The first one I purchased worked fine had an issue with the ratchet head sent it out for warranty which is awesome buy the way however thy couldn’t repair it so thy replaced it the new one however it’s not the same as the one I originally purchased the ratchet head is smaller and it doesn’t have the torque the old one had I’m a mechanic by trade and I also have purchased and still have tool truck cordless ratchets so I have a pretty good idea of what to expect from one

Owned this tool for about a year.....another great tool but needs to be re-designed! The forward\reverse is on top of the ratchet head, numerous times in cramped spaces I have had this back itself into a corner with no way to release the tension.....had to use pry-bar etc to get tool out of jam. Its grate otherwise but the hole idea is to get in to tight spaces!!! Re-engineer this one please ! love the M12 series and will keep buying

True independence

People need to understand that this is an efficiency multiplier. It is not cheap (as far as the complete kit goes), but you get what you pay for. There are cheaper versions of the same concept out there. However, I opted to pay for quality. Additionally, the fact that it uses a battery system which can be utilized in many different products was a crucial selling point. You are not just buying a tool, you were buying a tool SYSTEM.
This ratchet is crazy fast. I have a couple tool truck cordless ratchets and this Milwaukee is mindblowingly fast. The torque is low, but the speed is where the ratchet shines. Due to the low torque I don’t use it as often as I’d like. It definitely eats thru batteries. I swap them out at least once a day. Tool truck batteries I swap them out maybe once every couple weeks, so that’s a pretty big disappointment for the Milwaukee. The Milwaukee head gets pretty hot after using it on several fasteners, but by the time the battery dies it’s basically telling me it needs a break anyways. If you get a running start on tighter fasteners, it usually breaks them loose. I can guarantee it will not break loose a bolt torqued to the advertised 35 lb/ft without a running start. Overall, good ratchet for lighter applications, just have a couple extra batteries at all times.
I am very happy with this product! The high speed is fantastic and makes quick work of different jobs in the shop. I am a ASE auto technician, this tool is great doing anything from removing splash shields to water pump bolts to caliper bolts. Keeping in mind that with a lot of bolts you’ll have to break loose first. Compact design makes it fit well in tight spaces. One of the best tools I’ve ever bought hands down.
Amazing tool.. Exactly what I needed and I'm so glad I bought this one. Perfect for my everyday use. These compact ratchets cut the time out significantly for mechanic jobs. I would definitely recommend this product to anybody that’s looking into electric ratchets. If you’re looking for something with more power as well the impact right angle wrench is a beast. IT REALLY TAKES IT TO ANOTHER LEVEL WITH H-O BATTERIES.
Works great, very small form factor especially compared to the new Dewalt ratchets. You will have to break some bolts free with it before it will spin them (low torque), but I got it just for zipping smaller nuts/bolts off fast and it's awesome at that. I actually prefer the low torque, you can use it to put on smaller fasteners and not worry about over torqueing/breaking them like you would with the stubby impact.
works great! I had to purchase for hard-to-reach bolt on a diesel motor after unsuccessful attempts to remove it (and cut up hands from attempting). This tool had it done in no time! I did have to loosen it first and complete the final torque after installation as the tool did not have enough power to do either. Still a great tool! I do recommend the "square" 12v battery as this used the small ones quickly.
Fortunatley I was able to use a co-workers before I madde my purchase. I was initally worried about the torque but after significant use, I can say there is no issue. The unit is compact enough to get into those tight spaces. This thing is great for coil screws. Fits nicely under the cowl with enough room to back out the fastener. If you've got lots of small fasteners in tight spaces this thing is awesome!
Awesome love it’s quick action and ability to be a no power ratchet past its power torque rating so I can have it quickly tighten and then power off and use as regular to get things nice and tight to my desired amount. Also with loosening works the same! Break it loose then power sit up to remove nut! Great! And the switch to keep it off in the tool bag! Wish all your stuff had that!!
I’m a mechanic I use my tools hard. My 3/8 battery powered snap on ratchet died so I bought this Milwaukee battery 3/8 ratchet. 30 or 35 ft/lbs is no way I am severely disappointed with the ratchet. The 1/2 impact is phenomenal ratchet does not compare to snap on at all unless I got a bad one I’ve had it about a month now. Unless there’s a setting I need to switch it to.

