Guess I have to?

il y a 2 ans
I am a rough-in wireman and I love my m12 fuel tools for this. I bought 3 xc6.0 batteries to complement my cp2.0 and 1.5s. They still fit with my m12F hammer drill and impact drive in my dead on pouch. Awesome. After rotating everyday between my m18f and m12f one of my m12 6.0 batteries decided to die which is a pain since I now have to take batteries off the circular or hackzall. 66% reaching 6 months seems pretty dismal. My xc4.0 battery had lasted 5 years so I kind of scratch my head on this one. Not to mention Milwaukee needs to make their warranty process much more streamlined. PITA. Am I going to yellow? Hell no, I’m a Milwaukee-blooded-American. It just sucks to e experience a failure so soon from Milwaukee.

Don’t spend your hard earned money

il y a 2 ans
I bought this battery 10-13 months ago because it was the largest capacity m12 battery available to use with my M12 circular saw. I don’t use either much as I am a DIY’r and currently live in an apartment. Unfortunately after very few charges this battery no longer charges. I’ve tried different Milwaukee charges, different electrical outlets, and made sure the battery is fully seated into the charger. It simply flashes red/green. This is the second Milwaukee battery I’ve had an issue with. I have been a Milwaukee customer for at least 20 years but I feel now I am starting to see a possible decline in quality. I hope I’m wrong as I love Milwaukee tools and what you get with them. Unfortunately this particular product is one of the bad ones.

Expensive failure

il y a 2 mois
I have many of the various m12 batteries, but only have one XC 6.0 batteries and the XC 6.0 failed me in no time! I'm very careful on how I care for my batteries and the XC 6.0 gives me green and red flashing lights. I tried making sure the contacts are clean and the battery was seated all the way...even tried 2 different charger. This battery is so expensive and failed with little use, entirely unacceptable....what is going on with these batteries? I use to trust Milwaukee and was willing to pay for quality, now that trust is quickly eroding.

Ears on all m12 battery breaks.

il y a 4 ans
Bad design of m12 battery system. The ear breaks and falls off tool during use afterwards. I have at least 6 batteries now all with broken ears. What’s worst is that Milwaukee factory repair can’t even fix that saying the only option is buying a new battery!!! Extremely frustrating. I have to tie a thick elastic around the battery and tool now and the tool still shuts of part way thought the job because even if the battery slips off 1mm the tool will stop due to the sensitivity connection of the temp sensor. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS MILWAUKEE.

Extremely Disappointing

il y a 2 ans
I’ve been using Milwaukee for years. The 6.0 is necessary for use in my 3/8 impact as I’m a mobile mechanic by trade. Between the batteries lasting 3-4 months before giving me the flashing red and green lights of death or the tabs breaking so they don’t stay in the tool, I’m at a loss. Never have I experienced such poor quality. I have the original M18 1/2 impact that finally died on me last week after 7 years of abuse, I went to the store and HAPPILY bought another one because it’s worth it. These batteries are trash, don’t waste your money.

M12 6.0Ah battery gave out too soon.

il y a un an
Like everyone else that stated, this battery started blinking red and green just after a few month. The serial is located on the bottom, it's above the red Milwaukee sticker label. All the letters and digits after the 72Wh Li-ion is the SERIAL NUMBER. So when trying to return using the Milwaukee online enter the first 8 letters & numbers add a space then the 6 digit number (the first 2 number of this is the year the battery was manufactured, the second set is the month, the third is the day) add another space then the last remaining 7/8 digits are the actual manufacturing sequence number. Enter as is shows on the battery, simply but don't forget the spaces. Just thought that would help any future individuals trying to figure out the serial number.

Very Poor Quality

il y a un an
I have two of the XC6.0 batteries, and initially though they were great. Less than a year old with 2 charges and both batteries have failed. One suddenly stopped working in the middle of a job, and now flashes green and red on the charger. The other stops working occasionally, and will alternate flashing the power inductor on the tool. Hopefully I can get them replaced under warranty, but from what I have heard, I will just receive the same poor quality product that will let me down in the middle of a job. Very disappointed.

