Glad I switched!
il y a 3 ans
Several years ago, I bought a compressor/nailer combo to do the trim work on my house. Over the years on several other projects, I’ve hated dragging out the whole setup just to shoot a dozen nails. Sold that setup to help fund this nailer and WOAH is this better. Fast, accurate, and powerful. Every bit as good as the pneumatic nailer. Glad I switched.
I have the 15 and 16 gauge and was impressed so got the 18. Same satisfactory results. Only thing that I found off was when loading the nails. U can only fit in strip which isn’t a big deal but when u have say two halves then it seems to jam or shoot blanks. Not sure if it’s out there but a hard case for carrying around the nailers would be nice.
I was very hesitant about buying this after losing a large amount of money on Version 1. But they have fixed the problems on this version and it works great. The only issue is the small red tip constantly falls off and is easy to lose. Never buy the first model of their new product. They just make you buy the new corrected model later as a fix.
Amazing tool! I own an incredible amount of tools and they are 99% Red, but I was previously forced to purchase a Ryobi brad nailer / finish nailer because Milwaukee didnt have this tool available and I HATE CORDS and HOSES. The Ryobi models were inconsistent and often jammed. This new milwaukee nailer is amazing, so happy with the purchase!
Im a huge M-18 fan but this thing is junk jams every 2 nails bought it it to complete a fair amount of chamfer strip on concrete forms and has been way more irritation than its worth . Tried Bostitch brads first, thinking it could be nails Paslode worked no better. Very disappointed and have to waste more time now returning for repairs

I have installed around 200ft of trim with this gun so far. My only complaint is that it really doesn't like partial racks of nails. So plan on only running one short stack at a time. Or just throw away every short you have, it just doesn't feed them into the gun properly. Other than that it has been working flawlessly. I recommend.
I'm very pleased with the Milwaukee 18 gauge brad nailer. Once you dial in the depth setting the nailer runs smooth, is quiet and continues throughout the day without question. My last nailer was a Paslode 16 gauge and it was finicky to say the least.
After its first day of use I have total confidence in this Milwaukee nailer.
This is an outstanding nailer. No feed jams, no miss fires, and all the additional settings are excellent. If I have one complaint is that the rubber tip on the is kind of crappy, moves around a lot a occasionally falls off, I wish it was like the one they have on their 15ga finish angle nailer which is stiff and secure to end
This nailer is a real time saver. No more hassle tripping over or carrying extension cords, air hoses, compressor etc. to the job site. Also, no more compressor noise! No wind up time and can fire Brad nails as fast as you would ever need to fire them. Compact and easy to maneuver especially aired with a 2.0 or 3.0 CP battery
When I first got this nailer, I attempted finish work. The nailer left the 5th nail proud by 1/2 inch. Haven’t used it for a while until today to make some shop drawers. The nailer either jammed or failed to sink the nail 5 times for 1 single drawer. I tried 2 different brands of nails with the same results. Not very happy.

