What a great lightweight and powerful impact.

To be fair, I am hooked on the Milwaukee Fuel line of power tools. I have been purchasing the Fuel line of battery tools since mid 2018, exclusively, and am always pleased with the performance.
I keep the M18 Hi-Torque impact in my Volvo semi tractor, and wanted to add this mid torque version to my Jeep Rubicon.
Just like the big impact, this mid -torque is ridiculously hold with two hands strong.
Surprisingly light weight for what it can do.
I like the peace of mind that on the 4 setting, the impact will reduce its rotational speed after it breaks the fastener loose so as not to fling it into the twilight zone when removing a nut.
The level four setting also stops around 40 ft-lbs when installing so as not to over tighten the fasteners. Then I can use a torque wrench to set the appropriate tension.
I’m an auto mechanic... this impact is perfect for 90 percent of the nuts and bolts I deal with.. every once in a while I need to bring out my M18 1/2 inch high torque but this gets the job done 90-95 percent of the time. I love it because it’s sooo much lighter than the high torque guns. It takes lug nuts off in a split second.. suspension bolts no problem. Only thing it doesent take off are cylinder head bolts but let’s be real cylinder head bolts are really tight. If I could only have one impact at work this would be it. The new tri LED’s are awesome.. that was my only complaint about Milwaukee tools... for years the yellow brand has had a better lighting design.. this new design solves that problem. if you’re looking for a gun you can use all day and take 95 percent of what you encounter apart than this is it.
Our shop uses four 3/8" drive impacts and a two of the 1/2" impacts. The 3/8" impacts last about 3 1/2-4 years and then are wore out. I hope this new mid-torque will last at least that long. So far it has been working great. Lots of torque, more than some of our other cordless 1/2" drives Our biggest gripe with these guns are the batteries and the connections. They are just to loose and after a while the connections get wore out and the cases break.
I am a professional / avid DIY person. I don't use this tool on industrial equipment, because I work on cars, trucks, and SUVs. I also am a trailer mechanic, which means I keep the tractor trailers in check and fix airbags and anything else. I'm in the agricultural side of otr tractor trailer maintenance. This tool is amazing! I've seen youtube reviewers break loose 650ft lbs of reverse torque with this. I'm happy with my mid torque!!
My fellow employees have the earlier version of this impact. I was going to purchase the same one but then I saw this one and read the reviews. It's a little shorter to fit in tighter spots with the same amount of breakaway torque. It has more running torque. The lights are next to if not perfect. Aimed directly at the he bolts or nuts you are working with. Very nice impact. Glad I purchased this one. "Milwaukee" Great tools.
Ive used many different brands of power tools and electric impacts, but this thing is a game changer. It has completely replaced my 1/2in air impact and is cheaper, more powerful, and has a better warranty than its direct competitors in my trade (Snap on, Matco, Mac, DeWalt, Etc) After buying this and using my m12 tools as well, i swear by milwaukee and they will always have my business!!
Definitely a must have in my arsenal. I’m in the maintenance field and pairing this gun with the Milwaukee impact sockets is the perfect combo. I work in the maintenance industry and no bolt has a chance even when they’re coated with frozen syrup. This gun doesn’t think twice to break things free meaning it’s less time fighting fasteners and faster repair time to keep production going.
I've owned several Milwaukee Fuel tools and needed to purchase a 3/8" impact. I was worried that the Mid-Torque would be too powerful and break things. I was pleasantly surprised at just how manageable the power is and if I really need ALL of the torque, it's right there with the press if a button. I am extremely pleased and will continue to buy more Milwaukee Fuel tools as I need to

This thing is the absolute nut buster in a 3/8 impact. * snap on and all the tool trucks. This thing will change your life. Want a new wife? You got her right here. Kids are *, no need to worry this thing will take care of them too. Is your old boss an idiot? Well f him too and let him watch his world burn around him as you take off that stubborn lug nut or that steering gear bolt.
Absolutely beautifully constructed and engineered. Out of the dozens of tools I've bought from Milwaukee over the years, i have never had a issue with any of them. Milwaukee tools are always built sturdy and reliable, they last longer and work stronger than any other battery powered tools I've ever used. My absolute favorite brand of power tools and hand tools alike.
I have not used it in the field yet, but it has amazing torque ratings. A little pricey as are the batteries. I took advantage of sales incentives. No special reason I chose Milwaukee other than I picked up a used impact driver at a pawn shop that caught my eye....I decided to keep all my tools red after that so batteries and chrgers would interchange.

