I’m buying more after this review
il y a 3 ans
I used my friend’s impact driver that had this bit on, which I later purchased the FUEL impact driver and was happy to see one was included. It is a strong bit, even after abuse and the occasional slip out, I find that the hardware is what takes the beating instead of the bit. I’m glad I don’t have to replace these as often because of their durability. Overall, its fantastic, and now I am on my way to buy a whole SHOCKWAVE impact bit set that has several other bit sizes and shapes!
I love the Milwaukee bits! The Philips bits especially! Wether I’m using drywall, self taps, or machine screws the Phillips bit always grabs on and get the job done on the first try! And as a bonus, They even last long with heavy use! I always keep a Phillips bit in my daily impact driver, and it’s going on 3 months since I’ve changed the bit. It still grabs, and still drills the screw in like I bought it yesterday! One set could last a whole job! I’ll always use Milwaukee bits!
The shockwave bits are fantastic!!! They definitely have a lot longer life in them compared to the other brands out there. I have been in the carpenters business for 10 years now and i have used all the other brands of bits and I have gotta say Milwaukee has it down to a science. I have been using the same case of shockwave bits now for almost a year and none of them have broke even driving screws into hard wood like oak maple and sapele. Definitely would recommend this product
I’m pretty hard on my tools. Often times working from 8’ ladders or on top of equipment that’s 6’+ off the ground. It’s not uncommon for my tools to fall from these heights while working in awkward positions. The environments are harsh as well in the plants I work in. Every Milwaukee power tool I’ve owned has taken a beaten and kept on performing. If you rely on your tools like I do to get jobs done effectively and efficiently then the price you pay is a small investment.
I am not gentle with my tools. After a big job, I’ve found that I need to toss most of the bits I’ve used because I’ve worn them down or broken the tips to an unusable point. When I got a sample bit in my new impact driver, I figured it would at least save me from hunting down a new one for a few hours— I’ve had this one in use for about 6 months now and it still works just as well as day one. I’ve definitely added shockwave bits to my must-have in my job site “go bag”!
I tell you what I've tried every single bit there is out there in the shock wave from the Milwaukee fuel line let me tell you there's just nothing about it that makes me better than that I grip on let me tell you where I'm going to tell you weeha nothing compared to it that's all can't compare the wall get out of the business Milwaukee is the greatest I can add photos I would but I'm remote I work 1500 miles from the nearest town and I can't have my Philips impact bits breaking on me I've watched project farm and I've determined myself that the Milwaukee shockwave is the best bid on the market they'll drive you over 50 times longer than leading competitions is it really a competition if you're leading by 50 times though let's be real about him Milwaukee hit me with what you need me to have and I'll get it through the row
I am studying to become an electrician at a trade school. As I have stepped into the field, I have only heard electricians say, “get fuel drills”. Upon doing research and as I have used them, I learned that it is just easier to have all of my bits impact grade so I don’t have to worry about messing them up. The impact gun and the drill are both awesome and I’m glad that I put in the money to get the quality tools! I would recommend Milwaukee tools to anyone.
I strongly recommend milwaukee tools for every job

I start using milwaukee tools since i start this maintenance supervisor career in the apartment businesses, i live in arizona , the weather here is extremely hot and Milwaukee tools never let me down even in the worst days ! This product are quality! You can use them from the smaller to the biggest project! , I strongly recommend this brand to anyone who start maintenance, construction, electrical, plumbing etc. .. can’t wait to use tomorrow my new kit
I build all sorts of fence, from agriculture fences, and residential privacy fence both wood and vynil for a living, as well as chain link and aluminum, I use a variety of different bits for each fence, I've used Bostic, Dewalt, irwin, you name it, the only bit that holds up to the new guys improper handling of the tools is Milwaukee, all other bits are ground down and stripped by within one day, they are all I will buy and refer to anyone who ask.