I use this this this brad nailer to install crown and base molding. It is truly more sleeker than the Dewalt 20 Volt 18 Gauge Brad Nailer I had and you don't here a ramping turbine engine like the dewalt. It is more powerful than its predecessors and the nail depth adjustments is awesome.
Hands down jack game's over
I have used the yellow and black cordless gun for a while but I made the switch this nailer. Got to say best move I made in awhile. Clean consistent holes, low noise and the selection of single fire and multiple nails is great. Light is in the perfect spot for low light areas and the best feature NO HOSE AND COMPRESSOR!
This gun works well I’m a contractor so I use it frequently. That being said you can’t leave it in your truck in the winter it will break from the cold is what I was told by the service center when I took it in to get repaired. They just gave me a new one. Aside from this issue it works well and doesn’t jam very often.
Love this Brad nailer. No ramp up time like the yellow version means a nail shoots as soon as you pull the trigger. The weight is just right to not fatigue and be nimble. The depth adjustor is so easy to dial in for different woods. A 6.0 battery while doing trim somehow seems to last forever on this thing. Very happy
Took me a while to get get used to since I have used pneumatic nail guns for 20 years, but it does the trick. It’s quite a bit heavier than your standard Brad nailer but manageable in short segments. I haven’t really worked in a full day yet but will soon. Overall it’s a great relief to loose the hose and compressor.
I love not having to fire up my loud air compressor when I want to assemble small projects. The depth adjust works well, as long as you maintain the same angle when shooting nails. The rubber safety tip helps to keep the project looking clean, unlike metal tipped ones that damage the wood. Overall, a great purchase!
Very solid tool so far.. only used about 100 nails but it's done great and feels strong . . The little rubber tip fell off.. I think that's a rule though ..
Bought to put a piece of baseboard in before selling the house.. got way over asking so the tool paid for itself.. so very close to being air compressor free
I really like this nailer. It sets the nails really well strait on. At an angle the depth needs to be adjusted to get them flush. It is great that I don’t need to have a compressor and hoses going everywhere. The gun with a 5ah battery is heavier than a standard pneumatic nailer, but for me the weight is worth it.
Battery powered is the bomb! I just love not having to haul the compressor out and then an air hose everywhere. It has enough power to drive a 2” brad through hardwood without a problem. There’s a speedy way to remove jams, although I’ve never had to use it. I would highly recommend this tool. No reservations!
Beats anything I tried, by a lot. Fast, sturdy, precise, reliable, battery lasts full day using it, semi-automatic mode is flawless. Just don't use DeWalt nails as they seem to be a major source of misfire (went through this hell). I've gone through approx 5000 nails so far and that's the only thing I can say.
Used this nailer once and had troubles with it not firing, went to use it a second time and wouldn't fire at all, sounds like something is stripping on the inside. Tried the reset steps 2-3 times and still same result and sound and no nail firing... love Milwaukee products but very disappointed with this one

18 gauge brad nailer

Great tool so far, shot only a few hundred brads but has done well. The only thing I am disappointed with is that one of the arms that hold the spare contact tips broke when I was switching one out. But as long as it doesn’t affect my work flow it’s not a deal breaker. If not for that I would give it 5 stars.
I bought it and used once and stopped working. Got it fixed and tried again got another problem. Terrible service. I understand no product is perfect but when you fix something you should at least test it first before you send it back. Spent time and money for nothing. I'll never buy another milwaukee again

Second to none and cordless!

This blew me away! The thought and design put into this tool is outstanding. Get rid of the compressor and hose because this will get the job done. You will not sacrifice quality, and you will gain back more time. I am surprised them haven’t tried capturing the slogan “ Designed by Tradesmen for Tradesmen”
I decided to pick this up instead of using my pneumatic brad nailer while rebuilding my front porch and for some trim work.
Loading is simple and there is zero spool up when driving the nails. Depth adjustment is easy as well. A bit heavier than my pneumatic nailer, but much easier to get up and running.
Very smooth action. No wind up. Love that it is battery powered and I am not dragging around an air hose. Tip on the gun at first seems like it has an odd shape, since it is wide. But it actually helps make sure you are shooting square to the wood surface to avoid curved nails and shiners. Love the gun!
Light, silent (contrary to Dewalt), robust, and sometimes too powerful that might ruin your last finish.
Should be careful to shot the nail when the gun is in proper position, otherwise nail wouldn’t go straight (contrary to Dewalt that nails go smoother).
But I like it since it’s Milwaukee, and FUEL.
Works nice until you get to approximately the last 5th of the remaining nails. Then the gun doesn’t want to drive the nails in completely the nails seem to get to a slight angle in the camber as if the spring isn’t strong enough. Once you load a new set of nails works perfect but that is a lot of nails.
I am and amateur DYIer who is renovating their entire home including an update to all of my trim and baseboards. I went through several online reviews and they sold me on this model. It is lightweight, SUPER easy to use and the battery lasted me an entire day. Highly recommend this nailer for the cost.
This Brad Nailer has the versatility to use on hardwood applications as well as easy and quick adjustment for use on lighter tasks such as plywood and pine trim. Using this tool is compact enough for those tight corners and smaller spaces and is ergonomic, which allows for extended use with no fatigue.
