Second charge on this battery and it gives the red/green flashing indicator. Occasional homeowner use. Seems to be an ongoing problem with this battery model. Everything I read indicates it will be replaced with the same model of hot garbage battery. Don't even think about buying this one.

I love Milwaukee but this battery has me disappoin

I use the 6.0 and power battery pack on a half inch Drive Impact ratchet never even got 6 months out of the battery and the tab that locks the battery in to the tool is cracked very disappointed in this battery I have the 4.0 battery pack and it's like it's made out of tougher plastic.

Thease batteries are excellent.

Have no problem sinking 4" deck screws in 6" x 6" treated wood with an M12 drill and 6.0 battery. Just as fast as my M18 does. Huge differance with thease batteries. Initial charge took close to 70 minutes. After that all was goid.
I will be buying more.
⬇ Man needs a new charger.

Don't buy!!!!! I only used it a few times over the last year or so and today like most others went to charge and got the famous red and green flashing on charger. I own a lot of Milwaukee products and batteries and this specific battery doesn't represent the Milwaukee product well

Don't buy, listen to the other reviews

I have had two of these die. Never had another Milwaukee battery of any type die before. The second died outside of warranty and the repair cost exceeds the purchase price. Both did the same thing, put on any charger and get the dreaded green and red flashing without charging it.

Based on my experience wouldn't buy this product.

XC6.0 purchased as additional battery with purchase of Pruning Saw, XC4.0 Battery and Battery Charger. XC6.0 has never performed equal to the XC4.0. It does not charge effectively or hold a charge. Before writing this review, I checked other reviews with similar poor experiences.

It Died.

Charged this battery maybe only 10 or 15 times and today I used it in the multi tool and it died. Won’t charge at all. It’s a shame considering how much I paid for this battery but after reading all these negative reviews it looks like I’m not the only one having the issue!

I thought it was crazy that my battery just died for no reason. Yes I've dropped other batteries and they kept working, this one wasn't dropped and it just stopped. Glad to know I wasn't the only one. Defective manufacturing for the lot. Let's get this resolved Milwaukee.

Short life big price worked good for a short time.

Not many hours of use and failed. Worked great for a short time. I have no idea where I got it for warranty receipts... Have a bunch of Milwaukee tools and very happy with most. But I don't know when and where I got all of them. Sad a very pricey battery fails so fast..

I would not buy this product again

I would not buy this product again. I’ve had this six hour battery for a few months now and I have barely used it and I put it on the charger and all I get now is red and green flashing lights will not charge. Super disappointed. It was a good battery when it work.

A Good Purchase!

Built a deer stand just after I bought this and just about built the whole thing with just this battery. Cutting, drilling and driving screws. Sad to hear of the other person's problems with his batteries. I have had very good luck with all Milwaukee batteries.

Avoid bad battery

Battery in new condition and hardly ever used since purchased. Doesn’t charge no matter what charger. I have plenty of m12 tools and batteries but this one is bad just like everyone else says about it. Can’t find how to warrant the battery so I left a review.

I would stay away from this battery

I use this in all my m12 tools. Especially my under body lights. I bought 6. Out of the 6 I have replaced 5 and am still getting problems when the battery goes low I put in charger and red green light flashes and will not charge no matter what charger I use.

Go for the XC 5.0 HO

Bought 3 months ago and have used it many times, but trying to charge it last week, blinks green and red. Tried 2 other chargers to make sure. Won’t take a charge. Buy the XC5.0 HO instead. Bought this at a time when the place I was at was out of 5.0 HOs.

I have several Milwaukee tools and about 12 batteries M12 and M18 that I have no problem with but the M12 XC 6 I have two of them they have the green and red flashing light of death. Only used them a few times.

locking tabs just will not last.

the battery as far as output and cell longevity has been great. its the locking tabs ive had trouble with. since new the battery has rattled around and makes the impact stop.finally the tabs broke. i have a xc 4,0 and 2 6.0 batteries with broken tabs.

I have had 2 of these 6.0 amp batteries for little over 1 and 1/2 years and both of them are flashing bad. They have had diy use and still don't have the quality I aspect from milwaukee. I have muiltple m12 tools and love the line not this batteries.

Would be a great battery if it was charging proper

Would be a great battery if it was working with all M12 chargers.
Had a great power and runtime, but works only with one out of three charger models that I have. Two others show that the battery is broken. And yes, they work with other batteries.

They are absolutely amazing, I have 3 and they last so long. Keep one on my drill till it dies, charge lasts a week then I switch to a second one I keep charged in my bag and same thing. Absolutely no issues. Looking forward to trying out the 5.0.

was using the 12 volt sander for somewhat extended use on level 4 and the tabs on two sets of batteries severed, seems fine on level 3 but extended use on level 4 knocked the very tip of the tab off. rendering the battery mostly inoperative.

Would not honor warranty

Battery died after 1 year of use, where smaller batteries still work. Followed the warranty process and sent it in, they denied repair even though I included proof of purchase and the battery was supposed to be covered by a 3 year warranty.

Bad batteries

Love the tools but the batteries are crap. Have bought six of the 12v , and three are bad. And if you didn’t buy them from one of their ‘authorized dealers’ they will warranty them. They will say they were tampered with or counterfeit.

Plumber. Battery Approx 18 months old. General fastening use, rotated with my other batteries. M12 red lithium XC 6.0 Flashing red in charger already. This battery is with a whole new line of tools, truck was stolen 18 months ago.

Battery Failure

Like many others, the battery now has the red and green flashing of death after low usage basic residential tasks. The battery was purchase in late 2021. The Milwaukee website is difficult to find how to request free warranty returns.

Didn't last nearly long enough.. maybe 25 charges

Purchased 12/19 this battery was sparingly used and charged only about 25 times. Now it won't take a charge and is basically junk. Probably would NOT recommend these. Stick to the 4.0 amp hour ones that are still fine after 2+ years.

Bad battery do not buy. I bought 2x of the 6.0s for the m12 shop vac and both are now failed. None of my 3.0 or smaller m12s have failed, and I have many more cycles on them. Never had any of my 20v dewalt batteries fail either.

Poorly designed M12 battery

Haven’t had this battery very long, usually by the M1, but one of the extended M2 for a smaller tool I had and the battery does not stay seated in the tool. I have to hold it in when I’m using it I would not recommend it.

Slowing switching from the yellow platform to red. Bought 3 XC6.0 batteries. In less than six months 2 of the batteries have failed. Flashing red/green when on the charger. Never had this issue with yellow batteries.

Junk compared to other batteries

One month out of warranty on a battery with light usuals and it's done. I think it was failing for a while but I didn't notice due to mainly using M18 and just used this one occasionally on the few M12 tools I have.
