Impressive mower for my first non-gas model.

The Milwaukee mower is impressive.
After moving to a new home with a larger lot of widely varying grass types / growth rates, I finally switched to a battery powered mower.
First cut of the year, 4-6 inches off many sections while others were 1-2 inches to hit a consistent lawn height for at least a few days, this mower didn't flinch and provided very clean consistent cuts.
~14000sf with many sections being bumpy terrain/clumping grass, the 23-22HD proved easy to maneuver and had over 50% battery when I was finished.
I don't use the self propelled function so I can't comment on the paddle comfort many reviews brought up as a potential issue but the handle grip was comfortable and easy to handle single handed while picking up branches / sticks in the unmowed next pass.
The mower is quiet enough that even with ear protectors on, I was able to hear my cell phone ringing in my pocket while mowing.
Looking forward to years of use.

I was skeptical about switching from gas to electric, but I'm glad I made the switch!
This mower has tons of power, and a surprising amount of runtime with the included batteries.
I am very impressed, and very satisfied with this mower, would absolutely recommend it to anyone, especially those already in the M18 ecosystem.
I absolutely love my new Milwaukee mower. The 12.0 batteries that are included are more than enough to cut my front and back yard. I don’t have a tiny yard but it’s not huge either. If because of work I’m getting a late start on the yard the lights that are on it are more than enough so that I’ll be able to finish what I started. 10/10 for sure!
I absolutely enjoy this mower. Took a few mows to get used to it after using a gas Toro for many years. The only thing I don't like about this mower, is the mulch plug leaks grass clippings. The plug does not stay is place very well. Other than that this mower works very well. Battery power holds up very well and I get a clean cut every mow.
I actually enjoy mowing now. It had amazing u-tube user reviews. It is pricey but with many Milwaukee tools I own, the batteries can be used with all of them. Everything works well and the cut quality is exceptional. Their are some other good cordless mowers but I am convinced this one is the best and a real improvement over the gas mowers.
Everything you would expect from Milwaukee…quality, durability and craftsmanship! I’ve officially switched everything from gas to M18 FUEL. So far, so good with the Mower, Trimmer, and Edger. The Blower…is just ok for the light stuff. I’ll wait patiently until Milwaukee releases an updated beast mode version that will remove the heavier stuff.
Hasn’t given me any issues but fairly early to be 100% confident in. It all works properly but we’ve only used it four times so far. Each time we use it has been on a lot that’s just under half an acre. We typically use half the juice from our batteries when we’re finished on a mid-high setting. We also keep our lawn maintained and cut high.
I bought the mower and then wouldn't you know it, I caught Covid-19. I had to wait a couple of weeks until my strength was back up and as a result my lawn was severely overgrown. I was a bit worried just looking at the lawn and this being my first try with a battery powered mower. The Milwaukee mower handled the overgrown lawn like a champ.
so after doing a fair amount of research I decided to pull the trigger on this mower a few days ago. I’m so glad I did. The thing is a beast! More than enough battery life for my third of an acre lot. I could probably mow it three times on a single charge. This mower is everything I’ve come to expect from Milwaukee, Power and reliability.
It must have been the first week on the market for the Milwaukee lawnmower because they didn't even have one on display yet. One thing that stood out was the price but, when I see the name Milwaukee its like seeing the " Real Mccoy" the namesake. So I purchased the lawnmower and the rest is History! Now ask me in 5 years how I like it.
great mower for my needs, needed a mower to do clean up work around the main yard. Wanted a electric mower for simplicity. Having other M18 products this was the obvious choice. It cuts great and is simple to use, easy to maneuver... Overall very happy, and I use the batteries for my other tools as well. Could not ask for more.
I have used this mower for several weeks. Its a great mower, provides a good cut, and is extremely quiet. However, the mulching plug does a poor job of sealing, and the rear cover is not strong enough to hold it in position. Grass clipping are continuously coming out the rear of the mower. The mulch plug needs to be redesigned.
I got this back in April, I absolutely love this lawnmower, the cut is fantastic, the batteries last enough to complete the grass. Cut at night was also good and quiet. My only concern is the deck underneath is already peeling and rusting, not sure how this is happening as I sweep out the deck after each use. Still gave it 5 stars

A class all it own

The new milwaukee m18 powered lawnmower deserves its own class. From build quality to power. Nothing compares. My property is 100x100 and yet to run out of battery power with the mower at full power at a level 3 speed. I'm very impressed with the integrated lighting system and my ability to mow the grass after work in the fall.
I've owned this mower for 22 months. My batteries now refuse to take a full charge. When I first got it I could mow my entire (large) backyard on one charge, took me about an hour. Now I'm lucky to get two bars. My last mow was 7 minutes after charging overnight. Two new batteries cost as much as a gas mower. Very disappointed.

Milwaukee lawnmower!

