Great gun that can pay for itself
il y a un an
Great nailer. It sometimes can struggle with 2" nails but thats no different than many pneumatics at times. Great run time off of a 2ah battery but i preffer the 3ah for balance and extended use when doing large amounts of baseboard etc. Always handy for doin quick service jobs or when power access isn't redily available and also great to not have to worru about getting hung up with hoses etc. And the zero ramp up is also a very key feature.
Ive been happy with the gun itself except the only nails they had available at the store was some dewalt ones. But the nails keep jamming every 5 or 6 nails. Im not sure if its the nails making this happen or the gun. Ill buy some new nails soon and see if that fixes the issue. If it does then this should recieve a 5 star rating. The gun is so easy to use and no more hoses or gas cartridges or any of that stuff to mess with. Love it!!
This is a very nice nailer. The operation is smooth. I wish I purchased the angled version. The 90 degree makes it hard to fit into tighter applications that I am working with. Just make sure you don't need an angles one for tighter spaces prior to buying this one. I have no complaints over the quality and operation. Just a suggestion, if you are planning to use this for a long period at one time,. use the compact battery. It is lighter.
This is another great finish nailer that gets the job done with ease. It’s small, light, and does an amazing job when used for crown molding. We use this in combination with the M18 FUEL 15 Gauge Brad Nailer for a lot of baseboard and crown molding jobs and neither of them have split the wood and have left very nice finish each time. Thanks again, Milwaukee team, for making another great finish nailer and another great product overall!
Great tool. Does every adjustment needed to work with various thicknesses and material. For the money I thought I was going to get a case with it barstool only.
I called customer service and asked if they sell one separately because I own many different m18 tools. Charger and battery wasn’t needed in the kit for me. So I lended up buying a packout for 100 to store it. In the end but the case charger combo. Better deal in the end.
My nailer was stolen and looking at reviews and speaking to colleagues it was deemed one of the best of the bunch. Helped I already owned a M18 battery.
I would have liked if the bare tool came with a bag.. Mostly tool protection and storage of Brad nails.
On the first strip of nails it did jam. The jam cleared easily and I reset the head. It was fine after that. I haven't used it a bunch yet
. However I am happy with my purchase.
Bought the 18 Guage battery brad nailer, tool only, (as I already own several battery Milwaukee tools and batteries) to install trim on 10 windows along with a box of 2" brads. I put the smallest 18 volt battery i had on it, shot several practice brads to set depth and went to work with it. I trimmed out all 10 windows without a single missfire, jam or hiccup what so ever. Refilled twice, I do like the way it stops with a few brads still in it, no chance for just putting a hole in your finish product. The best part is i still had two bars left on my battery. I later built a storage box for a generator out of 5/8" OSB, same battery, had to load 1 more time. Built the box with 2" brads then used another Milwaukee tool to drill, countersink, and screw it together. No compressor, no hose, no noise, and extremely easy to set up and use. Glad I purchased ..
Own many Milwaukee tools and was pumped to own the Brad nailer. No air house to drag around anymore! But to my disappointment it won’t sink consistently which I adjust the dial all the way up and still consistent. Which was not the only problem. The nails do not fire out consistently either. Which I figured out was the spring will not push the nail fully in. If I opened it up and pushed the nail up every time it works every time.
Hello Risks, thank you for taking the time to review your M18 FUEL™ 18 Gauge Brad Nailer and we are sorry to hear that this product did not meet your expectations. We will follow up via email with some additional information. Thank you-Mackenzie

