Quality tool
il y a 2 ans
I have a lot of Milwaukee M18 & M12 cordless power tools some work great 90% of the time, It's the really expensive ones that give me the most trouble either the battery contacts turn black from poor alignment or the trigger seems to just stop working, When you take them to be serviced they want you to pay a labor charge for fixing a manufacturing defect. Would I recommend these tools to a friend yes but I would recommend they buy the cheapest combo kit so when they stop working there cheap enough to replace.
I work on a drilling rig and I absolutely love this thing and I’ve been using it plus other Milwaukee impacts over the years with my job! Insane amount of torque and it very rarely has any issues busting any nut loose but my only suggestion would be that Milwaukee needs to put some kind of water resistance on these things. The only thing that keeps me and my guys going back to air is that in our line of work, it’s hard to keep any kind of fluid out the tool and that’s the only thing that kills them
I was a solid believer in air tools! Until I used the Milwaukee M18 1/2" High torque impact. Just the fact the I had nothing but torque and power every time I snapped that trigger. I work in the al era oilfield, I use my tools allday, everyday. We work in hot and cold weather. Our tools take a beating, and these tools constantly perform. Would recommend to every industry worker around. Spend the money, and make the change. You will not regret this purchase.
I am a structural steel contractor. We use this tool to fasten 3/4” anchor nuts to place the steel columns at time of installation .
After 4 months of use the casing cracked and 2 of the screws used to hold the casing together sheered. This tool was not being misused or dropped.
I sent it for repair and ended paying out of pocket for the expense. If your going to advertise for use in construction I think Milwaukee should back the warranty a little more

Hard hitting impact, one key seems to have issues.

This is a super powerful impact. Doesn't get used all the time but when she does she performs. Although one day the "onekey" quit. Impact would run but it was stuck permanently in bolt removal mode. The impact had to go into the repair center. Sat there for probably 2 months until they called and said they had gave me a new impact. The new one I have recieved back hasn't skipped a beat but its only been in my hands for about a month....

Twice the power, save your air

For the money, just buy the 3/4. It definitely makes a difference. The power to take stuff off is remarkable. Its not as heavy as i thought it would be. After first charge, they charge quickly. One key isnt that hard to do. Nice fence perimeters for it also. One key should of just been for pros tho. Seperate the homeowners from commercial guys. I absolutely love the hard case it comes in. As for the warranty, thats a big ouch.
We needed to remove a total of 1064 1-3/8" plugs on a large industrial gas cooler for inspection, mind you these units have been in service, outside and untouched for 14 years since construction. This impact made quick work of the process. We originally tried doing it with a breaker bar when we were only going to remove 104 plugs, that was not going to work so we bought this (two actually). This is the right tool for the job.
This is my favorite impact gun. It’s light enough that I can use it for quite a wile before my arms get tired. It has enough torque to remove most everything I deal with daily. Usually if I run into something this gun can’t remove. I jump straight to a 1inch air impact. I have a 3/8 gun that never gets used, and a 1/2 impact that I use every once in a while. The 3/4 gun is my daily driver and it rarely disappoints.
I can't begin to say enough about this impact gun. I'm a millwirgh at a major recycling company and it's safe to say we put our tools through the harshest of conditions. Everything from grease and oil to rain and the coldest of snow. And time and time again the milwaukee 3/4 impact gun out performs our 3/4 and even 1 inch drive air impacts. If you are even thinking about buying this I would highly recommend it.
I bought this as an alternative to running my compressor in my heavy duty service truck. It not only does what my pneumatic impact can do but saves the time it would take to unreel hoses and fire up the compressor. Not to mention I can lock it out when not in used and gps track it! I ended up buying a whole fleet of Milwaukee tools. 1/2” impact, grease gun, hammer drill and impact driver and more to come.
Great product bought two of them for work. One for service truck and one for my toolbox. I replace tires on heavy trucks with them. 500 flbs no problem! Rubber cover from 1/2 inch gun is a must to keep them looking good and not damage casein lugs and studs. I do a lot of work on the side of the road one key works well. Just sent the one I bought last year in for cracked nose cone. ( no rubber cover).
This Impact is being used day after day in heavy industrial use. Product works great and performs no need to string out and trip over air lines and hoses. We have bought several impacts over the last several years, worn a few out but still have no issues buying more given how well they perform. One thing that could be improved upon would be the battery connection as that tend to be the first to fail.
These impact tools are great but in our line of work, we own 17 but we have had several break down
Basically the entire drive head breaks off tool. Some are a warranty issue and thankfully replaced by Milwaukee. We’ve had three sent sent out for repair back in June and so far only have heard of one being warranteed and replaced. However,,, we still do not know the status of the other two
I'm a ironworker (structural) face connection like 2 plate together i wil give 4 star.a knife connection 3 star (5amp battery) need to finish torque by hand. For light duty changing tire ect is ok if you put it intense service he will died on you after few min. Now I need to find a place to repair...i wish is only the switch r/f the problem . For trucker, mecanic yes.
Fiability no.....
I work in an extrusion facility, everything we work on has to have outstanding torque. Ex. nuts, bolts etc.
On an average day we use 3/4" & 1" pneumatic air guns. Until NOW! This Milwaukee 3/4" impact is a beast. We tested it against every impact at our shop, the 1" pneumatic gun couldn't even take loose the nut I tighten with the Milwaukee.. Must have tool....
This thing is a beast! So far so good and meeting my expectations. I use this on the farm handling large fasteners on tractors and other equipment where a 1/2" drive is just not enough and it makes quick work of them. Havnt had it very long so the real test is yet to come and this will be updated accordingly. Its looking positive as of right now though!
I've recently upgraded from my very early brushed units. I use them on all sorts of gear , mainly agricultural & while excellent on short bolts , long bolts with nuts that tend to be stuck after a few years of service tend to just flex. Perhaps the angle of torque duration needs to be increased to overcome the flex. But otherwise an excellent product.
We are a utility contractor installing water and sewer lines. The 3/4" impact wrench has the power required to torque down nuts and bolts consistently. The only downfall of the tool is it isn't waterproof....but then again, what power tool is. Excellent product, however, you will need a higher output battery for extended use and they are pricy.
It's got the juice to do the high torque application that I need. I work on Transit vehicles and I got it specifically for tires. Asides from getting a little hot, it has no issues taking lug nuts off without missing a beat. Plus, with the app, I was able to play with it for a little bit and dial it in to almost exactly 450 ftlbs.... Every time.
The 3/4" is a bit smaller than my 1/2" Fuel impact, a bit heavier but that is expected. This thing is a monster. I have not found a fastener it would not free. I have not yet had the chance to try it on the front axle nut on a Dodge where I have had to use a 4' cheater pipe yet, I suspect it will not be much of a issue with this beast.
Must have for for DIY projects, car repair, and eve