I love Milwaukee tools my dad taught me that if you’re gonna use tools quality matters. I bought a brand new set of drills and I couldn’t be happier. My dad has had his set of tools for years and the condition they’re in is amazing. Milwaukee may have a bit more of a steeper price but it’s worth it I don’t see it as anything but an investment. These tools will most likely last me until I’ve made the money for them 100 times over and then 100 more.
The Shockwave Phillips #2 bit has been the best bit I've bought by far. It's magnetic enough to hold a screw but not enough to clog up with metal shavings. It's very strong, resisting everything I throw at it and shows zero signs of stripping. The head is crafted perfectly for drywall screws, almost like they snap together and it drives straight with so little effort. I only own one of these bits and it's all I need! (Okay, maybe a short bit too)
I had just used my m18 with xc 5.0 now usually Milwaukee products are pretty durable but the bit always seems to break! It’s always in the skinniest part of the bit! Now I was using this for a small project for a storage house putting in cedar wood and I was installing a screw with the ability to penetrate metal framing as I was screwing it down with a lil resistance and the bit broke!! I would recommend it again but improvements need to be made!

These bits are amazing!

Ive been using these impacts for about 2 years now and not too many impact bits can withstand the powerful impact of the M18 Fuel Gen 3 Impact Driver. The bit stays snug inside the screw head and doesnt cam out like other brands. Ive been using them since i bought them with my first impact, and dont have to replace as often as i thought. On a decent sized deck i might only run through 2 or 3 bits out of hundreds of screws. Thats a win in my book.
I use these bits for all types of applications. I am a plumber by trade and I’m constantly using bits. The Milwaukee bits last a long time and are less prone to strip or round off than most other brand bits. The bit kits are also a very reasonable price for the quality and quantity which makes them another plus. I will continue to only use not only Milwaukee bits, but every power tool and most every hand tool as well!! 6 stars in my book!!!
I am beyond satisfied with this Fuel Combo Kit. I was debating staying with DeWalt but after testing, I went with Milwaukee. It seems like Milwaukee is coming up with more innovative engineering, whereas DeWalt seems to just roll out the same repackaged product.
What I don't like is the single LED light. This cause the bit to cast a shadow over your target area. I think DeWalt's 3 LED lights at a triangle position "out shines" Milwaukee.
I literally leave one of these bits in one of my impact drivers at all times. I rarely have to change them and have only ever gone through a couple (which is to be expected, none are invincible). All in all these are pretty cost effective, have never sheared on me and I think it’s safe to say I won’t be leaving these in the toolbox anytime soon. Just can’t leave a five star in good conscious considering I don’t really use anything else :)
This bit holds up to alot of abuse where must other named bits round out the screw or become damaged themselves this Milwaukee Phillips Shockwave gives a better grip to the screw head an has less kick back will be getting the full set of Milwaukee Empact Driver Bits soon. I have always used Dewalt tools and bits but my new boss turned me onto Milwaukee and I'm replacing all my tools better lasting better warranty better product PEIROD!
In fire protection we use our Milwaukee tools to their limits no doubt!
We use these specific bits almost every day placing brackets for sprinkler systems, as well as many other daily uses for a phillips bit.
In my opinion there is absolutely no comparison to any other bit when it comes to durability and the ability to last you a long time with extreme use! Thank you Milwaukee, for always innovating in the construction world!
I am undergoing major home renovations and have been using a few of these Shockwave Wear Guard driver tips. The 1st thing I noticed was a very good fit into screw heads which helps to reduce jumping out or skipping over the screw heads which leads to more successful driving or removal. Wear on these tips was also noticeably reduced after using them for a while. A great addition to a cordless driver, makes for a solid & reliable tool.
I work industrial maintenance in a manufacturing plant. Keeping production running not only depends on the service crew but also the tools we use. These impact bits here are a life saver to say the least. They are just the right size to not have too much stick out and are very tight fitting. They seem to grab better than other brands we’ve used before which helps to not round out the head of the screw. They also seem to last longer.
