Exceeds all expectations
il y a 9 mois
The mower meets all of my expectations (and more). Easy to assemble; easy to use. I am particularly impressed with the battery life, which allows two full mowings of my 2/3rd acre property without recharging. The mower rolls quite well, such that I RARELY (if ever) use the "self propel" mode (although the self-propel mechanism operates as presented and affirmed); I ALWAYS engage the "high-speed" blade mode - accoringly, the lawn appears "professionally cut" and uniform throughout. I certainly appreciate the battery condition lights that are visible at all times, allowing me to know if/when I might need to charge the batteries. Overall, I give this mower a top rating.
Love the Mower! cuts the thickest grass with ease and mulches beautifully! My 11yo Son enjoys using it so much he asks to cut the lawn.
The mower is built like a tank and would survive commercial use with ease. The Hight is easy to adjust with one lever. The self propel is a touch fast for an older person but works so nice its a joy to use. The deck has built in lights if you find yourself mowing in the dark. There is no reason to own a gas mower now because this mower is definitely better than most gas mowers I have used. can't wait for the rider mower to be released, I hope it uses the MX Fuel batteries.
Just purchased the mower several weeks ago and mowed my lawn twice with no issue. This morning the mower cut off intermittently while mowing my lawn. I've been trying to mow it going on three hours now. I've recharged the batteries, used different batteries all to no avail. I even tried googling to troubleshoot what could be the issue. I had high hopes this would work out since I wanted to mow the lawn on my own. There are others that have experienced the same issue. Is there a work around or do I need to send this back to Home Depot? We spent a lot of money for a mower that isn't working properly.

Great purchase. Does the job!
il y a 2 ans
I've use this mower now 3 times. I have a bit over 1/3 acre with big hill in the front yard and a good slope on the side. I used self-propel cutting the whole yard. When done, I still have 2 battery power lights still on. Easy to push and operate. The single lever height adjustment works great. The only down side which is not much, is with the mulch pmug installed you get cut grass buildup around the plug and on the back flap on the bottom. No big deal if you remember to clean it out before putting the mower away or you will get grass in the garage where you store it.
It is quite a bit more money than others but I wanted to make sure I had enough power to cut my hilly yard. I do!
This mower has met all of my expectations and more! i ordered it at the end of march and every cut this year has been with this mower. we have had an extremely wet spring in Chicagoland so grass has been thick, long and sometimes wet. this mower has powered through all of it. i have a medium to larger size (urban) yard and i am able to mow the front and back without recharging the batteries. This thing is super solidly built and the ergonomics/controls when making turns are great. I am really impressed with this machine and i would not hesitate to recommend it to any home owner with a normal sized yard.
Well I was super excited to get it but am not happy with a few things
The cut sucks my lawn has yellow tips every time I cut I've sharpened the blade so many times that I've given up the cut isn't even I need to go over the grass twice to get a good cut the front of the lawn more goes up when I'm in level 3 so had to go down to level 2 to keep the lawn more from leap frogging
Not to sure if the lawnmore can be left outside or not garage space is limited
Mulch items came with lawn more but didn't come with mulch blade had to order separate
On the fence about buying it was super happy about it at first but then all my buddys bought a ryobi and I'm kind of regretting my purchase

Smooth as Silk!!!

First of all this machine is well built with a quality look and feel, it was also real easy to assemble out of the box. It cuts the grass on our property and the empty lot next to our house on a full charge. The fact that this mower is self propelled makes it even sweeter because my wife runs this mower with no issues and she loves the fact of not pulling any cords. The bag attachment comes on and off real easy and I've actually enjoyed having the headlights when close to dusk time. It was a decision between the Milwaukee or the E-Go but I decided to go with the Milwaukee and I'm glad that I did.
While pricier than most of the competition, the differences are significant and help make it more functional and ultimately a good value. For example, the side discharge does not require that un-mowed "extra" +/- 8 inches next to a fence or border - instead you go right up to it! The ability to easily push (unpowered) without resistance is another difference many competitors don't have! The high-lift mulching is great for having the clippings small enough to easily return to nourish the soil. Lastly, and most importantly, the power is terrific and more that the competition, even in high grass.
I bought this mower about 5 months ago and did lots of research and reviews before considering swapping all my stuff to Milwaukee. Started off great and took my hills and thick grass very well. Charge times and performance were as advertised, but after mowing today and behind dry for 2-3 days, my grass had gotten about 3-4 inches tall and mower started bogging really bad. The self propelled wheels wouldn’t push the mower very far and after all the bogging and self propelled drive not working properly, it killed thr batteries really fast. I’m considering going back to a gas mower after today

