Very Impressive/ Worth the upgrade.
il y a 3 ans
Very impressive!! I have had the non fuel version for a couple years now. This is a massive upgrade not only in performance but also a lot quieter. The Auto setting takes a min to get used to but works well and I keep it in that setting all the time. It is slightly longer then the old model. The blade change is much easier then the old way and love the magnets in the head that allow the blade to stay in place during blade changes or adjustment. Also don’t forget the slot in the screw to tighten the blade can be loosened with another blade for leverage you don’t need a screwdriver. Overall a solid tool that will give you years of service.
I use my multi-tool multiple times a day. It seems like a great upgrade from the previous m18 model. Though I do have an issue that someone else just posted about. My batteries are lose while clipped in. Ive tried 3 new batteries and 2 old ones and the tool won't hold the battery tight amd theres a big wobble that makes a noise almost as loud as the tool itself. I will exchange the tool soon to see if I got a bad fitting one and report back if the same issue is there. Other then that it's my new favorite tool I own. The best feature is the 3 led lights, it gives much more light then the other models which one have one and is the main reason while I got this over the m12.
I use this multi tool everyday and it never seems to fail me. It's definitely a worth using, it is pricey and wish it wasn't so much. I do love the variable speed it has, Im able to pick the speed I want when I want. What I don't like about that is, that it is at a spot where you can accidentally change the speed on it. Another flaw it had that needs to get fixed, the battery terminals will fail by losing contact with the battery, and that bugged the crap out of me. I did end up swapping it out for another one, but something like that should be more heavy duty. Overall the tool does me great, and helps me get my job done well. Those flaws it has from my own experience should get addressed.
My wife has stopped complaining about me having extension cords everywhere. Why? Because that's no longer the case. The day she said I could start switching over all of my corded tools to cordless was one of the best days of my life. We had a massive garage sale, and the corded tools were (by far) the biggest attraction. All of the money I made off of tools has been reinvested in Milwaukee replacements (and it's the best money I've ever spent). This Oscillating Multi-Tool is no exception. It does everything I need it to with ease. I'm now officially a Milwaukee fanboy (as my wife and son say).
I’ve recently joined the Milwaukee family from DeWalt this year. I’ve bought the M18 Fuel hammer drill driver and impact driver, I’ve never been so happy with the performance and beyond excellent quality. So I decided to add the M18 Fuel Oscillating tool to my lineup. Unfortunately as soon as I put on the battery I noticed A LOT of wobble movement, turned on the tool and the battery seemed like it would cause damage. The tool adapter housing wasn’t seated at all, without touching it, the housing would slip all over by tilting the tool. I had to return it and downgrade to the M12 Fuel Oscillating tool instead. Zero issues with it, performs like a beast. Just wish I didn’t have to go from M18 to M12.
After the first few uses this tool lives up to the hype. The hype being the many videos and reviews that I looked up on-line before buying. I cut thru 4 nails in a few seconds and I was very impressed. I trimed about 6 feet of hardwood and it was amazing. There is no vibration at all felt thru this tool, however there is something funky about the oscillations/motor that (sound like vibrations) if that makes sense to anyone. Apart from that minor annoyance the oscillator worked flawlessly. This was definitely a good buy for me and I would strongly recommend it for anyone.
I always love any product that Milwaukee produces, and the oscillating tool lived up to that. The only reason I gave it a 4-star is for the fact that it can't stand up straight due to how the battery is attached, the quick release is not really that quick like other competitors, and the variable speed dial gets turned sometimes due to where my thumb is placed while grasping the handle. The performance, durability, and power though is no match, and I would definitely recommend this multi tool and Milwaukee to anyone who needs to count on a tool for many, many years.
This is a great tool, I love the multi-tool. Only reason for giving 4 instead of 5 star is because I feel like the M12 version is just as good as this one. One thing too that I really wish that Milwaukee was to have done, like Rockwell did, was to change the oscillating degree range. This may not seem like much but if you are working in a tight corner or need to be more precise with the cut width, this degree change makes that difference as it may take longer but it will make a more controlled cut when needed.
I still love this tool and use this and the M12.
