A safety feature that's actually appreciated!

This drill is amazing! I really do like the safety feature of it turning it self off if it's about to kick back. I'm an electrician and I use a 6-3/8in hole saw on the drill for recessed light all the time. The safety feature is really useful when I'm on a ladder.
I use this tool for light concrete drilling and drilling through metal it’s the best drill I’ve ever used the torque is smooth and strong relief the pressure on your hands l really like the weight it’s just right for my hands. I use this tool a lot and I love it
I already had an older version of this drill, also an M18 Fuel Brushless. This one, while with a slightly larger barrel, seems to be more powerful. It also had that anti-torque sensor, so maybe it won't break my wrist if the bit gets caught, lol. Great drill.
I own a couple of M18 drills but have not had a M18 FUEL. Wow- what a difference. It's stronger, faster and has the options needed for regular or heavy use. To me it's worth the extra cost to have a great tool. I will consider FUEL products in the future.
Perfect for the metal that I drill every day. The multiple settings make it very easy to drill through certain types of metal. Also the half inch chuck allows me to use hammer bits on hammer mode which saves me the hassle of carrying my hammer drill.
The anti rotate protection in case of the drill bit getting stuck and trying to roll you over like a gator after a meal is very well designed and should save a wrist or two from injury. Milwaukee always pushing design envelopes and hitting home runs.
Just started using, but seems a sturdy, well built, compact hammer/drill with power to spare for DIY projects and ice drilling with my 8inch strike master ice auger. I like the auto stop safety feature and manual clutch. Should fit my needs nicely.
Have been a Dewalt user for the last 15 years, received this kit as a gift and love everything about it. Nice looking tools, batteries last a long time, everything has good power and built heavy duty. Nice work Milwaukee, you have my attention!
Really enjoy the autostop feature, was drilling 1/2" holes through 3/8" mild steel recently and it saved my wrist many times, its very powerful so having that helps save your wrists and makes using this drill an enjoyable experience. 10/10
Purchased this 1/2 hammer drill for work in the shop and to run an auger for ice fishing in the winter time. Like always milwaukee delivers high quality battery operated tools that can handle abuse. Extremely satisfied with my purchase.
Beat Hammer Drill on the market. I’ve always owned Milwaukee, but have co-workers that use other brands. There have been several occasions that the competitor’s tools just wouldn’t get the job done, and they had to borrow my Milwaukee.
Milwaukee has always been my go to corded and battery operated hand tools, reliable to well made. The auto stop is not my favorite feature of the new drills, I preferred the clutch mechanism, that would be my reason for 4 stars.
I'm impressed with the lock up safety feature that stops the motor in an instant. My first Milwaukee M18 caught me off guard with its torque until I better dialed it in. This drill is as powerful but much safer for my employees.
It's a beast! I'm so glad I picked it out as my free tool combo deal. It has so much power. Just set some 8" 1/2 lag screws for a deck in cedar and it went in like butter. And the anti kick back is definitely a wrist saver
These tools seem to be of very good quality so far. They feel different from the DeWalt from the moment you pick them up. More area to grip, more torque, smoother operation. They just feel better. Time will tell longevity.
Works as advertised, good ergonomics, easy function and adjustment. Periodically depending on the bit (size and style) you are using the chuck has self loosened, this could be user error or an unknown issue not sure yet.
This drill has amazing power for its size but I can still dial it back enough to mix a quart of paint with no bubbles. I've used reamers with this drill and absolutely needed the handle that's how strong this drill is.
Every time i buy a dril it doesn’t seem to last as long as the one before. Drilling 2" holes with a hole saw stripped something inside. Still waiting on the outcome of that. Bought a replacement because i need a drill
Great drill, with lots of power!
Used for Industrial Maintenance of a Biofuel Facility, small concrete anchors are a breeze, and variable speed is great for drilling holes.
Strongly recommend tool from my toolbox!
Autostop works like a charm, otherwise very similar to the 3rd gen. Time will tell but hopefully it wont have the same electronic clutch issues as the 3rd gen. Cutting 6” holesaw through drywall and wood was easy.
This hammer drill is powerful. I recently used it with a 4” hole saw with no bogging down. I love the anti twist feature because you will need it. I have had several experiences with this feature and it works great.
I had the gen 2 before but let the smoke out, new Tool power is much more, very compact drill, battery power consumption is much lower, overall I was worried as the drill looks small, but it performed very well
I purchased this tool to replace my gen1 fuel m18 drill due to it being worn out. I absolutely love this new drill and am continually impressed with the product innovations that Milwaukee keeps coming out with.
This new model is amazing. Just upgraded to a new drill. There was an instantly noticeable difference in all the upgrades from the old model. To the ramp of speed up and down to the auto stop sensor. Well done.
Great drill that is perfect balance of power and size. I love the brushless speed controller and the steel carbide chuck. The really nice feature is the anti kickback which keeps you from wrecking your wrist.
I use Milwaukee products at work and it was about time that I overhauled my personal kit . You can’t go wrong with a tried and tested brand like Milwaukee. My M18 Fuel works like a dream, no complaints here.
Great tool! Very versatile and has no problem cutting through concrete. Being able to turn on/off the hammer function makes it worth passi g up the regular drill/driver and purchasing this. Highly recommend.
Great powerful set. Only thing that’s disappointing is the light. Feels very cheap and not very bright. I would just opt to not have it included as after trying it I do not think I will actually use it.
Work’s great, little on the heavy side.
I have only had the opportunity to use it once. I look forward to using it again soon.
With the battery it is a little bit heavier than what I was expecting.
Right tool for the job. Industrial site and industrial work. Does not overheat like others. Over three hundred holes drilled through 1/4” plate. Still going like day one. Happy with this tool.
