Overall good product, minor improvements needed
il y a 8 mois
The product is generally good, with a satisfactory battery run time. However, there are two main issues that I have noticed:
1. Cut quality - it would be beneficial if this mower was equipped with a high-lift lawn mower blade by default for the price. Additionally, the front weight distribution feels slightly light which causes the machine to lift during acceleration at normal speed. Apart from these concerns, I find it enjoyable to use and it performs well.
I had another brand of cordless mower prior to this one and the difference has been staggering thus far. This is more of a professional grade mower than my prior one. Additionally, with the included 12 ah batteries I am able to mow and leaf blow my yard TWICE before having to recharge whereas with my old mower I went thru two full batteries each time. The self propelled feature is a plus and easy to use as are all of the controls including the height adjust.
The Milwaukee 21” mower is the industry leader in cordless self-propelled lawn mowers. I did a lot of research before buying one and spoke with friends who owned one and all the feedback was super positive. I love the way it handles around trees and bushes and always leaves behind a crisp clean cut on my lawn every time. I definitely recommend the Milwaukee Lawn Mower to anyone who want a reliable lawn machine that produces a beautifully cut lawn every time.
Wow, so my old petrol mower died due to lack of maintenance (which was my fault for not checking the oil). So, it was time for and upgrade and a newer mower. Well, I was already thousands and thousands of dollars invested in the Milwaukee M18 and M12 eco system, so why not go with the Milwaukee Mower Kit! Man oh man was I happily surprised by the power and cut quality of the unit. My lawn isn't really high or any great thing for that matter, but, the mower unit cut a little over 1/2 an acre with two bars of battery life still remaining. Oh boy is this thing great. With that being said, there is one draw back. I really wish Milwaukee would've designed the battery cover better. After mowing the lawn, there's always a bit a dirt and grass clippings in the battery compartment. Note to Milwaukee, better battery cover on the Gen 2...
Pros: No hot exhaust in your face like a gas engine, lighter/quitter than my previous gas mower, single point deck adjustment and no trips to the gas station required. Cons: The cut quality is not as good as my previous dual blade gas mower; the single blade leaves stragglers and high lift mode uses a lot of battery. I really see no difference using high lift mode other than battery life. Cut quality could likely be improved with a dual blade option.

Good value, would recommend, one small improvement
il y a un an
So far, so good. It mows my 1/2 acre on a single charge just fine.
It leaves the occasion straggler in the thicker areas of lawn but is mostly pretty great.
The one thing I would work on is drive control improvement. The "go" paddle doesn't feather the best so it feels more digital - on or off. And when it's on, it goes now. Like right now! Not bad, but does take some getting used to.
Overall, I would recommend and feel it has good value for the money.
IT WAS HEAVIER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE.WITH THE BAGGER ON IT IT CUT PRETTY GOOD,BUT THE GRASS WAS NOT THAT HIGH. I MOWED A FREINDS YARD THAT THE GRASS WAS ABOUT 6 OR 7 INCHES TALL AND I HAD TO MOW OVER IT AGAIN,IT LEFT SOME UNCUT BLADES,NO ALOT BUT ENOUGH.I DIDN'T USE THE BAGGER ON IT I USED THE MULCHING PLUG,I THOUGHT IT DIDN'T DO THAT GREAT OF A JOB.KINDA DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE OF THE MONEY IT COST.MY 20 YEAR OLD CRAFTSMAN MOWER CUT JUST AS GOOD.

Best Mower *PERIOD* No Comparison.
il y a 2 ans
Best push mower I’ve ever had or seen. I got the first one in Edmonton and they hadn’t even unboxed it from the truck when I had it reserved for pickup. Easily last 45-60min using the self-propel functionality (top speed is WAY to fast to be mowing as I can barely keep up) and 1.5-2hrs without it. Using the rapid charger, it takes about an hour to fully charge. I’ve had no problems hitting 1-1.4acres per mow and have yet to clog this up. I mainly use rear discharge, so that could be part of the reason for it, but my 190cc gas mower can’t hold a candle to this power and uniformity. I’ve recommended this to everyone in my family and friends that might be needing an upgrade…because this is 100% worth every dollar in my opinion. I used to have a lawn care business and used the Honda Commercial for years, so I’ve had a pretty good sampling.
I mow weekly thru summer months; Battery life is about what is advertised - around 1 hr. I cannot cut entire lawn without recharge; I have the supposed self-propelled mower - this does NOT work consistently; this can fail in dry, short grass. Self propelled feature simply stalls. Operating level can be fully depressed, mower simply stalls. You must push to get it going again. I would NOT buy this mower, and recommend others stay away from it.

