use it around the car when working in engine Under the hood while standing.
I use this not only for stacking my packouts but more for moving heavy equipment on and off of the jobsight. Unfortunately 2 of the 3 that I own have had the wheels fall off but they are used all the time and have outlasted every other dolly that I have ever owned. It's a minor issue and easy to fix but does get annoying. Other than that these are perfect!
I was excited to buy this system, for reference I use the Packout System Organizer, Compact Organizer, Custom Foam Box (For my M18 Fuel Drill/Driver), Small Box, and 2 Large Packout Boxes to organize my HVAC tools on top of the Packout Dolly. This system made sense as I move my tools between three different trucks dependent on the job. I have owned the dolly for around 90 days and a caster has already broken in its seat. It will not remain engaged in the dolly, and this dolly is used solely on finished concrete. Reinforcing the seats on the castors of the dolly to ensure that the casters not only engage but remain locked in would increase this rating to 4 stars, making off-road casters that could actually handle grass, well packed dirt, or the average construction site would make it a five star. I’m a believer in Milwaukee tools and use their M12, and M18 systems exclusively in some pretty tough conditions. Frankly, I expected better than this.
