M18 Fuel Impact Driver Issue

I own many Milwaukee M18 tools and decided to replace my 2nd drill/driver set with this M18 Fuel Drill/Driver. Being my most utilized tools, I figured it was worth the additional investment.
I do love the power, size and weight of the new tools however there must be a defect with the impact driver. It is almost impossible to insert driver bits or the bit holder into the driver. I thought this might be due to the fact that the impact driver is new but it remains extremely difficult. I have to use pliers to remove the bits (Milwaukee Branded) from the driver.
Most of my tools are Milwaukee and they work great however this one turned out to be a dud.

So much more superior to Dewalt’s chuck design

The chuck on the drill is super powerful, and I love that it is steel. Easy to grip large or very small bits. The driver is a beast and I love the selectable power settings, super useful! This kit has it all with batteries and charger. I was a Dewalt user for a decade, never really trying out Milwaukee. My work partner handed me his Milwaukee 18v drill, and when I felt that chuck and it’s holding power, I knew I had was experiencing a level or two beyond what Dewalt was offering in professional quality. I will slowly over time sell off my Dewalt and replace everything with Milwaukee moving forward. Better late than never!
Bought there M18 impact driver and drill diver set 2 years ago and ever since then every new power tool is a milwaukee. There's no other brand that can compete with there power,durability and best of all there warranty. I install garage doors "residential and "commercial ". There impact driver is the fastest and strongest I've ever used which helps my wrist and shoulder from hurting by end of day and there 5 amp battery lasts a long time which is a huge bonus for me. I'm more than half way there replacing my old brand of power tools and will continue to add to my arsenal with there products for a very long time.
My old DeWalt drill and driver 18v batteries were coming to the end of their life and rather than get the conversion kit, I made the decision to upgrade to Milwaukee based all the positive reviews and quality specs. I’m beyond impressed with the workmanship quality and attention to detail in the design. Both the drill and driver are incredibly powerful despite their light weight and I’m excited to see how they perform on bigger projects. So far on small projects around the house I have been very impressed. I would definitely recommend them and am now looking for other tools to add to the new collection.
Great combo kit, the auto stop feature on the hammer drill is trippy at first, but I can see how it will be extremely useful. The impact is a little smaller than the previous version, I can’t tell a difference performance wise for the most part, but the 3 lights are nice. I personally like the surge models for the quietness of them, so I’m hoping they launch a new surge model with the lights soon. The case is okay, eventually I’m sure it’ll all end up in a packout case. The charger is pointless with the new rapid and super chargers. Milwaukee needs to just upgrade to rapid chargers for all their kits.
Replaced my gen2 after 7 years of faithful service

I’m a Boat Rigger by trade and expose my tools to harsh conditions, before I discovered the quality of Milwaukee Tools I was replacing my former brand yearly. But since the switch I haven’t looked back and after 7 long years of constant abuse both by trade and personal my Gen 2 M18 fuel hammer drill/driver gave out. Well beyond my expectations it served me well. Needing a new one right away I decided to get the combo kit and was instantly impressed with the amount of power and happy to see the quality was as I expected. I hav amassed a large collection of Milwaukee Tools and will never look back!

One thing i have to say which is not directly related to the drills but more directed to the Milwaukee support. I purchased a different Milwaukee tool which right out of the bag I had an issue, and i have to give it up to there support they were on it wasted no time correcting it. They responded to every email quickly and phone call with speed.
They probably have the support i have ever experienced from all the tool brands i ever had to deal with. You keep this up and I will be a Milwaukee tool user for a long time.
This is my first M18 purchase, I am finally replacing my 25 year old Makita drill and impact. I really didn't want to pay this much for just a drill and an impact, but I wanted something that was quality. Wow, am I ever happy with this choice! The drill and impact just ooze quality! Both tools have a lot of power, but they also have triggers that work very nicely so that you can control how much power you need. The lighting on both tools is very good. I like the auto stop feature on the drill, I like the power mode selector on the impact, and I love that they come in a case...a very good quality case! I am very impressed and glad that I spent the extra money for this combo, you can just tell that they are going to last.