Milwaukee 18 gauge Brad nailer
il y a 2 ans
I have used the Milwaukee 18 gauge Brad nailer for about a year and it has worked very well. It more consistently drives the nails in properly than the Dewalt nailer I had for years. I had a problem with my Milwaukee nailer here very recently that it wouldn’t drive the nails anymore and I took it in to the service centre and in a very short time they sent me a new replacement. Very happy with the product and the warranty.
Excellent! I went back and forth if I should spend the extra on the Milwaukee nailer as I don’t use it that often and I found it on sale for a great price and went for it. The thing has so much power and it’s so easy to see where the nail will fire. The adjustments are accessible and accurate. I was nervous about the size and weight but it’s really a well balanced tool and it fits in my packout I am happy on all counts
Best 18 gauge cordless brad nailer out there. Ergonomically and weight wise it can't be touched. It's so good now anyhow but if there could be an improvement it would be the rubber/plastic nail guard. It tweaks a little when pressed on into a funny angled position unless its held completely flat. Can make it bend back. Of course this is just an improvement and not a flaw per say. Anyhow this gun is the best hands down.
I borrowed this tool from my son to do some finishing. Then my wife saw it (and me) in action and bought me one for my birthday. It works great! Amazing number of nails on a charge with the 2ao battery. The depth adjustment is responsive and accurate. Adjusted countersink is clean and unobtrusive. I had one jam in 300 or so nails, and it took less than 20 seconds to clear. I would recommend this to anyone interested.
My previous cordless (not milwaukee) was a nailer stapler that I liked very much. Although this is only an 18 gauge nailer it is more powerful and leaves an accurate clean hole. I really like how comfortable and consistent it performs over my previous nailer stapler. I wish milwaukee wasn't so expensive but they never fail to outperform. I am very pleased with my purchase and fully recommend this nailer.
it saves so much time and no hoses. satisfied but the gun has to be reset after vertical shots. Not a good position when working above your head. I would like to see more lighting, line of sight is inhibited.
it does everything it claims except striker issue gets to be annoying. this is my third brad gun for the crew and we all have the same issues. But hands down best cordless Brad Nailer out there.
I am a Frame and Finish carpenter, recently I switched from Rigid, first going to Dewalt (big mistake!) as I put real use on my tools, burning out the Impact driver on day 2, which led me to Milwaukee... WOW I am beyond impressed, I’ve swapped over 60% Of my tools so far, and this Brad Nailer was the primary reason I started, absolutely perfect for most finish work, I can’t wait for the 23g pin nailer to be released.. This tool is easy to hold compared to dewalt, and rigidly versions, while the weight is similar this model has great distribution making it easy to hold above th waist for long periods of time, and the 5.0 battery lasts all day without trouble.. Milwaukee makes a fantastic product that holds up, and is surprisingly powerful.. So far 3 coworkers made the switch after trying out my 21degree Framer, and this 18g Brad Nailer.. I’ll get the rest of my tools swapped out soon..
Good gun, but too fussy on nails for the price. I tried Bostitch nails and it jammed every second nail. I tired Porter Cable nails and 1 in 10 nails jammed. With Bissett nails i didn't have a problem. Seemed to fire every time. If bissett nails hadn't worked I would be returning the gun. So only 4 stars because of jams. This 18Ga is perfect for baseboards, moulding and trim around windows and doors.
Works like a champ... at least so far. I've only owned it for a month, and I've only shot through one box of nails. But, it hasn't misfired on me yet, and I'm pretty impressed with the power. I'm very happy with my purchase of the M18 18 gauge nailer. Would I buy it again? Yes. I bought this and the 16 gauge nailer. If i had to do everything over again, I would buy the 15 gauge and this one.
It performs exactly as the reviews stated. It is heavier than my pneumatic gun, but the convenience of not dragging, snagging, kinking, tripping on an air hose or listening to a loud compressor is worth the added weight. The LED does a great job unless I'm working in a pantry or closet without lights. The depth guage works without leaving a dimple next to the nail. Next is to get a 16 guage gun.
So far so good it shoots much better than the first generation M-18 18 gauge Brad nailer that I had before. With the first generation, I had a lot of problems with nails, not sinking. so far with the second generation all my nails have been sinking just fine. I really like the fact that the second generation has the direction to turn the wheel on the nailer for deeper or shallower Nail depth.
I’m a female and needed a cordless nail gun because I didn’t like handling an air tank. My neighbor selected this one for me and I first I wasn’t too thrilled because it’s a little heavy, also I was hanging crown moulding. Well, when using it’s not as heavy and performs exceptionally well. The only thing I don’t like is the safety tip. It’s much too large. Other than that this is a must have!
this is probably the worst power tool experience I've had with Milwaukee M18s. I bought this and it didn't even last one job. the gun jams just about every single time. when it doesnt jam it drives the nail straight thru the material and out of sight into the backing material. the adjustment does nothing. I've tried different legnth nails this thing is a major disappointment

