It does the job

I bought this tool a couple of weeks ago and had a chance to use it a few times. This thing works great for loosening bolts in tight spaces like the front of an engine where the fan is in the wat and a ratchet won't do it. The thing I really like about it is unlike a ratchet it won't try to pull you and crack your knuckles when you pull the trigger. This tool has plenty of power and had no trouble removing a 30/30 air brake chamber on a set of 44lbs. Rockwell axles. While this won't be my go to like the 1/2 inch high torque it does have it's place. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 was because the feel of the handle and the trigger along with the forward and reverse dont seem ergonomic the way they are placed. Overall great tool for the job where space is limited and knuckle busting is not an option

This tool definitely has a larger head than the ratchet. A little unbalanced when used with a 2ah battery but not too heavy overall. Will not try to twist your wrist when pulling the trigger. Hammer mechanism very strong and removed lug nuts from a 1 ton Dodge truck. Tightened lug nuts back on with tool and checked with a torque wrench. Lug nuts were 160ft. lbs. and I think would have achieved more if wanted. Battery life not the best with 2ah battery but will get the job done.

A niche product, but the only one that will do.

It does seem like a niche product. My son called it overkill. However, when you’re all up in that niche, you’re going to be very glad you have it.
I already owned a three-quarter stubby impact wrench, however this is much thinner by profile. I work on outdoor power equipment, and I have to be able to have power in removing fasteners that in a very confined space. Additionally, the fact that you can reverse the direction from the rear of the handle (unlike the normal ratcheting mechanism) makes it very easy to modulate the direction.
Of course it is not very well balanced, even with a large 6.0 battery all of the weight is in the head of the tool. But there are trade-offs to everything. And there is no better excuse to build up your upper arm and shoulder strength if you’re going to be using it heavily.

Awesome tool!

This is a great tool! This is not a ratchet, this is a right angled impact tool. It works awesome. My son had an issue with his car and needed to remove the transmission, tires and front axles and this tool had no problems with any of the bolts or nuts. We tested the tool for nut busting power and tried it on the lug nuts on a Chevy Tahoe with the nuts torqued at 140ft. Lbs and with a 4.0 battery it was a beast. I love this tool and would definitely recommend it.

It has its place and time

This is probably my least favorite and least used Milwaukee impact wrench. It’s definitely one of those tools that has its place and time but other than that it’s not bad but not great either. It’s definitely under powered compared to the stubby 3/8 m12 even though it is 30ft/lbs less but it honestly feels weaker than what it’s rated at no matter what battery you use. Definitely could use more power if possible is all the improvement it needs.

This tool is exceeded my expectations and totally satisfying with it's Performances and abilities. Also with dominance over the market with no Competition yet, I can only try to patiently wait for the next version to release. This tool can easily complete with my other Milwaukee traditional impacts and have different capabilities unmatched by no other than it's future version. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone No matter what the use intended is.

Could use a few updates

Purchased a year or so ago, used for multiple automotive jobs and it worked but lacked the power I was hoping for. Does great on smaller stuff but struggled on most of what I was doing. My stubby m12 3/8 impact replaced it and isn't much bulkier. The direction switch could definitely be changed to something like the right angle drill has. Way too easy to bump it with its location and style

Lackluster performance

It doesn't live up to the hype. I work in a shop with a variety of vehicles that roll through and it just doesn't live up to expectations. To note most vehicles that come through are less then 10 years old.. Brake calipers and motor mounts are the main items I use it for and it just won't brake the suv's or the truck calipers free. As for motor mounts, I've had it not been able to undo a honda with no load on the bolt and no extensions. I have to break out my 3/8 wratchet and usually just run it with that. It does fit in smaller places but I keep going back to a wratchet or breaker bar because it can't break it free. Overall I love the concept and the size but I don't recommend this angled impact due to its lack of power. If I could return this to the vendor I would due to the lack of performance but it's not worth it with the 15%-20% restocking fee. Save your money and wait for a more powerful one.

Great tool

First off I was iffy because it was M12. I just recently started buying M12 for the size and ease of tight spots. This tool is awesome for motor work and working on industrial pumps, it works best with 3AH and up. I use the M12 ratchet first and then torque everything down with this! It has its place in my tool box just like my 1/2 high torque and everything in between

Highly Recommended Tool

It’s awesome just like all my other Milwaukee tools aside from that it’s a pretty strong compact yet has settings for lighter duty work wish I would have had it 20 years ago lol……highly recommended whether you work on light or heavy duty things you will find it saving you time and hassle for sure no doubt. I use mine all the time since day 1 no issues

Under powered...

