Would buy again without any hesitation

il y a 4 ans
Heavy highway bridge construction use. Upon taking delivery of nail gun all my guys said same thing- “well, it’s heavier than the paslode”. that has been the only drawback so far but doesn’t go unrewarded. This thing has no recoil. It sinks nails where paslodes never would, plus there is no fuel cell to worry about. Which also makes cleaning and maintenance much easier. We have a ton of m18 batteries so there is no worry about trying to find a different battery or make sure it’s charged. This nail gun is a homerun especially when added to a fleet of m18 tools and batteries

Framing gun failed during first time use!

il y a 4 ans
Had this gun for a couple of days. Used it for the first time framing a small wall about 10 feet long by 8 feet high. First thing I noticed was the framing gun was super heavy and not well balanced! You will get a good working using this gun! The gun failed after using it in the middle of framing the wall. Sounds like something went wrong inside the piston cause it makes a crazy banging and clicking sound. The lights where the indicator is it blinks back and forth. One thing this gun has is power! It is a strong framing gun. Too bad it broke down before really using it!

Huge upgrade from pneumatic nailers!!

il y a 3 ans
I have used pneumatic nailers my whole life and decided to give this cordless battery powered nailer and I have to admit, whatever concerns I had went right out the window as soon as I fired the nail. This nailer packs a punch and I feel like it works as well as a pneumatic nailer, but no need for a compressor and hose to fire nails. This is huge when it comes to tools and equipment I have to take to a job site. The nailer has a single fire option and a rapid fire option. I feel like it performs as well as a pneumatic but without the hassle of hoses and compressor and need for electricity to power the compressor. The cordless nailer is heavier then a pneumatic, but all things considered the nailer is a definite winner.

Everything you expect

il y a 4 ans
This gun is everything you expect from a Milwaukee tool. Well built, works great. Drives nails like they claim, and at the speed they claim. Not quite as quick as a coil nailer for sheathinfg, but fast enough that I won't go back to air. The extended magazine SHOULD come with it, unfortunately it doesn't. Tool-less depth change works good. The teeth bite in well on any angle for toe nailing. Battery life is decent - 5.0 lasts a couple hours with moderate nailing. Only gripes I have is, it is heavier than expected (not really bad, but you get used to it), and the extended magazine is a must have if you are using it for sheathing. Been waiting for this gun for ~2(?) years since it was announced and it did not disappoint.

Love This Tool.

il y a 2 ans
I'm a DIYer and this is the first framing nailer I've owned so I don't have a lot of prior experience to compare it to. That said, I love it. I'm currently building a large, elevated deck and not having to deal with the extra effort of messing around with a pneumatic line is a real time saver. The nailer is reliable and consistent and I've yet to experience a jam. I use the 4Ah battery (over 18 months old) and it last longer than I do! Single nail mode is comfortable and smooth and the bump-nail mode is very handy for composite beam construction. Very impressed.

Best gun out there

il y a 2 ans
Everyone says oh it’s so heavy. Well good construction has more metal than plastic parts. It’s not big deal for me about the weight. I use an 8 ah in it as well. It lasts all day and then some on an average framing day. Love how it sets the nails in lvl as well. I run paslode nails through it and it never has a problem. Had a dewalt nailer before and took it back 3 times in a week just garbage. Paslode guns were good because it was the only one out there but doesn’t have a bump trigger and the gas gets expensive. Highly recommend if you’re man enough to handle it

Impressive tool

il y a 3 ans
This nailer has worked great! It is a new purchase for me and I have only put about 2,500 nails through it so far, but it has not misfired once that I'm aware of. It drives nails into standard pine with ease as well as 50 year old studs. I did use it on a tough unidentified board and it couldn't countersink completely, but that was likely due to there being some "give and spring" with where the board was. If it was pressed tightly against a solid surface and not allowed to give, it may have done just fine. Overall, I'm very pleased and impressed with it so far.