**DO NOT BUY***BATTERY WILL FAIL****

il y a un an
This battery will fail. It is a common and known problem. Owned it about a year and only charged it twice. (Both times the pack was charged before being completely dead with one out of four lights of power remaining) when I went to charge a third time I kept getting a bad battery pack light. After undocking and docking the pack on the charger a few times it finally started charging. It only charged halfway. This is a known issue. The cells in these battery packs die quickly. Search Google or YouTube. Do not purchase theses.

6.0 amp battery won't charge!!!!!!

il y a 3 mois
Sorry, but if Milwaukee knows about this and is not fixing the issues, that is a very rotten business practice. I have a dead one as well that was hardly used. Of course, I started using it more frequently about 6 months ago with issues and the date is just over 3 years old, but...I purchased it long after that. Still looking for my receipt and won't give up till I find it. I've got lots of M12 tools and batteries, but this battery is the only one that gave me an issue, aka it's dead and won't charge. For the money that I spent, it leaves one a tad bitter. I will be rethinking the M12 platform as what's next, the 4 amps stop working???? Milwaukee, you make some fine tools and make serious money on them, but you gotta do better. I'm a contractor for over 30 years.

I have 3 in total. 2 went bad. flashing light of death. very light use. in the process of sending them in under warranty. Obviously this is a problem, why are you still selling these? its like the m18 9.0. Really hoping they just replace mine with the HO 5.0 instead. seems like a few have been successful in getting those as replacements instead of sending out more fault xc 6.0s. they just end up failing again. check reddit and youtube. why Milwaukee? why? you know theyre bad. do the right thing.

Don’t recommend, shocked at these reviews.

il y a un an
Bought this battery a few months ago for full price and only started using it recently. Right away I noticed the capacity was much less than my 4.0’s and after a few uses it won’t even hold charge anymore. At first I thought it was a defective battery but after seeing all these reviews I’m starting to believe this is just a bad product and I wouldn’t have bought this battery had I seen these reviews. Milwaukee, you guys can do better than this. My 4.0’s have been great this product is not acceptable.

Very Confused

il y a 11 mois
I purchased this battery in 2022 as part of a kit and have only used in in things like a hood light, and the right angle die grinder, but I went to charge it the other day and it started to charge normally but when I checked on it, the charger was flashing red and green. After researching this issue, it seems it's incredibly common, and has been going on for a number of years. I'm fairly disappointed in this battery's life compared to my smaller 2.0s and 3.0s that I use just as frequently.

Two XC6.0 With Same Issue

il y a 9 mois
I have different m12 from 1.5ah up to 6.0ah. Both of the xc6.0 I have came with a tool purchase. They are now both flashing red and green on the m12/18 charger, the rapid charger, and the simple m12 charger. All my other batteries work flawlessly and they are older and abused. This is clearly not a coincidence and I used both of the batteries separately with different tools as I have been doing with all of my other batteries. I believe I am within a month of the 3 year warranty period and I hope Milwaukee can do right by replacing both of these with a revised version. If not, I will gladly take (3) xc4.0 in good faith as a fair exchange. (6ah + 6ah = 4ah + 4ah +4ah) I just submitted a claim for both batteries and will be shipping them out shortly. I don’t want to hear this “out of warranty” bs.

6.0 m12 is a disgrace to the Milwaukee name

il y a un an
I bought 6 of these in late 2021 and they are all junk. I successfully warrantied one a year ago. I am waiting for the rest to be turned in to send back, but I just sent 1 more in and was denied warranty due to its age. When putting the serial number in it says it was produced in 1980. Same as the last one I turned in. All of my 3.0s work flawlessly. Milwaukee knows there is an issue with these and should stand behind their products. Just take a look at the rest of the reviews.

Works well, but they fail often.

il y a un an
Didn't last long. I've had 3-4 of these batteries and they don't seem to do well long term. I have 4.0 versions that are twice as old and still going strong. Seems be a common theme for the 6.0 version given the reviews here. They also don't seem to give any warning when they fail, and do so completely in that the battery takes no charge, and doesn't show any signs of losing power, it just dies totally. Try to put it on the charger and you get the red/green fast blink.

