Switch Flaws - Hopefully a minor thing.
il y a 2 ans
I bought this for being "Greener" and it seems to work well, however, the unit lasted for about 5 minutes before it had electrical connection issues. The mower is at the service center now for a week. Ultimately, the blade stopped with every small bump and the self propelled portion stopped working. Assuming Milwaukee will fix it - seems like a good unit and more powerful than the Ego unit I have used previously.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave an honest review. Please keep our team in the loop as you get your mower back from our service team! If you need any further assistance or have questions, please email us at social.media@milwaukeetool.com. Thank you! -Social Team

Best electric push mower on the market
il y a un an
This is a great electric mower, lots of power and easy to use. I especially like the easy of pulling the mower backwards. I had a EGO iQ and it keep trying to engaging the self propel drive forward motion, which became a huge annoyance. I also didn’t like the locking mechanism for the handle bars. The one I had kept slipping which led to the mower shutting down. I highly recommend this engineering masterpiece.
This is the best cordless lawn mower I could find! Self propel works amazing well. Run time is great too! Sometimes when I stop and turn, I’ll press the self propel lever and nothing happens. Then, I’ll release it and press again and unit is back good to go so im not sure if that’s an issue anyone else is having. Either way, I’m very happy with the mower and recommend putting the high lift blade on it as well.
This lawnmower is easy to use, with great torque for cutting through heavy grass. The one lever height adjustment is nice also. The only thing I wish was better is the lift to be able to pick up more of debris like small twigs and seeds from trees.(this was in high lift mode). I will try the high lift replacement blade when I can find one and see if that increases the debris pick up. Overall a good lawnmower.
For the most part I am very pleased with my mower and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a well made powerful mower. My only complaint is that if you always mulch like I do the mulching plug is worthless. About as much grass blows out the back of the mower as probably stays inside. Milwaukee needs to come up with a fix for this. I would have given five stars if it wasn’t for the this flaw.
Love my push button lawn mower! We live in Florida where mowing the lawn in the summer happens twice a week! I am 78 years young and can easily fold it up and store and unfold to set the handle at the medium height. After mowing I fold up to clean the blade and under carriage.
Takes 2 M18 batteries which I keep charged. The front and backyard ( 5400 sq ft) easily mowed with one charge on the batteries.
I had been using a well known mower for many years on my average size residential lot. Overall I was happy with it but wanted to see if a cordless mower could do as well. The Milwaukee mower meets all my expectations. So far I have only bagged the grass but I intend to try mulching next time.
The batteries charge quickly with the dual M18 charger and have a lot of capacity. I still have 3 bars showing. Control of the drive motors is good when mowing around trees and stuff.
I was surprised that the noise level was not much less than the gas mower. I use the higher speed to get good lift of the grass. The normal speed is quieter.
My only negative remark concerns the paint on the deck. It was scratch out of the box and I am sure the mower had not been used. The paint seems delicate and not a more durable powder coat like I would expect for the price of the mower.
Lightweight but gets the job done. I have an average 1/4 acre of thick Kentucky Blue and it is a joy to mow with this. No fumes, very quiet, super light vibration in the handle, no gas station visits, no oil, easy one-handle height adjustment, great battery gauge, and compact storage. Also cleans off easy with the leaf blower. Some drawbacks, batteries are not cheap. At a 4” cut, taking about a inch off, I can do the yard in one set of batteries. I dropped it to 3, taking 2” off and it took the first set of batteries from full to blinking, and the second set from full to one solid light. The mulching plug doesn’t seem to seal/fit well. Not a huge issue, but it traps a bunch of grass that needs to be cleaned out. The powered speed adjustment roller is….awkward. It has no stops, so dialing in the speed you want to move at can be tricky. Over all, I love this mower…..I hope it lasts 🤞
Far exceeded expectations even for Milwaukee. I was hesitant to make the investment because I wasnt sure if it would hold a charge long enough to mow my whole yard. I currently mow about 1/3 acre and I was amazed my first time using it to see that I had only used 1/4 of the power. This mower is built to the highest quality that you would expect from Milwaukee. It’s a job well done for them in my book.