I needed something that could take off rusty seized on bolts so the 3/4 impact did the job and some so if you need high torque and the control this is the tool for you highly highly recommend for anyone's tool box or even a emergency tool in your truck also got a 3/4 to 1/2 impact adapter not the cheap one's either they will break!!!
3/4” Cordless M18 Impact Wrench with friction ring
il y a 2 ans
The 3/4” drive friction ring cordless impact with one key is an amazing tool. Claiming up to 1,500 foot pounds of torque. It is an extremely helpful and capable tool in the shop. Great for the nuts and bolts that nothing else can break loose. Saves the body tremendously as well in the long run. Great tool and great Job Milwaukee!
I use the milwaukee 3/4 impact all over the shop, when our 1/2 doesn't cut it anymore, I always grab the 3/4. The high torque output is second to none. I would recommend this tool to everyone in my line of work, we are a welding and repair shop so old rusty bolts are our business, and the M18 3/4 impact works great for us.
It's fine, 3/4 Ingersoll air is still far better, we have to replace this one often and it's only ever really used for 480lb/ft lug nuts. It handles them better than the 1/2, but in this bigger territory air is still king.
The convenience of electric is nice, but it doesn't have the longevity that air does yet.
Overall it is a good impact. Only downside is it was advertised as having customizable torque settings and it does not. You can customize the speed, ramp up time, light, and what they call precision mode. When asking their tech support how that translated into ftlbs of torque i was told it really doesn't.
This impact is better than any electric impact I have used and better than most air impacts. It is a beast and easy on batteries. I do Ironwork and use it almost every day on 3/4" or larger bolts. I had the 1/2" high torque Milwaukee impact and the anvil broke so I bought this 3/4" and so far, so good.
This is one powerful impact wrench. I keep a 3/4" to 1/2" adapter on mine all the time because it meets most of my needs. But it is great to get the 33mm 3/4" drive socket out to pull the wheels off my big motorhome. The ability to set power and speed makes it great for less rigorous, every day tasks.
Is an interesting tool that has truly impressed me. It combines solid performance, minimal noise, and exceptional reliability, making it a standout choice for various projects.
Performance:
This drill is a powerhouse. It effortlessly handles various materials with its adjustable speed and torque settings. Whether I'm drilling through wood, metal, or concrete, it delivers consistent and efficient results.
Is its quiet operation. It's a game-changer for those who want to work in a peaceful environment. No more deafening noise during your projects.
Reliability:
This drill feels sturdy and durable. Its ergonomic design reduces fatigue during long sessions, and the battery life is impressive, ensuring uninterrupted work.
In summary, this impact wrench is a reliable and versatile tool that's perfect for DIY enthusiasts and professionals alike. Its outstanding performance, low noise, and unwavering reliability make it a top choice for any project. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed!
So far it works great like it should. It’s plenty powerful to bust bolts and lug nuts loose. The only complaint I have is the price. It’s a bit expensive but that being said all of the other brands with a large impact like this are too. I would definitely recommend it to someone else to buy.
At work this impact is my best friend, tons of power and 100 times better then any 3/4 air impact I’ve ever used. i use a 9ah battery and it gets me threw a 10 hr shift with no issues and the one key is a great way to keep track of your tools, wish they had it on every tool Milwaukee made
