Couldn’t live without it
il y a 6 ans
I originally bought this to do some flooring work and wanted something to trim around existing molding without having to pull the old painted trim off and risk tearing the wallboard behind it. It worked absolutely awesome for this task. The variety of attachments for it is vast and now I use this thing for all kinds of different tasks that I had never imagined when I bought it. My poor sawzall hasn’t seen much use once owning this, its uses are only limited by your imagination.
The ubiquitous multi tool is a must have tool! There’s are sooooooo many things that you can do with this tool except run it for a long time. The variable speed died on the second flooring job I took this to and the replacement that I purchased died the same way after one day of use. Please make a FUEL version of this tool and include an an easier way to quickly change blades the current method takes way to long and leaves the possibility of losing the blade retaining bolt.
I loved this tool I bogut it about a 1.5 - 2 years ago any time I had to do something in a tight or tricky spot and even just everyday tasks like outlet box cut outs in drywall it was my go to tool. But recently it just stopped working I turn on the power button and the led light comes on but nothing else. If I flip the button back and forth repeatedly sometimes it will come on but it runs very sluggishly. The power dial no longer seems to work either. It's very disappointing
the model 2626-20 works good when the blade is properly installed.. HOWEVER i have problems installing the universal fit blades.. You must use an tiny adapter under the tool mounting bolt. The adapter can be awkard or difficult to install. It takes time to install and get in installed properly.. When the adapter is finally in place the M-18 model 2626-20 works good. Some other brands have much easier blade installation methods.. Milwaukee needs update blade installation!!! ..

Buzz Cut Anyone
il y a 11 mois
This Muli Tool I specifically purchased to help me with demo work, & it didn’t disappoint!
Compact yet powerful.
Along with my HackZall, these two tools worked great.
I found that instead of running to grab my circular saw, I would use the Multi Tool to make quick small cuts. It even helped me cut out nice clean finishes lines on sheetrock for electrical outlets.
I also like the ability of being able to cut a variety of materials with all the optional blades available.
I used to use a corded Dremel Multimax as my multi-tool of choice, but switched to the Milwaukee after the Dremel broke. I went with the fuel option as I have been trying to go with the fuel as much as I can. This tool has some features that I didn’t realize I would love. The magnetic blade holder is outstanding and makes changing the blades, changing angles on the blades super smooth. I would recommend this tool to anyone that needs an everyday multi-tool.
Perfect for the job. I had the oscillating tool on my wish list for some time. I purchased it to simplify the removal of and existing door frame and door replacement. I could not have done the job so neatly and quickly with my hand tools. The tool was quick, efficient and produced clean cuts in tight spaces. Run time on my batteries was a bit less than expected, but had no issues with recharging time.
I was happy with my M18 cordless drill and impact driver so it was an easy decision to go for the multi-tool for my home reno. Quick and easy to set up and use. It's my first multi-tool and I found lots of uses I hadn't anticipated. It's well built with a good balance. Love the portability and the LED light helps working in those dark corners. I don't know how I got along without this tool for so long.
This tool is a beast. I love the speed settings and how it slowly revs up to speed instead of starting off full throttle when you pull the trigger. My orange version jumps all over the place but the Milwaukee is very smooth and doesnt put off a ton of dust. I'm really curious to see how the Fuel multi-tool performs. I'm sure it's even smoother and it looks more ergonomic with the slimmed down handle.
I gave this tool 1 star for more the one reason but the main one is that tool will destroy your battery packs this tool vibrates so much it melts the plastic on the battery and deforms it it can even get stuck to the tool. This tool did not last a year and ruined two of my batteries. Now the tool is loose at the head where it meets body don't use it anymore would look else where for a multi tool.
I loved going cordless with this multi tool, because it is so handy. Unfortunately this tool shocks my hand when it is running. The shock seems to come from the area around the on/off switch. At first I thought it was heat, but then it started happening immediately after starting the tool. It seems to be getting worse. Not sure if this is common, but it sure is annoying and painful.
Hello Jason, we are so sorry that this is happening to you. We will email you shortly to gather more information on what's happening. -Cayla with Milwaukee Tool

Short battery life
il y a 2 ans
Tool works great. The provided battery lasts 15-30 minutes of use on low power (setting 2). Fortunately, it can be used with the same batteries included with Milwaukee drills, saws, etc. Only once did the blade pop off for unknown reasons, the locking mechanism seemed secure and hadn't released. Not a professional grade tool but excellent for hobbyist when using bigger batteries.
If you want a 10 minute tool then this is for you!

So disappointed. I purchased this tool awhile back, but never used it until today. It sat in the box in my garage untouched for a few months before today. I was using it for a maximum 10 minutes before it completely broke on me. The sad thing is I wasn't giving it full power. Now I'm sitting here disappointed with a half finished job and a broken tool kit (battery died as well).