Milwaukee got it right on Gen II
il y a 3 ans
I waited for awhile until Milwaukee got this tool right as their first Generation had many issues. Once this one came out and I read that the issues weren't there that were present in their first Gen, I knew I needed this. Since then I've purchased this and have used it on a few projects, no issues, no jamming, man I love this. I have most of their nailers and love them.
This is an essential tool. My compressor quit. I needed to complete my project for a friend. I bought this and went to work. I saved hours and my back not dragging a compressor around. This gun is light and sets the nails at the depth needed. No noise, no need to plug anything in, no problem on the ladder with hoses. It paid for itself in one job. Great Milwaukee quality.
Great nailer I read about people worrying about the time it would take to wind up before firing the nail, but I can say I notice no wait. When I pull the trigger it fires and the rapid fire functions just like my air powered nailer. It is a bit bigger than an air nailer and definitely heavier, I try to use a smaller battery when using it just to keep the weight down.
when this nailer is working properly, its a great brad nailer. the major issues are that it doesn't seem to like certain brands of brad nails and 2" nails of any brand seem to jam inside. I have had to use 1 and 1/2" only for over a year but it was incredibly consistent and shot very clean for a solid year. currently, as of last week, the nailer stopped working suddenly out of nowhere and has started misfiring, making an odd cycling sound. I haven't given up hope though because I have read that they have fixed these issues on newer nailers and will honor a warranty exchange for free. one of the benefits of milwaukee tools is that one doesn't need to register the product (im not sure if this applies to all tools) and the timeline to claim is quite long. We will see this week if this does indeed work in my favor and then I can update this review. If I get a new nailer with these issues fixed, I would rate this a 5 star.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave an honest review! If you need any assistance during the warranty process, please feel free to email our team at social.media@milwaukeetool.com. Thank you! -Milwaukee Tool Social Team

M18 Fuel 18 Gauge Nailer
il y a un an
I'm currently working on a job to install picture frame molding. This nail gun has good speed and has been reliable. I used 1 battery for an entire room without charging overnight. The depth adjustment works well and the nail depth is consistent, I only had 4 nails i had to send home and that is a huge time savings. The size and weight are also ideal for my work.
With zero experience I found this nail gun very easy to use. It helped me finish a kitchen remodel by letting me put up all the trim and baseboard solo and without any hammer strikes in the wood. Almost all the nails set perfectly just under the wood. I can’t wait for another project where I can use this again. So much better than using a hammer!!!
I bought this after having a Rigid and Dewalt Brad nailer that misfires. I already had the Milwaukee Stapler that I love. After using this for 1 day it started misfiring. Now it's intermittent. Some day it won't fire at al and other times, it's about 1 out of 5. I'm extremely disappointed since it's milwaukee and the most expensive one out there.

It’s great… when it works
il y a un an
It’s great… when it works. I have used this nailer minimally and it began to consistently jam. Sent it in twice now for repairs. Just got it back for the second time and noticed a crack in the magazine that wasn’t there before. Going to have to send it back AGAIN. So frustrating to not be able to use the tool I purchased and have repairs go so poorly.

Glad I switched!
il y a 3 ans
Several years ago, I bought a compressor/nailer combo to do the trim work on my house. Over the years on several other projects, I’ve hated dragging out the whole setup just to shoot a dozen nails. Sold that setup to help fund this nailer and WOAH is this better. Fast, accurate, and powerful. Every bit as good as the pneumatic nailer. Glad I switched.