Shuts off within a few seconds of starting. Reading the reviews and looking online at some YouTube videos I see this is a problem experienced by a significant number of owners. So by now I have to believe the engineers at Milwaukee know what the root cause and corrective action is.
I am a 100% Milwaukee battery tool guy and this is by far the most expensive Milwaukee product I own. Very disappointed.

Mower

First mower was replaced as it cut out 25-30 times while mowing. Called and new replacement mower sent which ran fine the first and only time used to date. There is a build up of mulched grass that I dump out at the end of mowing. Tech says that is normal and it can maybe be solved by using a mulching blade….hmm no one on reviews or videos mentioned that a different blade is needed for mulching?
I was a little hesitant about buying a battery powered mower. I love Milwaukee and have many of their tools so there was no doubt that I was not gonna buy a different brand. I think it just making cutting the grass easier and quicker. It has a tendency to wanna do wheelies when getting it going, but I may not be used to yet. I’m sure I figure that out. Overall I’m very satisfied with buying it.
Great Lawnmower, mulching plug needs better design
il y a 2 ans
First battery lawnmower, powerful, cuts well. I use it for my home and I operate it in high lift mode because I don’t bag, I mulch. That leads to the problem. The mulch plug does not snugly fit in. When you run the mower in mulch mode, grass spouts out the rear until there is grass residue build up, then the mower mulches fine. If the mulching plug works the way it should, it would be a 5/5
I’ve been waiting for this mower for a while now.. I am very impressed. I love on almost a half acre and handles great. 1 charge will handle my property with 1 bar left of charge. To be far I go a little over 1/3 over tire lines. I love the rpm adjustment that the mower automatically makes depending on need. Lever for adjusting height is awesome. I have never had such an easy 1 lever lift/drop of all four wheels. Very sturdy build. The lights was a great addition. With having two very young kids it allows me to cut the grass after 730pm. The decibels are also low enough while cutting at night I have no concerns about waking the kids even while making passes by their windows. Batteries work with all my tools which is always a bonus. Only negative I have is the price point. I do wish the price was a little more competitive with competition. Even with that said I do not regret a single dollar spent.
Great mower! There are a lot of things to love about this mower. And some things to not to love. I will list my Pros and Cons.
Pros
No more gas cans!
Single handle height adjustment
Mower automatically speeds up under load
LED lights
Dual battery charger included
Good bagging system
Self propelled speed is adjustable
Does not seem to bog down or jam the blade like my gas mower did.
Batteries and charger work with all my other tools!!
Cons
Cannot hose it off
Battery compartment gets lots of dust in it
Lever for height control sticks out to far and hangs on bushes
When the blade is running on low speed the bag only fills half way before clogging up
The batteries do not last long enough for me to mow the whole lawn on a single charge, could have been my fault as I had not mowed in 6 weeks.
Love not having to get gas to mow the lawn anymore!!!
Overall a great purchase. Would do it again.
Most of us have lots of M18 batteries and chargers sitting around and, don't need anymore. Most of us have plenty of Milwaukee Tools and kits, I mean we are Milwaukee Tool fans. Sad you haven't released your Lawn mower as a tool only platform, greed can be the only explanation for this. Come on Milwaukee, for most of us, the last thing we need is more overpriced batteries and chargers.
This mower is awesome, the self-lifting blade is a nice feature, and the battery life is phenomenal. Love how quiet and light weight it is also. It is nice being able to use the 12.0 batteries that come with it on my Milwaukee blower and weed eater as well, since they still have plenty of charge after I finish mowing. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone.
I went to an electric mower because in Ca. you can no longer buy a new gas mower. I purchased a Milwaukee mower because I currently have 25 Milwaukee tools for my business, and am brand loyal. So far I really love the mower, after 2 uses. The only thing that I can say that may be a negative, is the grass collection bag seems a little thin, and may not last a long time. Great mower.