Not just a luxury tool!

il y a 3 ans
I've framed for awhile now and have seen quite the innovations in our tools. Not going to lie, I was skeptical about a battery framing gun. Especially since DeWalts gen1 is complete garage and feels like a 'Jack in the box' ready to explode all those springs and gears. MILWAUKEE blows this one out of the water. I use it for nailing off beams, setting trusses and really anything that I dont want to pull hoses and compressor out for. Definitely buying a second. I wouldnt rely on it for building walls all day. It does have speed but it gets heavy. Really good buy!

Great product and worth the price!

il y a 3 ans
Great product for the small contractors such as myself that do not want to pull out the air compressor, hose and nail gun. This thing has great and never ending power. I am using the 6 Amp hour high output battery along with this. And after building a closet frame, a French door enclosed Frame, a pocket door enclosed from and repairing a deck, it only took away 1 bar on the battery. This thing is a must for the small time contractors trying to make it big and the big time contractors that are out there everyday. Will recommend this tool to anyone and everyone!

This framing nailer is fantastic

il y a 4 ans
I was building the joists for my garage and my pneumatic nailer finally died but it did me well over the years. I have been building my M18 Milwaukee tool collection for the last few years and decided to invest in the new 30° M18 framing nailer to finish my project. I am so glad that air nailer died. This nailer is easy to use and I can shoot nails fast without any recharge delays; it is quieter than a pneumatic and no hoses getting tangled around ladder legs or other job site equipment. Definately buy this nailer again and would recommend to everyone

Another BEAST from Milwaukee

il y a 3 ans
I can’t speak for the longevity of this tool, I have had it for a week. I have the Dewalt framing nailer and that purchase is one of my few tool buying regrets. This framer from Milwaukee is a very powerful nailer. I did have BEAST in my review title. I am going to be using more gun nails going forward. Some of the other reviews mention heavy, yes it is. Is it worth dealing with the weight? My vote is yes. My Dewalt is lighter and there’s a reason it lives in its cubby in the van and I would drag out the compressor. My new family of Milwaukee nailers might make me want to put the compressor in the shed. Nah. Not until I get a reliable battery coil nailer. The right tool for the job. The extended magazine holds two tracks just fine

Does not deliver 3 nails per second

il y a un an
I bought this gun 4 months ago and not only was I immediately disappointed that the 3 nails in 3 seconds only applied for the first 3 nails if that and also only applied for the first 3 months as the gun progressively got weaker and weaker as if I was abusing it like many her have said I am left pounding in almost every nail I shoot into an lvl, am often using my nail punch to unclog my barrel from twisted spikes and am simply having a horrible time with what is supposed to be a premium product and for some reason the only battery gun with 2 good hooks

This Nailer ROCKS

il y a 2 ans
This Nailer Rocks Even though the box says 700 nails per charge. I shot 990 2inch ring shank nails on my new Milw. 30* Framing Nailer. With only a 3/4 charge on my Milw, 9.0 High Demand Battery (say that twice :)) Being an OG (old guy) I thought the weight would be an issue. It was not. It is weighty though. My only issue was the clip has to be almost empty to reload, a lil’ bit longer would make life a lot easier. But I guess it’s designed that way, to compel you to buy the extended clip. Even so I’m very happy with its performance. This nailer Rocks

Beast of a Nailer!!!

il y a 10 mois
Absolutely a beast!!! BEST cordless nailer I've ever used. I have just recently switched from Dewalt, to Milwaukee. I'm loving all options/ platforms they offer and the quality being their focus. It definitely shows in this nailer! Although on the heavy side, the reliability and cycling of nails blows me away. This nailer keeps up with a fast pace demand! Nail, after nail its always right there!!! I have to give it a 4 out of 5 just because of the weight. Bigger the battery you go the heavier it becomes. Reliability is always the same!!!

