The little red vacuum that could…

This compact vacuum is freaking awesome! If I had to be honest, it’s my new favorite vacuuming for cleaning the dog hair out of my car. (Which is a lot of dog hair, and it’s everywhere haha) It isn’t too heavy for holding for longer periods of time. I feel like the suction is better then my 2.5 gal vac. The canister might look small, but I feel it’s like a magician hats with just how much it can hold inside it. The battery performed magnificently. I’m thinking about buying a second one.. one of the house and one for the work truck. I don’t want something to happen to my house one on a job site. :) Thanks for another great product Milwaukee.

Shuts off for no reason with a charged battery

We love the convenience of this vac that we have two now for our garage and home use which is so handy; except it intermittently shuts off. The battery is fully charged and we need to remove the battery, reload or if we wait a couple minutes and try again then it will work for a short time-quite annoying. Just bought another pack of replacement filters which aren't cheap and wondering if we should have bought a different vacuum instead; our loyalty is with the Milwaukee Tool brand for years. We researched and unfortunately cannot find nothing about why or how to fix this just that others that are experiencing the same problem-please help.

First time disappointed with a Milwaukee product.

I own 12 different Milwaukee cordless tools and have been a very happy, loyal customer. But this product is defective! After about 2 months of light use, I too began experiencing the unexplained shut-offs that others report. Now, EVERY SINGLE TIME it shuts off after about 10 seconds of use. I wait about 30 seconds, it starts up, but then shuts down again. I have to go through this over and over and over again. Unfortunately, it is my most used tool out of all 12. I am very disappointed. I do not recommend buying it until Milwaukee remedies this issue. Otherwise, like all Milwaukee tools, it is excellent in design, function, and durability.

I am concerned that Milwaukee is slipping

I use this vac to clean up all types of wood and home workshop messes. When it was working, it was better than other similar products. Unfortunately Milwaukee seems to have an engineering problem that allows something to cause the motor to shut down after 20-30 seconds. I have regularly changed filters and otherwise avoided anything that could clearly cause a problem. Milwaukee’s own reviews and other sites repeatedly mention this issue. Why should it be OK to invest money and then have to make a warranty claim for a known problem? I have invested heavily in their M18 products. This is making me rethink future purchases.

My son bought this for me as a gift. I’m a bus driver and it is my absolute fav tool for the bus. I’m down to 1 day a week due to Covid so I now have it at home and I legit use it every day between full vacuums. It’s so convenient and we’re big Milwaukee fans so I always have a battery ready to go. The heated sweater and this are perfect tools for my job and home. I’m shocked at the low rating because I love this thing and rave about it. Maybe it doesn’t stand up to severe industrial abuse but hey treat your tools to last! Having dogs that shed, a grandson that spills, my own kids that make huge messes I can’t live without this. Hands down my favorite tool.

Disappointed

The company I work for bought this product, and had for about a month. First impression was great. Loved it, was a little work horse.
Then today, cleaning up the same type of dust and dirt I have been the entire time, and I start getting shocked. Figured it was static from the dust. Set the vac down, came back and does not work. Thought maybe something was clogging it, cleaned it up. Nothing.
I really liked this vac when it worked. Not I'm super disappointed and debating if i should ask to buy another one. Had potential, great for small tasks where I didn't want to break out the other m18 shop vacs we had.

Good vacuum, until it doesn't work

I wanted to love this vacuum, and I did, when it worked. Great power, sucked up some metal shavings and grinder dust off my shop floor, vacuum did great. Charged the battery up, plugged it in, pulled the trigger and nothing. Tried four batteries, only one worked, and it wasn't the one I was using the night before. These are well taken care of and barely used batteries that work just fine in every other milwaukee tool i own. I know it has some bad reviews but I was hoping for more than a one time use item. Back to the store it goes tomorrow! Maybe I'll try another one, I dont know, not much faith in it at this point.

Being a fan of Milwaukee Tools and having numerous in the M18 series I bought for this home use on the hardwood floors in condo but continually shuts off after 20-30 seconds of use. After waiting 20-30 seconds it starts back up but then shuts off again. Researching possible solutions see several similar examples shared online and throughout the reviews here on Milwaukee's site. Love their tools but this vac has had limited use and is only used on my livingroom floors so pretty disappointed it's not up to Milwaukee standards especially since it's not used on a jobsite.
What options are afforded under warranty?