Not a big fan of pressing down so hard with my thumbs to engage self propel. Begins to hurt after a bit. Battery life has been great. Light mower and easy to operate. Love that the speed settings allow you to nearly jog if you’d like and it still cuts the grass very nicely! Runs very quietly compared to other mowers. Only mowed twice but overall have been very impressed.
Huge upgrade over my gas mower, like how easy it is to start and go.
I cut grass for a townhouse complex, it takes an hour and I can just get by on 2 8ah batteries. I’m confident I will get years out of this thing.
After 4 cuts, I’m glad I bought it. The self propel paddle seems awkward at first, but feels comfortable now and I have no issues with the form & function.
I'm a residential guy, so this machine more than exceeds my needs. One of our sons adopted my Honda gas mower and I was in search of a cordless replacement. After extensive research, I settled upon the two brands that are made in the USA. After reading reviews and watching videos, I settled upon the Milwaukee. It mulches perfectly, it bags perfectly, it functions as advertised. I delayed this review as I waited until dusk to try out the bagging and headlight functions and was not disappointed! I recommend this mower to anyone who is considering cordless, be it commercial or residential. Yes, the initial price may be prohibitive, but after watching numerous comparison videos, the choice was obvious. I'm currently running 60/40 Ridgid/ Milwaukee and neither have disappointed me with their performance. Ridgid doesn't offer their mower in North America and I'm okay with that as I'm very happy withmyMilwaukee mower!
We had another brand of battery operated mower before this, that just didn't cut it (literally!!!). It would continuously stall due to long grass. The Milwaukee 23-22d on the other hand, goes through long wet grass like a champ. It has not stalled at all! Can get my whole yard mowed on 1 charge. Wish this was available sooner, so I didn't bother with the other brand.
This is my second battery operated mower. The first was another brand that a) didn’t have enough torque to actually cut my lawn and b) was so light that it was difficult to cut a straight line. The Milwaukee mower feels like a real lawn mower. It cuts like a real lawn mower. I am so pleased with the results after I use it. Great purchase. I definitely recommend it.
I’m really liking this lawnmower. I have only used gas powered mowers in the past. The batteries last much longer than I had expected even on high speed using the self drive function. I love that it can store folded and standing upright.
I have only had it for 3 weeks, cut my residential lawn and my neighbors 3 times and loving it more each time that I use it.

I converted from a gas mower to this and I love it. Where my old mower used to bog down in taller grass, this mower simply increases its RPM's. I also thought, why would I need headlights on my push mower, until I was mowing one evening after dark to beat the 3 days of rain in the forecast. The bagger works great too and fills all the way up without clogging.
Third Year In with this mower and Getting Worse With Each Year. Year one was great. Wrote an outstanding review. Year two began to notice some issues. Year three…have determined this is a piece of crap! Falling apart, better life is poor at 30 minutes of run time on a full charge, and parts falling off. Definitely not worth the price nor Milwaukee name!
Awesome Mower! Zero issues, such as described in some lower ratings. First battery powered lawn mower. Worth every penny - run time on it is excellent (3 mows to bring the batteries to 1-bar) - BUT! Why didn’t this expensive unit not come with both high lift & regular blades? I can’t even find the high lift blade available in Quebec, Canada… my only gripe
So far it’s been impressive. I’ve only mowed twice and the performance is as good as my previous gas mower. It looks as though I get about 40 minutes run time on the batteries with average cut length ( some areas are shaded and others direct sun). Very happy so far, only complaint is that this mower is significantly more expensive than it’s competitors.
Love everything about this mower. I cut grass for 45 min and using self propelled on and off just to try it and at the end the grass was cut great and still had full charge. Everything is incredible except one major thing. The rear mount discharge it a left angled discharge which in all the lawn mowers I have ever seen and grown up with all discharge on the right side of the mower. So for 45 years you get used to the discharge being on the right side, you get into habits of having cutting patterns that throws the clippings on the right but not only do you have to change the way you cut the grass, I’ve also notice when your cutting around something and you start backing up with mower, because it’s a rear left discharge, you keep discharging on your leg or feet when your pulling back or backing up with mower. I would say the only defect with this mower is it should be a right side discharge just like all the other mowers in the world.