Under powered. Tried it with a new 2.5 high output then with a 4.0 then with a 6.0 and did notice a power increase (louder noise and higher vibration) but not what they claim. Used it to remove some A/C compressor bolts between engine and chassis. Ended up breaking them loose with a long 3/8 ratchet and then with the 90 degree impact.

Strong right angle impact

Paired with the 5ah HO battery this thing can do a lot of what need daily. The variable trigger is always handy With the torque settings to allow install without over tightening nuts and bolts. The head is a little bulky but its strength makes up for it where other cordless ratchets fall short. Overall great tool to have.

If you are a fan of the 3/8 ratchet wrench, I would highly recommend this tool. It has plenty of power for 3/8 drive. Due to the head size, it does not fit in tight places like the ratchet wrench does, but I still believe this is a 5 star tool. You will not regret this purchase if you use it as it is designed for!

Time saver

This Milwaukee M12 3/8” right angle impact wrench has been a life saver, being a older mechanic I’m not a strong as I once was, this 90* impact has save me time and energy. Great tool. Not every day use

Tool is great but the friction ring is already wearing out I’ve only use it for a couple of weeks so far. I’m a mechanic who works on small cars so I dont use it as much as I wish I did but it’s gtg when I need it. I still love it and I do wish these type of tools power and size keep improving with time

I know it's only a M12 tool, but I would have figured it would have a lot more power than it does. I had to use a breaker bar or my Snap-On 14.4V Impact Wrench to break the bolts or nuts loose first. And if it's in a tight spot, the reason why this tool was made, then it's hand tools all the way.

Solid and Tough

Solid tool. Slim head coupled with a low profile impact socket allows us to access tight spaces. Particularly on manifolding. Rugged tool with lots of torque. I expected it to be a bit awkward but the tool is very well balanced with the M12 battery. I will be adding more of these to my shop.

Almost perfect

There’s not much to say , UTS A MILWAUKEE, but tow issues that did surprise me when I actually used it. First being the weight of the wrench. It’s a lot more heavier than I was expecting. Second issue that I found was that it is actually quite slow. But other than that it is worth the price.

Absolutely love this, building unistrut racks with 3/8 and 1/2 inch bolts it saves so much time! Perfectly strong, even after checking a few bolts by hand I had full confidence to work all day without hand checking again. Pretty sure it could easily snap bolts if you wanted it to.

Amazing tool in my opinion

I think when you're looking for an impact but can't get in there, this will absolutely solve the issue. I'd pair this with a 3/8 cordless ratchet for those even tighter places. I grab those on brake jobs, anytime doing pulleys or anything in the engine bay. Perfect in my opinion

Perfect tool to remove Ford Triton V8 spark plugs

This is a great solution for removing seized spark plugs on the infamous Ford V8 3-valve engine. This tool is small enough to access the back side “hard to get to” spark plugs and rattle them out gently after soaking them in carb cleaner !!! Milwaukee answers the call !!!

Amazing Tool

Awesome Awesome tool….. I wish I would have purchased one of these before my 3/8 ratchet as I find myself using this one more often. The auto control feature is amazing and I have yet to find a nut on a vehicle this will not break loose. Makes Transmisson jobs quick.

Would have rather bought a different ratchet for the money. In certain uses I could see it being useful. However working on industrial power I am not a fan. The only reason I grab this over my M12 ratchet is because I like the ease of going from loosen to tighten

Good for tough spots an impact wrench can't get

It's a decent tool for removing some tough bolts. I feel like there could be more torque force. I guess I should have bought the 1/2 inch but from the YouTube videos it seems to be under rated for torque too. The ability to reach things with the tool is amazing.

Finally bought this impact because I had big job it would save a ton of time. Best purchase in a long time it has plenty of power to remove and tighten 5/8” bolts checked torque after finishing and they were all over 150 lb/ft great tool so glad I bought it!

Dodge Back seat Bolt killer!

This is the perfect compliment to your tool arsenal. This made short work of some rusted on trailer axle hardware. A standard impact gun would not fit in the space but this right angle one is perfect. Delivered plenty of power to get the job done.

MUST HAVE TOOL

Amazing tool! The versatility of it is unbeatable. I've used many air right angle impacts and nothing compares. If your and auto mechanic it's a must have for your toolbox. A smaller head one would be nice but have yet to have a clearance issue.

Tight spots

I have the high, mid, and low torque impacts from milwaukee. I bought this one for those tight spots you cant get a standard style impact. It works flawless, just like the rest of my milwaukee tools. Another great innovation by milwaukee tools!