Nice improvement over old fuel
il y a 3 ans
Love the new high speed ratchet. The improvement in speed is welcomed, works a treat for small fasteners in the engine bay. You can still manually loosen bolts with this and then spin them off with the motor. The anvil fits a little loose on some of my snap on extensions, so I have to be extra careful to make sure they don’t slip off but that’s the only downside I’ve found.
I'm a professional automotive technician and I absolutely love this thing! It's insanely fast at running down bolts. It makes most jobs much quicker. I retired my air ratchet to my home shop after purchasing this tool. As an example I had a Ford battery changed out in less than two minutes the other day. I would definitely recommend purchasing this if you're on the fence.
sockets fall off. the spring for the detent ball is not as strong as the brushed 2456-20
i put a 3" extension with 5/8 deep well socket on it, went to take bolt loose and it fell off before i could get to it. it was like it was to heavy, notice the detent ball was softer than my old 2456-20 that i had for 10+ years had to return it
guess ill stick with old reliable

An essential tool
il y a 2 ans
Started off with the basic electric ratchet and it got the job done but it was time to upgrade to the fuel high speed ratchet. It does come in handy at times. With the long reach I find did not get the high speed but it had a little more torque, the power and torque are almost equal. With this ratchet you do have to most likely have to brake the fasteners loose
Very handy and yet still compact enough to toss in the “work bucket” without thinking twice about it. Please do understand this is a “ratchet” with low torque and not an “impact” with high torque to bust and/or tighten beyond normal hand ratchet power. I have impacts and ratchets from Milwaukee and love them all, as long as I use the right tool for the job.
I've only had this ratchet for a couple of weeks and it hasnt seen much use. From what i have used it for so far its a dang good purchase. The light placement seems adequate. The fuel indicator is under your palm during use so i think that could be improved on. The overall design is good and the torque is adequate for my needs. Great electric ratchet.
Great tool for low torque applications. Not a power house at all, but its nice to have something to run bolts in and out quickly. The smaller head fits in tight spots. Only thing would be to add a little more power to the tool. Being a 3/8 with a 1/4 head makes anything bigger than a 10mm bolt too tight to remove without breaking it loose first.
Just like having pneumatic air ratchet at super high air pressure. This thing is super fast it is great to have no hoes dangling. It's so cool I almost want to sleep with it. Like a kid with a new toy if I can only win that 10 item Milwaukee package that would be heaven. I would be covered with sawdust Grease dirt and metal shavings 24/7
This 3/8” drive ratchet is awesome! I highly recommend this. I got this for free when I purchased the high output 2 batteries and charger kit. I’ve used it as soon as I got it and I put my sons tool box together very quickly. The trigger is very comfortable and it’s a great all around cordless ratchet. I’m planning to get an impact next

M12 FUEL™ 3/8" High Speed Ratchet
Milwaukee is a reputable company and this well constructed and versatile tool is proof. Speeds up work significantly. Wish I had purchased years ago. Highly recommend.
It’s a must have tool. I’m a mechanic of 20 years and this thing is amazing. What it lacks in power it makes up for it with speed. The small head is nice. The body is a little bulky but not horrible. Majority of things you’ll have to crack free first. But the speed is incredible. It definitely beats using an air ratchet.
Man this ratchet is twice as fast as the milwaukee 3/8 and snap-on 3/8 cordless ratchet. Now mind you the torque is less than those but still can use it like a regular ratchet to break fasteners loose. Not sure how sturdy it is or if tighteners are to tight if it will give but so far has held up in professional environment!
I was always the yellow team until I bought this ratchet. This thing is awesome. It’s fast and I can manually break fasteners with some good amount of torque and the anvil holds up fantastic. Already switched to Milwaukee for my impact, sds hammer drill sawzall, bandsaw, light stand, soon will be the mid torque 3/8 impact
Love this ratchet. Wish i got one a long time ago. Wish it had a touch more torque, but the size and weight is so much better than the higher torque option. Not a big deal loosening by hand on tighter stuff. Really rusty bolts sometimes won’t spin off though even once loosened. Works great on most stuff though
This product is good for quickly removing and installing LOOSE hardware but does not apply any torque. If it is torqued at all it slightly hits and the battery lights blink. Is effectively has not usable torque. Great if you are a professional mechanic where speed is important maybe but not for the DIYer.

All about speed
il y a 2 ans
This tool has exceeded all expectations, I’ve been working with the non fuel ratchets for years but the added speed and torque output on this tool is ideal work performing various tasks on the interior trim of todays automobile which use several screws to hold things together. It makes that work a breeze.
I absolutely love this high speed ratchet. Its great quality like every Milwaukee tool, It makes working on my cars so much more easier and faster. This is my second ratchet ive bought since my first one was stolen. This is one of my most used tools, i dont go anywhere without it. Definitely worth buy it.
Didn't realize how bad I needed this in my life until I had it and used it. This thing cuts so much time down on disassembly and assembly. The only thing I'd change is to make the actual drive head a little smaller for better access in real tight spaces (the non-fuel version has a much smaller head)
So far, I haven't had the opportunity to use the tool. However it was something that was needed in my tool box for many reasons. After research I found that Milwaukee had the best rated and also compact, which compact is very important to me, ratchet. I'm happy with my purchase and decision overall.