Honest review
il y a un an
Very nice mower. Cuts, battery lasts better than anticipated. Feels like a mower not a plastic toy. If I’m going to be nit picky I wish the drive lever had a bit more throw so the speed wouldn’t be so fidgety BUT I’m sure that I can easily adapted to. Stores great vertically. Now I want Milwaukee to come out with a Tool Only snowblower so I can pitch the last of my gas outside tools. (Already running the quick-lok for trimming needs and blower)
Bought this Mower because Milwaukee makes the BEST power tools. People joke because they think I own every Milwaukee tool Possible. Great dry cut mower, but now that it is fall the mower lacks the lift to cut wet grass and plugs up the deck. This results in making a terrible mess on dry surfaces. Previous Honda & John Deere mowers put it to shame. I highly recommend this mowers in dry climates but avoid it in the Pacific Northwest.
The good - the power and the runtime.
The Bad - the safety shutoff switch is flakey (at best). As with any lawnmower you need to hold the safety shutoff bar reasonably snug to the handle to first start the blade cutting and to keep it cutting. With the safety shutoff bar consistently held, the mower cut out dozens of times just cutting my "city sized" backyard. Doing a post mortem search online it turns out this is a common problem.

Milwaukee quality
il y a 9 mois
This is an expensive mower for an average home owner. We bought it because we wanted a cordless, self propelled mower for our large urban yard. It's very easy to use, and adjust and has great features. It's easy on my body and easy for my family to use. It's a bonus that I can use the huge 12 amp hour batteries on my Milwaukee power tools. If you have a large area to mow and want a very high quality tool, this is the unit to purchase.
I am very impressed. I have mulched wet grass. Side-discharged tall grass. Even mowed in the near dark. The ability to self-propel without turning the blade on is excellent for traversing over rocks and areas that would damage the cutting edges. Easy to adjust the height or fold up for storage and transport. The price is something I'm already over. I've used the included batteries to run other lawn and garden tools. Very satisfied.
Lighter than expected. Works great. Usually only down about 1/4 bars by the time I finish my 1/4 acre property.
Comes with a pretty generic mower blade. Seems to work fine but I still pulled it off and sharpened it.
It’s a great choice if you’re already in the m18 ecosystem. Otherwise i think you’d get more bang for your buck out of a Honda mower.
Time will tell if the batteries last long enough to make it a truly great buy.
I love this product, It has been really usefull whenever I wanted to cut my lawn and the battery lasts for a while. However, I was mowing the other day ( as usual) and the blade when straight into the ground, hopefully it didnt got me. I reviewed the parts and the plastic shear plate (28-20-0102 Shear Plate) got damaged and the blade cannot be screwed tight. I cannot find this part anywhere and I wouldnt risk using it without it.

M18 Self Propelled Mower
il y a 2 ans
Nice mower. Self propelled feature makes up for the fact it is a bit on the heavy side. Seems to be well built. Height adjustment is easy to use. Rear outlet chute allows mower to get close to edges/obstacles on either side. Mower does not clog easily. Push button “High Lift” feature (which boosts motor/blade speed) very useful when grass is long and/or wet. Would be nice if adjustable handle went 1 step higher/more upright.
I waited two months to buy a lawnmower for this thing to come out. I really wanted to love this thing, but it has been a total letdown. The battery life is pathetic and it stalls in tall grass. I have struggled with this over several weekends to get through my lawn and it still won't last long enough for me to finish my backyard in one charge. Love almost all of my other M18 tools, but I'm just about to try to return this one

Solid unit poor battery life
il y a 2 ans
Very well built mower, it is heavy for a cordless mower but worth the weight in the build quality. Battery life leaves a lot to be desired at almost double the price of most other cordless units and half the time on a charge. I was severely disappointed for the first time in a Milwaukee cordless purchase. I have close to 100 Milwaukee cordless tools and this is the only one I have returned because it didn’t meet expectations
Thank you for your honest feedback on the M18 FUEL™ 21" Self-Propelled Dual Battery Mower Kit! We will make sure we pass this information along to our product management team. Please email us at socialmedia@milwaukeetool.com if you have additional feedback.