Great mower, wish it had one more feature
il y a un an
I like it. Glad it works with all the M-18 tools I already have. Was very easy to assemble. Power is good (first time I cut grass with a battery machine, and I was surprised at how well it does), and ability to get in close to things is very good.
I use it for trimming the yard before I get out my zero turn. One feature that I wish it had was the ability to run the drive wheels without running the blade. I frequently walk from one area to trim to another, and when done I have to walk up a hill. I wish I could power the wheels, without wasting battery on the blade at these times.
I first ordered this mower and found that I could not mow more than one pass without the blade safety kicking in and shutting it off. After looking at other reviews I found a lot with the same issue, Milwaukee sent out a replacement mower that works great now. I was concerned about the battery time for my yard it takes me 45min to mow my lawn so was more worried for years from now as batteries fade. I am less concerned now, I have half a charge left after mowing. The mower rolls better than any mower I’ve used, and it is really ridged and well built. I am pleased with my purchase now.
I originally bought the high level makita mower (half the price of Milwaukee) for my 1/3 acre and it blew through 4 batteries with half the yard still to go. I took it back and got the Milwaukee, and I definitely made the right choice. For reference I try to move every 10 days, I have a thick bermuda lawn, and 1/3 of an acre. This thing still has juice at the end of mowing. I have only used it 4x, so far so I am hopeful the batteries will hold charge for a few years. Definitely on the expensive side for a mower, but the power that this brings and the low level of noise are great.
I am an all in Milwaukee guy at home and work! I debated between the Ego mower and the Milwaukee, but like I said I'm all in on Milwaukee. To be fair I've only used it a couple of times, so.
The things I don't like - are how far out the single height adjustment handle sticks out, the torque/power comes on fast and it "wheelies" (maybe just the operator) and the mulch plug is not that great.
The things I like - super quiet, great drive system (variable speeds) and tires, love the 12.0 batteries and life, ease of operating (height adjustment, loading batteries, power up, storage), also the handlebar adjustment for operating and storage is fantastic, and can't wait for fall to check out the headlights!
Given the cost of this mower and having used a Honda for 12 years I was skeptical about making the switch. I needed a mower that could run for 50-60 minutes on a single charge while providing a clean cut both mulching and bagging. Out of the box the assembly was easy and with fully charged batteries this mower performed! I used the high lift option with the push of a button for a nice mulch cut and 55 minutes later the cut was great and the mower still had battery life. 5 cuts later and this mower is out performing my old Honda 200 cc mower. I’ve used Milwaukee tools for years and really like the fact I can swap the M18 batteries with any of the M18 tools. Looking forward to adding the weed eater and chainsaw.

Well Built Mower
il y a 20 jours
Awesome mower. Very well designed. Will last for many years. Watched a lot of U-tube videos on this mower before I bought it. Was really impressed by the videos comparing to other brands. Milwaukee knocked this out of the park. I’ve been a Milwaukee fan for 10 years now and knew they made a good Quality product. Had it for 3 days now and used it one time so far. Can’t wait to use it more. Everything on it is built to perfection. It came with the 12 ah Forge batteries and rapid charger. I already had the super charger and the Forge batteries charged really fact. The charger fans blowing thru the vents on the batteries while charging should make the batteries charge faster and keep them cooler and have longer life.
This is one solid lawnmower. I have a 1/3 acre lot. It uses about 1/2 battery to bag the lawn and less to mulch. The height adjustment for the handle goes much higher than a normal mower to allow for taller people. This mower is so much quieter than my old gas mower, which means I don’t have to have to turn my earbuds up as high, which is much better on the ears. The mower is easy to operate and I love not dealing with gas and oil anymore. This mower was worth the investment. I also appreciate it is on the same battery platform as all my tools, string trimmer, and edger.
We use this for our church grounds. In many ways it is a great mower, powerful, easy to use, all the benefits of battery over gas, however, our biggest recommendation would be to add the capacity for 2 more batteries...it simply doesn't last long enough. It is built more to commercial specs but doesn't have commercial run time. We would love to see this in a future model and would definitely consider purchasing more if we could more in the realistic 90 minute run time instead of the 45-50 minutes that we currently get. One note, we do have one volunteer who uses this mower without the drive system....he likes to get more of a workout when he mows....the run time he gets doing this is almost double the normal time.

Very good mower.
il y a un an
I have been using a commercial Honda for 20 plus years and the last few years I have been trying to upgrade to a new mower that can mulch. I have tried 2 toros a cub cadet and looked at many others but I kept going back to the Honda. I purchased this Milwaukee mower and was worried so I ask many times about a return guarantee but there is no going back as this machine is fantastic. I am mulching tall grass that I always wouldn’t mulch because it would not chop up enough and this mower is great at that. I am so happy with this mower that I am mowing 2 or 3 times a week.
I will preface this review by stating I have only cut my .62 acre property three times with this mower. However, in this short period of time, I can truly state that this mower is amazing! Commercial grade indeed.
Run time for all three weeks was over 70mins. Cut quality is great (all mulching) and it charges both batteries in 1 hr. 45 mins. Could not be more pleased.
(RantOn) I read a couple reviews where people stated it shut off in 30-90 secs but nothing of the sort here. I may suggest for those who do experience a problem, to engage customer support to see if they handle to your satisfaction before giving a 1 star review. (RantOff)
While it is a premium price, in my estimation it was worth every penny!
Awesome mower. Definitely read the instructions and have patience getting started. Usually it takes a tank or just over a tank of gas to do my lawn with my old gas push mower. First time I used this it was half the yard on a charge but that was because the grass was twice as high as usual for mowing. Second time a week later with the new mower and I was able to do my lawn and part of the neighbors lawn before the lawn mower needed to be charged for an hour and a half. Grass doesn't grow that much in an hour and a half so I'm fine letting it charge to do more later or I can buy more batteries if I really wanted to get it done. Overall it works way better than expected and the return on investment is well worth its value.
Using this electric mower has been so much fun!! I'm confident I can handle an electric mower as i'm horrible with gas engine maintenance. I've used this mower a dozen times and the battery life has been excellent but hasn't always lasted an hour when grass is longer. I have several other batteries that have come in handy finishing up. Super portable and lightweight i fold it up and throw it in my shed after each use. Only minor complaints are i often have to crisscross to get an even cut, even at slower speeds. And the deck height adjustment gets hit from time to time without me realizing. Any quick pass under a bush or brush on the right side knocks it back...Mow it on the left side under stuff i guess solves that.
Finishing up my second season with this mower. I had such high hopes when it was first released and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Unfortunately it hasn’t lived up to the hype in my eyes. While I can say the self propelled function works great and it seems to have plenty power, the amount of grass it misses is absurd. It doesn’t matter how much I overlap my passes, there’s always stragglers and always a Mohawk left somewhere. I contacted Milwaukee support a few times hoping they may have some tips or tricks but I never heard back from them. Save your money,