I used this on my Sierra 1500 with no issues. I was really impressed at its ability to back the lug nuts off. It operates very smooth with practically no vibration in the handle. I purchased this brand because I already have several Milwaukee tools, and I didn’t need to purchase extra batteries, as I have several already. Definitely a tool worth buying!
I’ve had the m12 fuel for about 6 -7 years , and it paid it self off quickly. I use it heavily tearing down and reassembling engines. It’s great and still great , now the anvil is a bit rounded out and could be relaxed but I thought about getting this new one and it’s even better. I ve used it a lot since I purchased it and it does not disappoint.
Excellent impact wrench with useful settings 1,2,3,auto stop (100, 300, 550ftlbs) and makes quick work of stuck bolts. Lights are also very helpful working in engine bay. I like the Milwaukee sockets as well and this tool pairs well with the M18 CP3.0 for size and power. I would also recommend getting the protective boot, it fits like a glove.
I have used this impact on many projects and on vehicles too, it has plenty of torque for anything I have needed. The 4th setting with the speed reduction and hand tight setting are so convenient when you are working above the ground and either need to get fasteners started quickly or removed without dropping, there is no better tool.
I wish I could give it 5 starts but sometimes I pull the trigger and the impact does nothing. Sometimes I pull the trigger and it works. It is not as the same as my m18 1/2 impact. That works every time. I also don't know about its 600ft lb breaking power. I'm not sure if maybe the gun is faulty but I'm dissatisfied with this purchase.

3/8” impact

The tool was slightly heavier and larger than we expected but I’d buy it again in a heartbeat! Working on a disk we had bolts that we could not loosen hardly buy hand wrenches and some extra leverage, this impact zipped them off no problem on the 3 setting. Our other 3/8” impacts couldn’t get the job done with their lower torque
Long time Milwaukee tool user, that being said I was disappointed in this particular product, as I cant seem to use the thing in reverse without accidentally hitting the directional selector whilst pulling on the trigger. Not an issue I've encountered with their other products. The rest of the tool usage exceeds expectations.

Life saver and job helper

I was shown how wonderful this impact is by a friend and how keeping it with me at all times I drive if I have to change a tire it can save me time and energy of getting the job done faster and safer and it is a great addition to my work life saving time and energy when installing or removing this is a fantastic item.
For what the tool is; I couldn’t ask for anything more. It delivers 1/2” full size cordless power and accepts smaller 3/8 sockets. If you plan on doing mainly larger work you should consider the 1/2” drive version or a full size gun, but for stubborn chassis parts and equipment with rust this is a must have purchase.
Using it to tighten/loosen pipe fitting, flange bolts ,some new some old and rusty. No job to big or small. I like the different torque settings, which give you just the right amount of power and speed for what ever you're doing!! Also very compact and light weight to get into tight spots for these old arms of mine.
35 ft lbs setting does not even come close will barely turn a bolt and even in highest setting seems low on power for what was advertised but really like milwaukee tools hope just got a bad one but having problem returning because no one has stock and online virtual chat was told me they could not do anything

The power of this impact gun is incredible. I haven't found anything within reason that it cannot loosen/ remove. Made the switch from a snappy that I bought 5 years ago and I will never look back. No company makes a impact with near the power or battery life of Milwaukee. Best tool purchase in a long time.
It’s pretty much a 1/2 in drive impact in 3/8 in drive. Without the batter it feels front heavy but with a 5amp battery it balances out well. While doing what we all do with new tools, trying to find out what it will and won’t take apart. The impact broke my snap on 1/2 adapter taking off 1-1/8 in lug nuts.
Thia ia my second milwaukee impact, the first one was a different model, i like it alot, very dependable so when i damage it after 8 years had to buy another milwaukee, so i purchased this new 3/8 impact, the first couple of weeks uaing it, like it, i hace had no problems. I use this in the heavy repair
For an impact tool with a lot of vibration the area where the battery connects wears pretty fast. I use this and another 1/2 inch milwaukee impact 5 days a week and i wish that area of the tool was more robust. After less than a year it doesn't hold the battery tightly anymore. It just flops around.
The impact driver gives me all the power I need to do everyday tasks to more heavy duty applications whike working in a machine shop. The variable speeds decrease my times and improve efficiency. The size is great to prevent additional fatigue while handling or working for extended periods of time.
I bough this impact since my 1/2 milwaukee is too big for certain areas. This impact has Excellent torque. Perfect for taking drive shaft bolts on semi trucks off. Has enough torque to snap the bolts too so be careful. Additionally the small size allows usage in tight areas on trucks.
Needed a stronger impact for when 1/2 drive was just too big. This is a great unit, never thought I would like a cordless more than my air impact but I like this tool a lot. Lights are great, balance is good, so far size seems perfect with plenty of power when 3/8 is needed.
Excellent power for its size. Great features that really help the job go quicker, such as full breaking force to release a wheel nut but then slows down to stop the nut from flying across the room. The three LEDs actually do something! The light is exactly where its needed.