Best cordless Framing nailer on the market

il y a 3 ans
I Have been a journeyman carpenter for 20 years and have pretty much used every kind of nail gun out there. When I decided to buy the 30 degree Framing nailer I was a bit skeptical from my experiences using other cordless nailer in the past. But since I have always been impressed with Millwalkee tools I decided to give it a go. And I was not let down. In fact it is way more impressive than I was expecting. The power it has is amazing. Rapid nailing into LVL is not a problem. Battery life is amazing to easily lasting long enough to build multiple walls. Honestly the only downside is the weight. It's a little on the heavy side but in my opinion it's an easy trade off since I no longer have to fight with an airline and compressor.

Heavy Duty Nailer

il y a 3 ans
Very sturdy and well made nailer but recommend at least a 3 aH battery for anything more than 200 strikes. It's a bit on the heavy side ( a bit more than similar sized air nailer ) but you don't have the hassle of lugging an air hose around your job either. Drives the nails to proper depth consistantly although it has a rather short magazine that requires you to have extra reams of 30 degree nails in your pocket or toolbelt. I might look at purchasing an aftermarket extended capacity magazine if I get into another big job. Overall. Pretty happy

Disapointing

il y a 3 ans
I am a professionnal rough carpenter and I build appartment buildings. I bought this nailer to help me when I have to go for appartment to appartment to put in backing, correct mistakes, etc. by removing the hassle of the hose. At first, the gun works great. The problem is durability. I use pneumatic nailers for around 99% of the job but still, in the first year that I owned the nailer, I had to have it repaired twice because the head/piston just gets worn. The nails don't go in fully anymore. It has huge kickback. For the very light use I have of it, I am very disapointed. It does not deliver on the promise of replacing pneumatic guns at all. I have a lot of other milwaukee tools and I am usually very satisfied. This is not one of those cases.

Fairly impressed with this nailer

il y a 3 ans
I purchased the M18 Fuel Framing Nailer for building my house this year. I have worked with many different paslodes and air nailers. Each have there own advantage the Milwaukee is surprisingly fast but boy she feels heavy compared to an air nailer. If you are looking for a light nailer this is not your best option. Other then the weight problem this thing is wicked, it has not jammed on me once. I would also recommend getting a bigger battery or at least having two it seams to go through them quite fast. If it was lighter it would be a 5/5

Worth the weight

il y a 3 mois
The convenience of the Milwaukee Fuel 30° Framing Nailer is a game-changer for small projects. There’s no need to wrestle with compressors, air lines, or extension cords—just pop in a battery and nails, and you’re ready to go. The standout benefits are its portability and zero setup time, making it an incredibly efficient tool for quick tasks. While it’s heavier than pneumatic nailers—especially for all-day framing—this is a trade-off for its impressive performance and durability. Milwaukee has clearly struck a balance to deliver a robust and reliable tool. The all-in-one framing nailer setup, compactly stored in a Packout box, makes the added weight well worth it. I’d absolutely buy it again for the unmatched convenience and versatility it offers.

Perfect tool for the job

il y a 3 ans
I was hesitant at first to try this out seeing that I have used a pneumatic nailer for some many years and have got used to that power. The framing nailer was a impulse buy for a small job and I don’t regret it one bit. It has a lot of power to get the job done. It sinks nails to the set depth with no problem. I tried another company’s battery powered nailer before and it wasn’t up to par as the Milwaukee. The only down side is the included magazine does not hold many nails. It would be nice if they included the extra nail magazine.

Good So Far!

il y a 4 ans
I bought the M18 Fuel 30 Degree Framing Nailer because I always seem to be building something at home or helping my married children, relatives and friends build something. I have an air nailer but it seems to stick or jam quite often. I am currently rebuilding my sauna from the ground up. So far this gun has performed flawlessly both with framing and nailing sheeting. I should have gotten the extension because it only holds one strip of nails and I have to change often. If I was a contractor I would get the extension for sure.