Why would you even consider anything BUT MILWAUKE?

The main reason i use & love Milwaukee products, is the fact that they stay ahead of the industry. The listen to their customers & provide us with what we are asking for along side staying ahead of the industries technology!
From the rocket light, miter saw I have the entire m18 fuel arsenal and have no regrets of my purchases at all. Their customer service is A+.
LOOK MO FURTHER. MILWAUKEE TOOLS ARE THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS.
Look man I have been a carpenter all my life & have been a business owner now for 3 years. I’ve used all brands of tools & accessories. From EXPERIENCE I can tell you Milwaukee is unmatched! Plain and simple they have the strongest and longest lasting tools. The prices are alittle steep but WELL worth it when you realize what your getting. I’d recommend Milwaukee to any professional or DIY’er. You just can’t beat the quality !!!
What can’t this bit do? As soon as I opened up this bad boy it started to work wonders. When I got to the job site and screwed in my first stud, I blacked out. When I came to, I had unknowingly built a 2 story, 4 bedroom house, had two kids running around the backyard and a wife sitting on the front porch waving at me. When I opened the pack I was single so all I can say is thank you to this bit. It changed my life completely.
Compared to other drill bits (and I’ve used most other big brands bits) this one sits deep into the screw allowing a lower chance of stripping the screw out. This bit also when paired with a magnetic apex will hold a screw on the end of your impact better than most other bits. Milwaukee Tools are a little bit more expensive than say DeWalt or Rigid but they are worth it especially considering how much use your average tradesmen will use it in day-to-day work. This bit as with most Milwaukee products are generally the more expensive tools you can buy but in my opinion they are the best and since you don’t have to buy tools more than once unless you lose them I think it’s worth Biting the bullet and paying the premium for the Milwaukee version. I work in construction for Commercial buildings and I would say 80% of all trades when I see their tools are Milwaukee.
Bought the M18 Fuel drill and impact gun set which came with the Philips bit. Can't believe the difference and am now a converted Dewalt user. The drill and impact gun are light weight and well balanced which makes my job a lot easier. The bit never slips or has failed.
Would highly recommend this product and will definitely look into other items available in this line of tools
Good bye Dewalt hello Milwaukee Fuel.
These bits are fantastic, I rarely have to replace them as they are extremely tough. I am fully convinced that Milwaukee has found a way to make adamantium with how long they last and how much of a beating they can take. I use them daily between work and home projects and have never had an issue with them. Only suggestion I have is on the solid body bits making a magnetic option for when I'm not using a 1/4" bit holder.
I use this product daily. It helps me out with my daily tasks. It is great to know that I am using a reliable but everyday. Not only the bit but drill as well. Of all construction power tool companies I have used, nothing beats Milwaukee. The only thing that is a problem is the length of the bit. I find myself having to use extenders. Nonetheless, the bit is reliable, the best if the best, and would highly recommend it.
Other impact bits will often wear over time because of impact bit skipping, this bit seems designed to be more resistant to this kind of wear resulting in longer life. The seating into PH2 (Phillips head #2) screws is snug and helps transfer work area well and using this with a magnetic adapter works excellently because of this.
Maybe it's "new tool excitement", but I would definitely buy another set of these bits.
The Milwaukee Shockwave Bits are by far the best drill bits I’ve used. They don’t slip, they’re durable and an overall money saver. No more slipping and slamming your drill bit into the projects you’re working on. Even at awkward angles these bits outperform the competition getting those pesky screws in or out of whatever you’re working on. Loaded up the tool box with all of the Shockwave bits! Well done Milwaukee!
I use the shockwave bits on an almost daily basis, either at work or for use on my farm.
Both places I use the bits to break free rusted screws and screws that are steel in an aluminum housing so they are super tight. The Milwaukee shockwave bit holds tighter in the Philips head screw preventing the stripping or rounding out of the screw head.
I am very impressed with the whole shockwave line of products.
