Works all around

Is on the heavy side above your shoulder. Has alot of recoil into the hand and wrist compared to pneumatic if you use it all day. Very uncomfortable. I am not sure that was the intention for it anyways. But in my opinion that is overcome by the convenience of the tool being cordless, consistency of the tool and the excellent runtime it provides. It is the perfect tool for jumping around job sites, muti unit job sites, small jobs and the application of trusses. Completed one home with it for curiosity, start to finish and it performed in every aspect. It is just not ideal for massive amounts of sheathing in my opinion. But it will do the job. A+
We have been buying the Paslode gun nails and gas for quite some time now. So we have a lot of experience with cordless nailers. This thing is a huge leap in the right direction. Way faster, no gas and sinks them the right amount into the wood (after a little adjustment for the wood type) I’m impressed and can’t wait to get my hands on the 21* version. Been waiting for that but grabbed this one up in the meantime with the extended mag. It’s great for pick up work in addicts and crawl spaces. I will own many of the 21* guns. SIDE NOTE since I know you guys take advice well ;) need the clip to go out the width of a stud for truss hanging
I bought one, after a couple weeks it stopped sinking nails. Returned to the store and got a replacement. Same thing within a couple days. Returned for a refund. When it works, it works great. I wish the hanger clip was extendable to allow hanging from a truss.
Balance needs to be made more centralized. Weight can be frustrating, but the balance is what's wrong. too heavy at the back and nose of the gun. Need more weight to be in the center. Sometimes the contact firing mode will cancel and revert to extra safe mode if left for too long, which is annoying.
I'll wait for gen 2 - hopefully it's in development, and isn't years away.
I’m a framer - so this gun isn’t used for full time framing - it’s too heavy for that. But its perfect to keep on site for the moments that arrive every day where it’s very convenient to have a hoseless gun on hand - change orders - back framing - solo work - framing a landing - tie-ups - some roof framing. The list goes on. The extended mag is perfect, and I like how the mag is not plastic therefore more durable. When I have the means, I’m for sure going to pickup a second gun. Milwaukee killed it. I only wish somehow the technology could be fiddled with so that it is made lighter - this beast is heavy, but packs a big punch. Go pick one up today!
I have had this gun for 8 month it has let me down big time! It will not drive 3 inch nails more than half way into a LVL. It does not shoot 3 1/4 inch ring nails in all the way on spruce lumber. Now if I want it fixed, I will have to send it in for warranty repair and it will take weeks to get back! I am needing it to build a house now! I can not continue with out it for even a day. The owner has purchased 6 boxes of nails just for this gun! So now I will have to tell him the gun I bragged about will not work, so he will have to take all the nails back and get coil nails for my 30 year old bostitch nailer! Which has never let me down.

Excellent except for the weight.

I am a home builder and remodeler. I use this framing gun quite regularly and have been excited for it to become available since I use primarily Milwaukee tools. It has a lot of power for microlams and can keep up nicely when sheeting floors, walls, and roofs. The only thing I am not so happy about is it’s weight. I had the dewaldt framing nailer which was extremely light but didn’t always drive the best and broke just shy of 1 year. While waiting for the Milwaukee I bought the hitachi framing nailer and it drives well but is very bulky and heavy. Unfortunately the Milwaukee is even more heavy and is going to take some getting used to.
For the most part, I’ve been disappointed because some of the nails are bent and sticking out close to an inch snd a quarter. There’s a problem either with the firing pin mechanism or how they are packed into the chamber before firing. This has been used for two jobs. Smaller nails are fine, but 3+ inch nails, same angle, are problematic. This nail gun already has a dubious reputation going forward. For the price and being that it’s a Milwaukee tool, I’ve come to expect better. Tried uploading photos, but can’t on this review. I’ll tell you this, when a third of the nail is sticking out and bent like the letter ‘J’, there’s a problem.

Sped up build time significantly for me.

This is my first Milwaukee tool. I was sick of waiting for Makita to make their own framing nailer, but have typically been a Makita guy. So far I'm very impressed with this tool. No complaints whatsoever with its performance. Its sped up my build time tenfold. The only thing I can say so far is that I certainly prefer Makita's battery connect/disconnect system over Milwaukee's. It never feels like it seats quite right in the tool or charger, even though it is I guess. And to remove the battery seems sticky. Makita's is much more direct and smooth. But regardless, seriously great tool and highly recommend to anyone battery complaint aside. Its minor.