Nice power to cut thru my Zeon Zoysia lawn at 1"
il y a 2 ans
My old Ego was stumbling at 1 1/2" but this one has the power to cut it. Battery power is pretty good, but I run it on high most of the time because of how thick my grass is. Drive system is pretty natural and easy to use. Bag is packed well with cuttings. No complaints except for the bag which has a seam coming apart after two uses. Faulty sewing on the seam. Hopefully I can get it replaced. Very happy I made the purchase.
This thing is a BEAST. I upgraded from Kobalt 40V MAX Mower and let me just make one thing clear:
Never again will I buy anything other than Milwaukee.Their batteries are amazing! The mower itself is quiet AND powerful. The batteries will last about an hour nonstop. They recharge in less time than that! I'm very impressed. Haven't had to use the built in LED deck lighting but I am excited for late evening yard work now!
I love this mower! But when I unboxed it I heard a rattling in the front under the axle cover. I found that the axle was fastened completely. Quickly fixed and I was out mowing. I love how quiet it is compared to my old gas Honda. This mower will not pick the grass up like my old old though and that really sucks. Almost a deal breaker for me. I love mowing again though. No trips to the gas station but no excuses too. Ha!
Residential mowing. I’ve tried several battery powered mowers. This is the best. Mows my yard and my neighbors yard (.8 acre) with power to spare. The frame is heavier than other mowers, but this yields an even cut. Self propelled, changes speed on the fly, single lever height adjustment. You can use hand to hold paddle instead of thumbs. Great for elder folks with arthritic hands. Owned one year. Bought one for my son.
This lawnmower is everything that I expected it to be. It is a little pricey, but that is because of the batteries that come with it. If you are already invested in the 18v platform and can use the batteries for other tools, this purchase is a no-brainer. I already had a battery lawnmower from another brand, but quickly got rid of it and purchased the Milwaukee. The Milwaukee outperforms the other brand in every way.
Battery life is great, I have a decent yard probably at least 5000 square feet of grass and a lot of extra time maneuvering around trees, batteries deplete to 50% for the full cut, then I transfer one to my blower and spend 15 minutes cleaning up. The self propel helps with achieving straighter lines, my old push mower would be prone to wavy lines. It was expensive, I hope I get at least 10 years out of this investment!
Great mower, lots of power. Controls take a little to get used to. Love the option between bagging, mulching and side discharge. I also like that the side discharge is on the back, which allows me to get in closer to trees and a play structure in my yard, cutting down on trimming time. Battery life has also been great for my need (30 minutes mowing, 3/4 battery left each time). So far the best push mower I’ve ever used!
Mower works better than I ever expected over my Honda HRX217. My 1 and only gripe is on more of the design. The Speed Wheel. If you are wearing gloves while out working, it's nearly impossible to roll the speed barrel setting. I would like to see this improved to a twist dial or a textured barrel. Again, Super cool mower and does what its supposed to. I do wish they came with the high lift blade or dual blade as stock.
Absolutely love my battery operated mower. Light weight, mows very evenly and sharp. Its easy to clean and folds away for easy storage. It was a little on the expensive side, but so far I think it is worth the cost. Makes my old gas mower seem like a relic. Really glad I bought it. Have other Milwalkee tools so.in event the batteries in the mower run.out before finished, can us smaller vatteries to finish uo.
Love this Mower. So far it has been amazing. cuts clean, deep, doesn't leave stragglers. bags super well and fills the bag all the way thru. Lots of power and run time. Doesn't Clog or struggle to get thru the deep stuff, the self propelled really helps with the hills. The only thing I would change is the black flap I wish when you lifted it it would stay up until; you pull the bar down then it would close back up.
I'm on my second mower, first one the drive stopped working. This one worked fine probably half dozen runs, but now the batteries don't last 30 mins, and constantly overheating. Take a looong time to charge. I can't even consider new batteries because of the massive price tag on each one. I have a large collection of Milwaukee tools and they all work well but this is a fail. Will probably sell in the near future.
