I’m a painter in home restoration, and this tool has saved me time and the boss money numerous times by not having to go back to the shop and getting an air hose, gun and compressor. Since I stick to painting, I never know if there’s a trim that needs to get pinned back up and Im relied on to leave a house finished (since we do restoration from demo to finish) it’s just awesome having this tool waiting for me in the pack out box. Also I’ve only managed to deplete half of a 1.5 amp battery using it for 6 hours installing base, I mean if that’s not remarkable I don’t know what is!! Awesome job Milwaukee and let’s see some painters tools yeah?!!!
I've only used it to trim out a couple of doors so far, but I have to say I'm very impressed with it. Zero ramp up time and the trigger feel is very comparable to my air nailers. It is heavier, but not so much that it would be uncomfortable for all day use on a project. Set depth is very easy to adjust and zero issues with nails setting in oak trim. My only complaint would be that line of sight could be a little better for really accurate nailing, but with the versatility of included tips it becomes a very minor issue. This nailer is a giant leap from the 1st gen brad nailer and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to make the jump to cordless.
I use this nailer to run shoe molding on jobs and also install some base. This nailer has been fantastic and the months that I have used it. This nailer replaced a Hitachi one that I had that was stolen, and I cannot be happier with the performance of this nailer. The nailer has zero issue sinking nails in maple flooring and shoe molding, along with sinking nails in red oak shoe molding and flooring. So far my only dislike of this nailer is the tip because the protective covers are easy to fall off. Based off of the performance of this nailer I went and bought a second one for another crew member and would not hesitate to buy another one in the future.
This was one the best purchases I have made. My old Brad nailer had finally given up the ghost and I was looking for another air compressed gun. I saw the M18 Brad Nailer and decided to give it a go. I have many other Milwaukee products and have always been impressed so why not I thought. It was a great investment! The gun is perfectly balanced and makes the job easy. The fact I don’t have to deal with an air hose or compressor and am able to go anywhere is a huge plus. The battery life is phenomenal. I worked 6 hours strait putting up a wood ceiling and never had to worry about the battery. It is a great product and very reliable.
I had the first gen 18ga nailer for about a year and was disappointed with performance, used the tool very little because it would not sink nails. I decided to try the new gen 2 18ga nailer and can't believe the difference! Seems to have way more power, drives nails deeper and feels smooth. Nose piece is smaller and easier to position on trim work. I run smaller batteries on the nailer to reduce weight, and it feels more balanced than the old nailer. Plus I think it looks better overall, more refined. Rubber overmolds to protect the body when you set it down, doesn't mark work surfaces. I highly recommend this updated gen 2 nailer. I will be using it all the time!
I am a remodeler, trim carpenter and cabinet maker. Having relied on pneumatic nailers for decades, I was skeptical to go cordless. However my complete satisfaction with the multitude of other M12 & M18 tools prided me to try the 18ga. Brad nailer. At first I passed on it because the display model felt too heavy. Then after repeatedly having to set up compressor and pneumatics for simple, short needs on several smaller jobs, I decided to try it. I still thought it was too heavy, then I put the battery in. The small 2.0 amp hour battery actually balanced the tool quite well and it took no time at all to realize the performance and convenience far outweigh the weight issue.
I used this Brad nailer for a closet I’m installing and I put about 20 nails in the jambs and was installing the door casing and the plunger stuck so I couldn’t shot any more nails. I have to take it back to where I bought it to have them look into what happened. I bought the nailer for this project to keep from having to hand nail since I haven’t invested into an air nailer or a gas gun, I like the way the nailer feels and the weight of it just not happy with the performance that I have seen this far. All my other Milwaukee tools kick ace and I will buy Milwaukee again just not happy with the brad nailer so far
I use this for attaching trim and tacking parts of cabinets together during glue up. This gun has some serious power. I was pleasantly surprised to see it sink brad nails just as well if not better and more reliably than my pneumatic gun. I was willing to trade some reliability for portability but thanks to Milwaukee’s design I got both. It is comfortable in the hand and gives a very satisfying sound when fired. The only negative I can think of is having to turn the power on. I’m just used to picking up the gun and firing. I suppose this is just a safety feature and I will get use to it. Power does stay on after you push the switch so it’s only a first use of the day issue.