50-50 chance on getting a good battery

il y a 2 ans
I have ten of the 6.0 batteries and only five will charge. 3 of them are less a year old. I’ve got plenty of 3.0 and 4.0 batteries that I’ve had for years and none of them have ever flashed red and green. There is obviously a big problem with the 6.0 batteries considering every negative review is the same red and green flashing problem. I have invested so much money in both the 18 and 12 volt lines that it would cost me many thousands of dollars to switch brands.

Don't hesitate if you want power

il y a 2 ans
I use this battery mainly in my M12 flashlights or radio just so that I always have enough power to finish up without needing a charger. I have 2 of these and one had a warranty issue. Milwaukee tool took care of the issue easily. So I wanted to give it a fair review. All honesty 2 3ah battery packs seem to have more power than this single 6ah. This is very true if I use it with my M12 5 3/8 Circular saw. I would honestly say that I would rather have 4) 3ah m12 battery packs than 2 6ah batteries. Just my opinion. I probably own over 30 different m12 and m18 batteries. My 2 6ah packs have thier place however my favorite m12 battery is the 3ah Extra capacity not the compact. The 2ah compact is my favorite compact battery. Milwaukee tools warranty is unprecedented and exactly why I invested so heavily into my future.

I have ten M12 tools and I use any combo of them on any given day. So I can't have enough batteries. This one is great the life is long. However after I owned for 4 or more yearsi got the green/red light flash. I found that one off the 3 tabs in the front of the battery was slightly bent in. Using a small flat head I gently bent back into place and it started changing again. I found some complaints about this in the reviews. Maybe this will help.

I got around 5 charges, and now it just blinks red and green on the charger and won’t charge! il y a 5 ans
Used this battery in my 1/2 stubby impact. Make the tool very useful with run time and power. Working with a impact wrench on machinery you are everywhere on it and set tools down wherever. Sometimes they fall down. The very first time the impact fell with the battery installed the tabs broke off and cracked housing. Maybe 4 foot fall. Had XC 3ah also crack and tabs broke off. Never a problem with compact m12 batteries or my m18 batteries.

Qc and Warranty lacking.

Once again. Milwaukee warranty proves itself to be useless. Several of these batteries have randomly stopped charging. I notice it seems to be the more recent ones I've purchased. Quality control seems to of diminished at Milwaukee Tools. Knowing are under 3 years old, they deny warranty because no receipt of purchase was provided. That's is a horrible excuse to deny warranty when your products have serial numbers. Do better Milwaukee.

I was using this battery with my M12 5 3/8 circular saw or a M12 Work light. It was almost dead whenever I initially opened up the packaging. It was never able to be recharged by any other charger than Milwaukee tools slowest 12 volt charger and would show broken battery when plugged into a M18/M12 Rapid Charger. Worst 6.0ah battery I've ever owned. I grabbed 2 to use with my drill and impact, but they didn't survive the first recharge. They charged fine the first time, but as soon as I tried to recharge them, the charger blinked "bad pack" and wouldn't charge them. I tried 6 or7 different chargers plugged into 4 or 5 different outlets at 2 separate locations to completely rule out charger/outlet issues. Absolutely do NOT recommend these.

This makes your m12 tools work like they’re on steroids. The unfortunate part is if you ever drop that tool, the lock tabs break off and the battery pack no longer grips the tool. Poor plastics quality makes this battery pack very very fragile. To add to that, the local service Center is Monday to Friday and is only open during regular business hours. This means I need to take time off of work to get my tools serviced.

I bought the XC6.0 for the added run time and honestly for the job site radio/charger. Just so I wouldn’t have to change out the battery during the day. All my other Milwaukee batteries, a couple of which were purchased around the same time, still work and charge just fine but this one just ate the dust and it doesn’t even leave the radio. These are BAD batteries. Don't Buy

il y a 2 ans
These are the worst batteries Milwaukee still produces only exceeded in history by the notoriously bad M18 9.0 batteries. I've had to return four for warrantee replacement as I got the dreaded flashing red and green lights of death on relatively new and very lightly used batteries. Even Milwaukee's technical people acknowledge that there is a problem with this battery. The 4.0, and XC don't share these problems.

If you are looking for a replacement/extra battery, spend the extra few dollars and buy the 6.0, you won’t be disappointed. I can easily use the stubby impact for a day or two without recharging them. The runtime definitely exceeded my expectation, even with the hackzall, which goes through batteries fast when cutting steel.
