Great pants, fit well

Pockets are nice for carrying smaller supplies needed on the job.
At first i was (maybe still am) a little disappointed Milwaukee didnt simply offer some comfortable low rise, loose fitting denim work jeans. But i bought a pair anyway to try as soon as they were released, so ive had them a while now. Ive never being that guy to wear anything other than jeans to work. I’m a telco lineman for a utility company - everyone wears jeans. I wasnt blown away from what I received initially - but i wore them anyway. Gotta say it - they are VERY comfortable and seem very well made. Ive also had a pair of Carhartt ripstop pants sitting in a drawer that I received as a gift a while back, and I honestly prefer the Milwaukee pants to them. Theres no getting around it - they exceeded my expectations and I’m glad when my one pair of Milwaukee pants find themselves at the top of the drawer in the morning when i get dressed.
I own many of Milwaukee’s products and almost everything they offer in their clothing line (over a dozen of their shirts alone). These pants are about on par with my favorite Milwaukee shirts and I’m glad i bought them. Still hopeful Milwaukee will decide to compete my Levi’s with some denim jeans of their own. Now I’m off the order another one of their new hybrid t shirts….

Great pants got 2 pair both pockets are ripping out
Love everything about these pants but as many have noted the pockets are astonishingly fragile. I'm on my second pair of these otherwise awesome pants that are essentially useless because the pockets have torn out. I have never had a pair of pants tear out their pockets in my life and I've never had a pair of Milwaukee pants NOT tear out their pockets. The hazard that this creates if you're working at height is just TOO MUCH. If your work area is on a metal grate above process equipment or other people the risk of you putting something in a busted out pocket and it slipping down your leg and through the grate and either injuring someone or fouling up some sort of expensive machinery or process is just too much.
Milwaukee, I love you and the vast majority of your products. I'm not changing my opinion based on some lousy pockets and I'll buy the next version of these pants no doubt but please keep in mind that you have a very large collection of very well documented pocket failures showing a consistent issue repeated on a scale that is much more than what would be considered pocket failure. How long until a blown out pocket is responsible for a slip hazard? (I've personally slipped while carrying a heavy load because a pen fell out of a blown out pocket and rolled when I stepped on it. Not a fun experience) Or an object falls on someone or something from height and results in injury or damage to expensive equipment? I'm not a lawyer but if these pants were in my store I would PULL THEM OFF THE SHELVES and not sell another pair until that issue is resolved and the rate of pocket failure is at a more reasonable level.
I can't believe I'm writing an essay on pocket failure but I WANT to love these pants and I WANT all the stuff that Milwaukee sells to be the best there is, and I do NOT want there to be a stigma around certain products as being something that "Milwaukee just can't figure out"

Comfortable but pocket ripped
il y a 3 ans
To start I will say that I am a full time new construction plumber who works mainly on Multi Family construction sites so I tend to put my pants through a lot and usually don’t expect more than 6 months from a pair. My initial impression of these pants: they look and feel good, I’m 6’4” 215 and usually wear a 35 which is an odd size so I ordered these in a 36x34 and they ended up a touch loose on the waist and just the right length in the leg. So I would say overall true to size fit. The pants material feels good right out of the box like it’s been washed many times. I like the design with the reinforced pocket edges I’ve had those rip out before and I love the carpenter pocket on the right side that is a must have for my knife and marker. I also appreciate how wide that pocket is, as I’ve had pairs that are hard to fish things out of there sometimes. I was a little weary of the way the main pants button was attached via a sort of ribbon and not a direct rivet but that has surprisingly held up quite well. My biggest problem with pants always ends up being the crotch rip, in fact I haven’t owned a pair of pants yet that hasn’t ripped right down the middle of the crotch, even pants with a crotch gusset in them until now. The way these pants are stitched down there has really held up and stayed flexible for me and my long legs. The gusset design gives me lots of room for movement down there without stressing the stitching or material so big thumbs up to Milwaukee for this design. Now I have recently found the one shortcoming of these pants. After owning them for approximately 3 months, the pocket on the left has ripped out on the inside where there is a lower grade fabric. That pocket is where I exclusively keep my cell phone so it didn’t rip due to having something sharp in there I just think the lower durability pocket liner fabric wore out and split. There is a little bit of stronger fabric at the bottom of that pocket so it still catches my phone 50 percent of the time, but the other half of the time I slide my phone in it goes right down my pant leg and onto the floor. Everything else considered these are durable and comfortable pants. I thought I may have finally found a pair of pants that could last me at a fair price but this pocket problem is a real nuisance and I think I may keep trying other brands
