Great Ratchet. This Ratchet has less torque than the normal Fuel Version, but it has a lot more speed. I purchased it for light low torque jobs, cleaning threaded holes with a Tap and Tap Socket. It works great for that, switching directions is quick and easy. It feels like the switching mechanism is better than the non fuel version. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a faster, lower torque cordless Ratchet. The M12 batteries are rock solid, the newer battery designs work better in the ratchets, don’t have to worry about the battery coming apart.

This tool has a lot of power to drive lags, bolts, and anything I need. Even when doing repairs and maintenance on vehicles it is a great tool to have. The only issue Ive had with it is that from time to time when I run a bolt in part way and stop and try to start back again it doesn’t want to continue to tighten or drive it; if I reverse it and start over it has no problems at all. It doesn’t happen all the time, but when it does it from time to time it bothers me, but I wouldn’t trade it for a hand ratchet. Even though its only 12v its fantastic.

As a heavy/medium duty diesel mechanic apprentice I've been using my 3/8 high speed ratchet everyday at work. It's extremely fast and helps me get jobs done a lot faster than using a hand ratchet. My only complaint is the lack of break away torque. Seems like every bolt/nut (even ones that are usually torqued down to low ft-lbs) need to be broken by hand first. My mentor's snapon 3/8 cordless ratchet doesn't seem to have this issue though. Not sure if I got a dud or if this is fairly common with this specific ratchet.

Definitely faster than the previous generation, but with less torque. This is not really designed to break free a fastener, however it should be able to break free more than it does even with a 6.0 battery. This does improve speed and efficiency overall, but still always comes back to the lack of torque factor. I have actually had to send my ratchet for repair a few times now, the head was stripped out, the plastic plunger that the trigger actuates broke which is pretty flimsy imo, and the next was the tool stopped functioning all together. However I will say that the Milwaukee repair center has been great for repair of this tool each time…(I wish I could say that for my other Milwaukee tools I’ve sent in). Overall this tool is used everyday and has held up decently.

I have been very happy with my purchase so far. The ratchet performs easily as well as expected. The torque being lower than the other Fuel model is easily make up for by the increased speed. If you nees more torque, it is easy enough to just use the tool as a manual ratchet to break a nut or bolt loose, or to apply finishing torque. Battery life has been quite good, even with the included 2.0ah battery. While the built-in light doesnt fully replace a good shop light or flashlight when working in poorly lit spaces, it does provide enough illumination to work with in a pinch. RPM control is pretty simple with the paddle switch, though it might have been nice to have at least a high/low option. Overall a great tool. Makes auto work quite a bit less labor-intensive!

This is my 4th 3/8 Milwaukee ratchet. Many people get ratchets confused with 90 degree right angeled impact wrenches. Allot of negative reviews are a result of this misunderstanding. Basically, all you have to do is put the socket on the bolt, give it a tug to crack it and then hit the paddle to zip it off. The only problem that is common among all of the FUEL ratchets is the size of the head compared to the old brushed version. The high speed model is definitely better than the first FUEL standard length model but is still larger than the original. I'm fact, due to the reduced head size and the vast increase in speed.. this is now my go to ratchet! ATTN: MILWAUKEE - PLEASE release an extended length high speed model with the reduced head size! Also, please release a protective boot!

I bought ratchet a while back did not get to use very much before ratchet head stopped functioning, so sent it back for repair, got item back and they said it was fixed it was not. so i bought a replacement kit and fixed myself then the trigger broke so contacted milwaukee again this time they replaced item completely no questions asked THANK You. I am 50yr old and growing up my dad always had Milwaukee products because they last. I am glad to see they still stand behind their products Thanks

I use this tool exclusively in attics to fasten Unistrut together for reinforcing purposes and deal with a lot of 3/8 allthread and various other fasteners of that size. I previously used the old non-fuel 3/8 ratchet that was also awesome, but this one is significantly faster and has just a bit more power so I don't have to go back and hand tighten as many nuts. Battery life is as good as the old tool if not better and it's nearly the same size. So far I am really pleased with this tool.
