Heavy = well made

Nice grip on drill handle, the chuck holds on tight but it’s brand new only time will tell. It is pretty heavy but I like that because it feels well made. I Have used it for a 3” hole saw and had no problems with it. Have not used the hammer drill option so I have no comment on that. Overall I am very happy with Milwaukee tools.

Only battery tools I’ll ever buy! powerful, tough, and the m18 & m-12 platforms are second to none. Only thing I don’t really care for is over time the battery tool connection gets worn and the contact points for the battery pack lose a solid connection. Over all the best on the market. I’m a proud owner of a lot of these tools.

Great drill! Heavier chuck option

Great drill for our construction needs. This drill has the large, more robust 1/2” chuck which is a big upgrade from the other milwaukee M18 drills. Boring and repetitive use and it hasn’t skipped a beat. If your contemplating a milwaukee drill, I’d upgrade to this one over the smaller models if you intend to use it frequently.

Good drill, but chuck will fail

Good drill, pretty durable other than the chuck. Been doing electrical work for 9 years and i cannot count how many times ive seen them lock up so tightly on drill bits that you need a channel locks to break them loose and/or they will loosen unexpectedly and drop the bit. Fuel drills, brushed home owners specials all do it.

Great Tool

Coming from the orange brand. What a difference in quality between the two. The power is unreal. Bonus the chuck isn’t all out of round. meaning I can finally fit smaller bits versus having to go dig out the drill press. I wish I made the switch years ago. The 5.0 batteries charge way faster than I’m used too.

And there is no replacement for the best drill money can buy. This hammer drill by far the gen 3 is the best hammer drill I have ever used. The auto start function works great and is an awesome addition. Nobody can come close to the power that this drill has. From the LEDs to the impacts it’s extremely powerful.

I love this drill and always keep it at my side. It's got more power than any cordless hammer drill I've ever used and it's a delight to hold. Best set for a handyman

This set is solid. The saw is better than any other brand I've had since it ramps up while you're cutting into something. Cool feature for sure. The hammer drill is a must if you have to do any masonry work. This one was smooth sailing compared to my old one. I have never had any issues with Milwaukee products

Awesome drill

This is the third generation of this drill i have owned. My first one didnt have the hammerdrill feature. I love the variable speed and power of this drill. I use it almost every day on the job and on the weekends for projects around the house. Very pleased with ghe performance and durability of this drill.

Multi purpose drill

Awesome drill even better than the first brushless milwaukee I had bought a few years back that has taken a lot of abuse from building a trailer to drilling holes with an ice auger for ice fishing. My old one will be dedicated to ice fishing now and the new one will be used around the house. Great product

I have owned several drill -drivers- hammer drills over the years, Milwaukee never disappoints. I also own many ( probably too many ) M18 and M12 tools . I don’t think I have ever had one break while under warranty , they are basically bulletproof !!!!!

The drill was originally purchased to attach to a cordless drill ice auger, however it was first used to drill approximately 50 1/2” holes through 8x8” beams for a retaining wall. We were impressed by how effortlessly the drill cut through the wood and how small it was compared to older models.

Compact and powerful

This drill as plenty of power to offer . Switching from yellow to red and I won’t go back ! The fact that it’s compact you can easilly fit this in your packout backpack and it doesn’t need a bigger battery to be powerful so for me it’s another plus cuz you can save the biggger battery for saws !

Outstanding Hammer Drill/Driver

This Hammer Drill/Driver has plenty of power. The forward/reverse switch is located in a very easy to change location. It is nicely balanced. The clutch/power adjustment ring moves easily and delivers an audible click as you dial the setting you prefer. I’m completely satisfied with mine.

Great hammer drill

My Rigid brushless hammer drill stopped hammering so I turned it in to be repaired and bought this Fuel hammer drill it’s a big upgrade very impressed. Lots of power and torque. Runs great with the 6amp battery. Loving these fuel tools! 3/8” mid torque impact is the next thing I’m getting

Solid form for its size.

It is small in terms of their dimension to competitors, but it is rather heavy and solid. well plated around and the handle are nice in place, It drills really fast and solid, as a wood frame plumber I need to punch tons of hole daily for my work, sometimes I forgot I had a hole hog.

Great drill

This is the second tool that I purchase from the manufacturer. Very impressive preformance, used a 6.0 battery, powerful drill, it even works better than my corded one. Don't know if it will last, only time will tell, but heard that these are very good tools and that they do last.

Last Milwaukee drill I will buy

First impressions are that this drill will be the last Milwaukee drill that I ever buy. Not because it has let me down. Nay, nay, nay, my fellow Red fans, but because it is simply the best cordless drill I have ever had the pleasure of using. I don’t see how it could get any better.

Hammer Drill with safety in mind

I have the brushless drill I used it to build my patch panel drill through wood block this new M18 is powerful and has a safety future. Would of liked more light in the front but it does the job. This drill is solid and reliable so far no issues. It fits in my milwaukee pack out.

Need a better design for side handle

My only complaint is the side handle. It is somewhat difficult to install and has no ability to rotate around the neck of the drill. It would have been a better design to have a collar that slips onto the neck of the drill and could then be adjusted to whatever angle is wanted.

Wrong charger

The drill set is nice works good but batteries will not charge fully with charger that comes with drill kit . Charger is rated for 3amp output the kit comes with 5 Amp Hour (2) batteries. The battery should have at least a five amp output charger to charge the batteries fully

Seiously heavy duty

Seiously heavy duty. Incredibly more durable than other brands that ive owned. They do everything well from drilling hardened concrete to steel. They glitch occasionally when they get older where you have to remove and reinsert the battery for it to work but its not often.

Excellent performance, got the job done.

Excellent, met and exceeded my expectations. Got the job done. Drilling 12-14 inch pylons for a dock install. Great power from this drill. My older gen2 M18 Fuel Milwaukee was no longer functioning correctly, this is it's replacement, more power than the previous drill.

Exactly what the job required.

This tool is far superior to the inexpensive cordless drill I replaced. With a masonry bit the Milwaukee makes short, easy work out of a task that was impossible for my previous drill. I'm sure this will be reliable for many, many years. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Worth it! Quality, power, awesome new features

Finally retired my first generation hammer drill, and this was a very welcome replacement. Still amazed that the amount of power in that size of drill. Wow!
My first GEN lasted me eight years, we’ll see how this one stacks up.
And the new auto stop feature is fantastic.

Tough and Powerful

This tool is tough and powerful. So far it hasn't backed down from any of the holes its had to drill for me: from 6" and down , through hardwood and plywood. It's a beast and with the auto stop safety feature it won't tear your arm off while its getting the job done.

Lots of power and easy to use.
