This vacuum has the power and it works well. I love that this is the only brand with so many useful attachments. Does it suck? Yes, it will literally suck whatever you want to pick up. One issue that I have with it though. There’s no way to plug this into an ac outlet. The biggest battery I have is 6ah and even on low, this vacuum doesn’t last long so I end up rotating between 3 6ah batteries, using 1 while 2 charge on a dual port supercharger to keep this power hungry vacuum from dying. Please Milwaukee, make an AC adapter that will fit into the battery ports. It would really help on projects where the shop vac is needed for an extended period of time :D

Milwaukee M18 6 gallon vacuum cleaner to clean car

Nice lightweight vacuum that I will use primarily for vacuuming my vehicles. I have one primary driver and 3 show cars that need to be kept very clean for shows. I like how I can remove the vacuum from the base and easily carry it to my outbuildings where some of the cars are stored.
I had a small portable vacuum cleaner made by a competitor and it lacked the suction power to do a proper clean. The Milwaukee M18 fuel vacuum has plenty of suction and also runs very quiet.
The only thing I might like would be the availability of a 1-1/4" hose that would be easier to use in the tight quarters of a small sports car.
Excellent power and functionality. All the tools can be carried on board, excellent suction, and a 2-speed suction capability! I gave it a full test with an 8Ah battery to see how long it would run, for a 'real world' test. It went for 17 ½ minutes on HIGH speed and while the last (one) bar was flashing I turned it off. You can figure a full 18 minutes on HIGH! I use in my DIY garage/shop and in my truck, with the hose that's plenty long enough to tackle any job. No more dragging 20 feet of hose from my AC shop vac in the back of my shop. Now, I just take my M-18 Shop Vac to the task!
Great Vac, but horrible that it doesn't have a cord too. It is absurd that you offer a corded motor head instead. I know a few contractors that have spoken their mind about this. Let's use some common sense. I'd be glad to help if you need someone in engineering who has actually used the tool being designed. I like your stuff, but remember who your target demographic is. Intelligent hard working people that can identify when a company is trying too hard to get you to spend unnecessary money. My toolbox is all black and red, but it's up to you to keep it that way.
Ive been investing in milwaukee for years due to their high quality tool. I bought this shop vac after my non milwaukee vac broke. I wanted cordless to keep a neater work environment in my garage when im doing my woodworking hobby...i plug it straight to my miter and scroll saw as well as mu sander and it does a phenomenal job while also being a lot quiter then those rigids. I use it with the vacuum bags from wilwaukee and theyre a great fit. The hose is really sturdy and it glides very smoothly.
All this shop vac is good for is picking up dust! Being a big buyer of Milwaukee tools I was excited to finally get this vac to add to the list of tools. After using it I have nothing but issues. House gets clogged, wont suck up screws, wont even pick up small pieces of copper from electrical installs. Also the run time is very minimal even with a 9.0 battery you get about 10 mins of vacuuming before it dies. I should have stuck with my Pack Out one. A LOT CHEAPER AND DOES A BETTER JOB.

Just the right size...

No complaints, perfect size and power. I have been using it as a wet vac to clean up storm seepage into an unfinished basement; using a 6 amp hour battery, I have yet to use more than one bar to finish that job.
They seem to be using a softer plastic rather than the old hard plastic and the new version keeps the wands and hose from coming apart during use. Light enough that even an old/sickly man can empty the tank into a basement sink without making a mess. Highly recommended.
I have only used a couple times, but the first time I really put it thru the test. One of our clients had their flagpole shift out of plumb, so this meant vacuuming the wet sand out from around it. This vacuum worked as good as a corded vacuum without the hassle of pulling a cord. Usually play sand is used, but in this instance the installers had used limestone sand, which is a heavier sand, so the vacuum had to work even harder. I would purchase again