Just bought my first home so funny enough this is my first lawnmower. This product works great and is super quiet. Battery is more than enough for my lawn
Plus I’m starting to build my tool arsenal up and I wanna stick with Milwaukee. My company uses them and I have not been disappointed.
Downside is it’s very expensive.
I recently tried out my new mower and wanted to compare it to my old gas mower, with the gas stats in brackets.
- **Cutting Height:** 4” (Gas: 3-3/4”)
- **Speed:** 5 (Gas: Matches walking pace)
- **Mode:** Mulching (Gas: Mulching)
**Performance:**
- **Mowing Time:** 45 minutes (Gas: 75 minutes)
- **Battery Life:** Just over half capacity remaining (Gas: 1-2 gallons used)
I only used the turbo mode for a minute, but I’m impressed with the overall cut quality. I love the convenience of being able to start and stop instantly without the hassle of restarting an engine. I noticed that when I pushed the speed past 3, the mower started to bounce around quite a bit, but with some practice, I managed to keep my lines straight. One minor issue is that grass occasionally comes out the back, but it doesn’t seem to affect performance.
**Conclusion:**
Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase. I’ll be even happier if I can sell my old string trimmer for a good price!
I’ll make this short and sweet. I’m well into the M18 platform so price doesn’t mean a thing for me It’s everything we’ve been waiting for. I’ll sum it up with this. Was showing my wife the mower. Cutting some very high grass and she goes “wow…that’s uh..really good” didn’t want to give me the satisfaction ya know. Perfect
I use this to mow the lawn once or twice a week. It has performed perfectly every time and the H.O. 12ah batteries have never worn all the way down. Very simple to use and store. The only time it shows ant type of struggle is when the blade is dull. No more pull starts, crappy gas cans, oil changes, spark plugs, etc...
So far this is an awesome tool. Excellent mower. Battery life is great and the tub is steel so a little heavy but it has a very torquey adjustable drive that has no problems at all. No fuel, no maintenance, always starts and ready to go.
Aside from price and weight there is nothing negative to say. Love this mower.
i have not had the chance to mow with it yet, probably next week the grass will be ready for the first mow of the season. the mower feels very well built, heavy duty. not sure why it costs so much, the competition sells their mower kits for less than Milwaukee's bare tool! i will update the review after a couple mows.
J:’ai acheter cette tondeuse il y a 4 semaines, elle est fantastique mais il y a un problème que Milwaukee devra règler, la lame de coupe est fait d’un métal qui n’est pas asséné dur et après seulement 3 tonte elle ne coupe déjà plus. Il lui faudrait une lame de meilleur qualitée, sourtout au prix de cette tondeuse.
Non, Je ne recommande pas ce produit.

Big Expectations - Big Letdown

Not what I was expecting at all. Great concept and design in my option. However, the cut quality leaves a lot to be desired. Tons of stragglers even when I go over the same swath 2-3 times. Plus have had both blades available professionally sharpened and balanced. Had much, much higher expectations for this mower.

So far, the mower is fantastic! Works better than expected, which is not unusual for me with Milwaukee. I barely used one bar of battery on my slightly hilly 1/4 acre yard. Those Forge 12.0 batteries are very impressive. If he mower fails in any way, I’ll update my review.
The mower came packaged for quick and easy set up out of the box, and the unit's controls are simple and well placed. Adjustable walking speed makes use very easy and the cut is excellent (NE - S. Ontario grass types). The standard blade handles Bagging well and it mulches better than any other mower I've had.
Exceeded my expectations considerably. My yard has some steep slope conditions and I was concerned that this would reduce run time. The steep inclines were no problem. The ease to adjust blade height is an awesome feature as well. I am extremely pleased with the power, performance and how well it cut my grass!
The BEST electric mower at this time. I used premium Honda HRX mowers for years and was accustomed to the excellent power and cut quality. I replaced my Honda HRX about 18 months ago with the previous top-dog electric mower. I was very disappointed with the cut quality in thick grass, poor run time (two 7.5 ah batteries to cut under 1/2 acre of lawn), lag time to reach full self-propel speed, and the fact that the top self-propel speed was too slow for me so I had to push anyway.
In comparison, my M18 FUEL 21" mower cuts at least a 1/2" lower at the lowest setting for a much cleaner cut. It has more torque and resists stalling out in thicker grass. It still has poor run time, a pair of 12 AH batteries and a pair of 6AH batteries to finish the less-than-1/2 acre-yard. However, the instant start of the motor, instant full speed of the self-propel, and max speed of the self-propel is a million times better and makes for an actual time-efficient machine that can get a job done.
I have really enjoyed using this mower. I have found the power very similar to my old 190 cc craftsman mower, but so much more convenient. Had some difficulty with damp grass, but that is expected. I have about a 1/4 acre property and the batteries finish the lawn with one bar left on the batteries. Very happy
I have the full line of Milwaukee tools so getting the mower for the two 12.0 batteries seemed like a decent deal. The mower mows fine but the battery life is horrendous. I have a small yard and if I mow down to the number 2 height I need 3 charges. I am hoping they make a 8.0 or 12.0 forge to help with this.

Great mower but....

I recently purchased this mower. Love it.
However, mulching leaves a bit to be desired.
Then I find out that there is a better Milwaukee blade made for this mower. It doesn't come included though, you only get the standard blade
You would think that a 1300 dollar lawnmower would come with the good blade !