Worth it
il y a 10 mois
Amazing performance and quality, was originally on the fence due to the price. I had another electric mower I was looking at but as I already have M18 tools I didn’t want another battery platform. The runtime is fantastic, and weighs a lot more than I was expecting. The LEDs are bright and well placed and the rear side discharge allows you to get a closer mow than if the discharge chute was on the side of the mower. A few things I would love to see on future iterations is the quick release handle like on the Ryobi whisper mower as well as a dual blade option.
This mower is a beast of a machine. I have had several other makers of electric mowers and from the first start, none of the others came close to the M18. Even high grass does not impact this mower as I have never heard any type of drain on the motor. Other mower would definitely be impacted with resistance and battery drain with higher grass. I did not need a new mower but decided to compliment my M18 product line with this mower. It is worth every dollar they are asking for as it beats the competition hands down and once you use it, you will understand why.
Great quality mower, doesn't bog down like my gas when hitting a pile of leaves or thick grass. Very little vibration vs my gas which is good for someone like me that has carpal tunnel in both hands, my gas make my hands go numb after a few minutes of cutting, the milwaukee never makes them go numb. The only thing it needs is a better blade, I have lots of leaves and even switching out to the "high lift" blade on high lift mode it only gets about 1/3 of the leaves. With my gas mower and using the Oregon gator blade I get about 90% of all the leaves.
In general a good platform but when competitors come with blade options right out of the box (high lift) and this does not for the premium price… also the throttle (thumb drive) I don’t know who was apart of that test pool but I have yet to meet anyone who likes it including myself. It would be nice to have some type of adjustable bar length as the unit feels long. Blades need to be sharpened out of box. Other than that power is good along with sound, and build quality seems great so far. Would recommend if your already on the battery platform.
There is no way my Honda mower could handle the 12" wet grass I cut at the lowest setting with with the Milwaukee. The best thing about it is the speed and power--the Milwaukee never stalled or bogged down even with wet tall grass. I had the speed turned all the way up so I noticed that I was getting an uneven cut when starting a new line. I realized that if I pushed the throttle too fast (especially as the bag got heavier) the torque was lifting the front resulting in uneven cut. I learned to ease the throttle at first to avoid this. I noticed a HUGE time savings over the Honda because I did not need to slow down with wet or tall grass. Already found a buyer for my Honda (I held onto it because of some of the reviews about uneven cut).
Excellent when it works. Cuts the grass with no problem or hassitation, regardless of the length. Multiple height settings, adjustable with a single leaver, make first cuts of the season easier than ever. Absolutely amazing.... Now, mower has a problem, where it will stop when the starter bar is pulled back too much, as it pushes the starter button out when fully pressed, making it stop. I tried contacting Milwaukee multiple times, with no one returning my calls for assistance. For this price, mower should have no problems whatsoever.

This mower has worked flawlessly since I purchased it, (replacing a 22 year old Toro gas mower) My lawn takes a bit over an hour to mow and starting with both batteries fully charged it still had about 20% battery life left when I finished mowing. It is very light and maneuverable, and the adjustable walking speed is easily adjustable. I mulch my grass, so I have not used the bag yet. So far I'm pretty impressed with this mower. Both my son and myself have purchased quite a few rechargeable Milwaukee hand tools over the past few years and have never been disappointed by their performance. My old Toro was very reliable and always started first pull, so I was reluctant at first to switch to a battery electric mower, but I believe I've made a good choice.
I have a small suburban yard broken up by fences, driveways, sidewalks, and trees. I also mow my neighbor's yard which while larger than mine not to terribly large. This mower accomplishes the task with ease and still two bars remaining. I love that this mower is built so robustly, I mean it is really made well. Better than any other mower I have ever owned or used. No more gas and oil! I like that I can operate the drivetrain without starting the blade, that comes in handy. I have no complaints with this mower and how it operates!