Wonderful tool
il y a un an
Had a bathroom remodel in progress before I received news that I needed to have surgery which put my project on hold because I didn’t have the strength to cut out the Sheetrock with a razor knife. I bought the multitool and even though I didn’t have the strength to do the job physically the multitool made it possible for me to continue the work through my recovery process.
Most versatile tool I own. Used it to rip down baseboards that were trapped behind tile and grout on a nightmare renovation. Used it to cut pvc and copper pipe , used it to cut drywall on light fixture installs , used it to demo , really useful with a scraper blade to remove caulk from door frames so I don't tear drywall paper . Also been using it to sand prior to paint .
I got this tool about 1 1/2 month ago, btw it works great i love it but...
when i use it the buttons on the batteries get stuck and i have to use my hammer to get them loose. i know kind of excessive measure (i dont hit them hard but just enough to get them loose.) Inoticed the plastic looks a bit more fragile than my other m18 tools.
has anyone else had this problem?

A great tool every one should have
il y a un an
A multi- tool is handy and helpful for many things. I have a course model from a different brand. I bought this mainly because of the lack of power at a job site. I really appreciate the ability of Multi tool's ability to cut many things in hard to get to locations. If you have never used one I think you would be pleasantly surprised at how much they really do
Never even imagined all the uses I would have for this Multitool, but I love having it in my collection. Has plenty of power, goes where i need it and works to make the cuts I cant get to with my other toys. I have used it for home improvement projects, automotive work and cutting in outlet boxes for wiring projects. This tool is a work horse I would recommend.
Just what I was looking for. Working as desired thus far. I love the M18 tools, didn't realize the difference until after this purchase between M18 and M18 Fuel, slightly wished I'd looked at the Fuel version of this tool, however after some heavy use thus far this one is performing great and for the price difference from the Fuel I'm super pleased.
I love all of Milwaukee tools, I was beyond excited to get this multi- tool to add to my small but growing Milwaukee tool collection. It's so smooth and easy to handle. Being a Asian female working on repairs or remodels for Veterans says I am serious about my work & to show gratitude for towards them by using the best in tools. My Milwaukee tools.
Absolutely one of the best most versital tools I have owned. No tools required to change blades or put on detail sanding pad. I have used corded multi tools in the past but the cord was always in the way. Also pins wore down or broke. These pins are heavy duty. Long lasting on one battery. I love this it’s a must have in any DYIers tool kit.
Great addition to our shop. We've been using this one for removing chassis liners, which are known to be stubborn and thick like rhino liners and line x. Although it wasn't designed for it, it comes in real handy grinding off the top layers. Fast cutting and carving. Another great tool from Milwaukee. I am sure soon we'll have all Milwaukee.
I bleed Milwaukee. I love every tool of theirs. But I fail to understand why they aren’t a completely brushless line? My multi tool sounds like it’s about to come undone at any moment. Not to mention the setup to change blades is absolutely TERRIBLE. You need 3 hands, almost. They need to take this and head to the drawing board for a V2
This has been a great tool, other than issues I have had with replacing blades. The accessory bolt will not loosen to allow the blade to be replaced making it worthless. I cannot find any information on how to correct this other than simply throwing the tool away and buying a competitor product with a functional way to replace blades.
I have not been able to take this out in the field yet. But first thing I noticed when i turned the unit on there is quite a bit of vibration. The on and off switch is loose and vibrates and makes sound from all the movement. Also this unit seems louder than many multitools I've used b4. Is this normal? Or did I receive a dud?
Purchased this about a month ago for little projects around the house and I must say this little tool is handy for a number of different tasks. I use it for small projects, but given it's versatility I could definitely see it being handy on a job site as well. This tool has been a great addition to my toolbox.
Not a professional tool.
I don't understand why they don't make it brushless.
The motor has now started to smell like burnt again. This is the second time since I bought it.
First time Milwaukee replaced the entire interior components.
Will see what they do now that it is failing again.
Not happy at all.

Excellent, High-Quality Tool
il y a 3 ans
You can tell from first opening the box that this is a solid, high quality product. I've only been able to use it a few times now since I purchased it and I'm glad I got it. It works very well and seems like it'll last a long time. I'm very happy with my purchase and highly recommend this to anyone else.
Doesn’t have the power it should. I came from the Makita LXT platform and was very disappointed. Ergos were not great, I kept turning the speed dial when I changed grip. The battery should attach perpendicular or parallel to the body. Blade attachment should not require the center pin to be threaded.
Happy with the tool overall. Have only had for one month and the LED light has not worked since I took it out of the box. Happy with the operation of the tool, like the quick blade change, just wish I knew how to get it replaced to one with a working LED light. Anyone from Milwaukee, please help!
