Works really good around the job cleaning up small messes while doing door hardware other miscellaneous items. The bad thing was I accidentally sucked up a little bit of water and both bearings froze up it was no good anymore. So I went and bought 2 1/2 gallon wet dry vacuum fuel and I’m gonna use the accessories from this vacuum.
Vacuum works well - when it works. Even with a fully charged, NEW battery, the vacuum has a mind of it's own as to when it wants to function, and for how long it wants to function. Tool is completely unreliable. Milwaukee needs to redeem the brand by doing something about this obvious problematic tool carrying their name.

Needs to be brushless

Its your most compact and most powerful suction portable vacuum for quick cleanups in small areas. I love it. But the brushes wear out, as many other comments point out. It just stops working. I want you guys to release this SAME VACUUM as brushless. I dont want to keep buying it over and over. Give us what we want. Thanks.
Another great Milwaukee tool for my office. We purchased this to clean the floors in our new offices at our warehouse. It’s not too heavy, the suction is great and it’s very easy to empty. It’s perfect for what we need. I’ve also used the other attachments to clean out drawers and tight areas. I’d highly recommend it!
Used this vacuum to quickly clean around the house after the kids, in the car etc...
For no reason the vacuum started to stop for no reason, about 30 seconds each time, then re-start for 20-30 seconds and shut off again, and again and again. The vacuum don't have 1 year old yet and its already good for the garbage.

Vacuum shut down

As a carpenter/renovator, this little vacuum comes in handy on final cleanup of a job. But as others mention, full battery (5.0ah), it always shuts off. Very irritating. What is the solution? I always minimize the amount if dust for this vacuum. Its just used for minor finish cleanup so the filter isn't clogged up.

This tool gets first call every time I need to clean any awkward area--inside tight spaces, around awkward spaces/objects. Rugged, reliable, and an impressive poerformer. No dustbuster...this guy really sucks...and that's a good thing! My wife borrowed it recently and wants a new "clean" one for herself at home.
Love this little vacuum!! I did have an issue with the trigger going bad about 6 months after use. I sent it to Milwaukee and they sent me a brand new one no questions asked. Their warranty and customer service is the best in the business! That's why I'll always buy Milwaukee products over anything else!!
I'm using this with an M18 HD 9.0 battery. Makes it a little heavy, but I've used it for about 20 minute and still have all 4 lights. The suction is very good, it picks up as well as my small corded vac. The accessories are good quality,and allow using the vac standing up. This is now my go-to vac.
Vacuum is great. I bought it for my vehicle. It does not come with a case or bag to keep it all together. The box is not convenient to keep it in as it opens from the short side. M18 battery runs for about an hour fully charged. Also has a lock switch to use it without holder the trigger down.
It makes a nice portable vacuum that performs well for its size. The attachments that come with it pretty much cover all of the bases. The biggest issue is that it only runs for a few minutes before shutting itself off. Give it a few minutes and it will start back up, but repeats the cycle.
I got this vac like it when it work but just like another person mine shut off after a min of running then cool off an run for another min. Like to figure y because it does seem like it would b great. All the rest of my tools from them are awsome. Hope i can get sum way ti resolve it.
I came here to see if others were having the same issue with this vac. It runs for a minute or so, and then it won’t turn back on for several seconds. Lo and behold! This seems to be a very common problem. Would love to know if there is a fix other than putting it in the trash!
I am a huge fan of Milwaukee product line owing almost every tool they make. The Compact vacuum has been a huge disappointment as it shuts over every 20-25 seconds for no apparent reason. I would either like this repaired or get my money back as it is quite honestly unusable. Dan

Never worked

Purchased as a christmas gift for my wife.
First one worked for 5 minutes.
Returned and replaced by our distributor.
2nd one didn't work at all and appeared to have been a used unit re-packaged.
Distributor has not responded with a third.
VERY disappointed with product.

can it work for more then 5 minets

I bought it at markham industrial tools it worked for a while when it sat for 5 min it stops working. so i went back to the store and switched it out for a new one and it died the same day to. I have a lot of milwaukee tools and the quality seems to be slipping lateley.
I've tried many different batteries in this vacuum, yet it is very weak. I am a huge fan of Milwaukee products and this purchase will not deter me from buying more products from your company in the future. I am just very disappointed in this tool and this purchase.

Compact and powerfull missing accessories

Only a few words - Fantastic / size great for mobility, powerful for a battery powered vac - most powerful - I have had 3 other brands in the past. Wish it had a dust brush ( if you are smart - check out home depot vac accessories they have ones that fit perfectly
I bought mine new in 2017 and have always battled the intermittent shut offs. Works for 30 secs, then shuts off. I have to wait a minute or so to get another 30 seconds of work out of it. Wish I could take it back. The only Milwaukee tool I own that I dread using.
It worked perfect for a few months, but one day after a couple hours of used it stop working, after opening the vacuum I found that the fan and the switch still good, the problem is on the electronics right before the trigger, this is not good for construction.

One of my favorite tools

Just an all around well thought out tool. I use it on job site. With the two extension pieces and floor attachment you can clean up hard surface floors in no time. I use the use attachment for cleaning vehicles. Just a great tool for pro's and homeowners.
I didn't make it through one battery before it stopped working. I tried multiple batteries that worked in my drill and impact driver. Nothing. Maybe the switch? Either way, I sent it off for repair. Back to getting in trouble for using the house vacuum.

Loved it until it started shutting off!

I really love the vacuum cleaner but I’m wishing I saw the reviews before I bought it. Started shutting off by itself. Would have to wait for a while and then turned back on to work for a short while and do the same. Very frustrating and disappointing!

I have had to buy 2 of these and within 2 months of using them? They both broke !! I should have known better than to buy another one after the first one stopped working after 4 months and these are NOT CHEAP but they are MADE CHEAP!! DO NOT BUY !!

Product works well for a small window. then shuts off randomly, it usually starts back up after you let it sit for a few seconds. Just cuts off frequently. I like I have vacuum in the m18 line but with the issues I don't think its worth the money.

great little powerful vacuum

why does the unit shut off after a few minutes of use with a fully charged battery? By removing the battery and re-stalling it, the vacuum works. But then after a few minutes, it shuts down again. Fully charged batteries and new filter installed.
Excellent product! It has fantastic suction and overall the unit is lightweight given the performance. Works better than some of my full-size shop vacuums. 10 out of 10 highly recommend! Only criticism would be for Milwaukee to include a brush tip.
I am a trim carpenter and I thought this would be perfect for my cleanups but it only runs for three seconds, shuts off for a minute then runs for three seconds again. If it wasn’t that problem this would be a life saver but it just doesn’t run.
After few months of use it stopped working properly. Constantly shuts off after 10 seconds of use. Filter is completely cleaned out and vacuum still messes up. Second Milwakee tool highly dissatisfied with. Makita might be the way to go.
Used this for cleaning out our personal cars, then the trigger stuck closed so I have to unplug the battery to get it to shut off or plug the battery in to turn it on. The way bottom opens up is not very user friendly and makes a mess