First time using it - framed up 24x24 garage

il y a 4 ans
Used a 5.0 battery lasted until lunch. Plenty of power, zero issues, zero malfunctions. Ran maybe 30 strips of nails through it. Gave it to my cousin who was hanging off the end doing rafter tails so he could maneuver easier. He was sold he is already fast and could go faster. I was nailing up the rafter to the ridge with a hosed framing gun and it felt like a pain fixing the hose all the time. Without the extended mag it can fit between rafters- the whole nailer. Glad for size and weight I didn’t have the extended mag actually.

Love this nailer

il y a 3 ans
This nailer has worked flawlessly since I started using it. Batteries last quite a long time, it is a bit heavy but I find it quite balanced and I had no issues with the weight. I had 30 degree nails in it and reloaded with 34 degree nails. It shot the last 30 and didn't even hiccup switching to the 34. It is somewhat noisy but still quieter than a compressor and pneumatic nailer. The belt hook is in a poor location for my use but the rafter/joist hook is great. I've shot over 3000 nails through this without a single problem.

Great tool

il y a 4 ans
I have been using the nailer for several weeks now for general framing. It is heavier than I would like, with a 5ah battery, but it is worth it to not have a hose attached. It is not noticeably heavier than a Paslode impulse. It has no trouble sinking nails in LVL or PSL. The only issue I've had is the gun has overheated. I was nailing floor sheeting in full sun on a very hot day. Asking it to work properly in 35 degree Celsius temperatures plus is a lot to ask. I plan to buy a second nailer when it comes out as a bare tool.

I had one on back order for a while, finally came into the tool store and i have been using it all day today and it is blown the paslode out of the water. Weight wise it is a little bit heavier of a gun, but not quite as heavy as dewalts cordless framer, but performace and speed of the gun is top notch. It is just like using an air nailer, bump fire and all, can pretty much shoot as fast as i can push it. And burries 3 1/2 inch nails into 2 ply engineered lvl every shot with ease. Good nailer

il y a 4 ans
We purchased two of the nailers and have mixed reviews. The one nailer worked great the other nailer shoots two nails every time. Contacted Milwakee and was told to take it back to where my company purchased it. Hopefully we will get a replacement soon, we had the units on order for 6 months till they came available. The one nailer that works is a good nailer. It sinks nails really well in lumber and LVLs on single fire mode. In bump fire the nails are not always sunk below the surface in LVLs. The nailer is heavy compared to our air nailers and feels about the same as our Paslode cordless. For repair work or small framing jobs where it is a pain to bring a compressor and hose is where the nailer shines. If they could get the weight down, it would be really great.

Great power - great battery life.

il y a 2 ans
This framing nailer has superb power. It drives the nails no problem. It also has a really nice depth adjuster on top. Furthermore it uses veeery little battery power. We put a 6.0 amp hour battery on it and framed for 2-1/2 days before having to switch. Though with a 6.0 or greater battery it had some heft to it. I mean, if i had to guess it might weigh close to 15 lbs with a 6.0. That being said you could throw a 1.5-3.0 on there and frame pretty much all day with it. Thats what i would recomend personally. The only real negative side is that without the extender it only holds one clip pf nails. Buy the extender right from the start or it'll be your next purchase anyway. Overall I still feel it deserves 5 stars. Not a paid reviewer, just a satisfied customer.

This is a very good preforming tool. I have only ran about 1000 nails (3” &2 1/4”)through it at the time of writing this review however it has Ben jam free and very fast. This tool responds well with standard batteries and even better with the high output style. A unexpected feature is that the safety foot and actual nail placement is about half the distance apart as in my old bostch pneumatic nailer. The only con is that if you use plastic bonded nails the waste pieces can eject towards you in certain common positions.

I chose the 30 degree variety because of existing nailers I already own and their advantages for remodeling over 21 degree. Overall performance is great and I'm thrilled to add this tool to my extensive Milwaukee collection. The only downfall I've found is the weight but I will trade that for fewer cords and hoses on the jobsite. One huge advantage of this tool for remodeling applications is the fact that these don't kick up the dust with every nail fired so you can tell the wives its actually good for your health;)
