Great small unit

I am running this model since years on our yard along with the 580 BTS for smaller jobs. The blower starts easily every time, most with the second pull. The air intake is on the right so that you need to carry it best with the right hand. The supplied shoulder strap helps here.
If you want to carry it with the left its a bit tricky (I am left handed), but after a while I found my way of doing this.
I am running the blower with Aklyat gas and have absolutely no problems.
Using it as vacuum is a bit tricky. Leaves really need to be dry, the unit clogs otherwise. When you follow this rule, then you have lots of fun with the unit.
Gas consumption is low and one talk load lasts a while.

Much needed power

I have had this for this past year now and honestly I am not super surprised at how much power as I have other Husqvarna products and they’re all amazing but I’ve never owned one of your
blowers, But as with all your other products it is pretty amazing. I have a large area in the front that I’m constantly having to blow off due to planted ponds so I use this thing on a regular basis. It definitely makes it on my list of favorite products I’m an aircraft mechanic so durable today and function are most important in all of my tools and this one definitely makes the cut amazing product

Great Blower VAC

Bought this blower/vac in 2017 because my other was over 10 years old and did not have a mulching blade. So this is my 3rd season using the product, Works great and some leaves it reduces to a fine powder . Only complaint I have is with the bag, it has developed a hole already at the inlet just below the front strap & about an inch away from vac tube. I would suggest some changes to bag like 4 straps rather than 2 to reduce twisting. Enlarge the neck slightly just after the vac tube as it seems to pinch off in that area. Maybe more durable material. Otherwise a great product so far

Versatile unit!

Works well as a blower as well as a vacuum! It starts great when cold. Lots of power. The stop switch is a bit difficult to operate with gloves on. Not sure why the primer needs to be pushed 10 times when other equipment that I’ve used usually only takes 3 or 4 times but not a big deal. I would suggest a better way to remove/replace the vacuum bag by having a “fast fastening” device rather than using a nut driver to loosen and tighten the bolt each time the bag needs to be emptied as well as changing the bag from vacuum to blower and visa versa.
All in all a good unit to operate.

Just Right

I bought this after considering another well known brand. In addition to a quick starting engine, features I particularly like include its size and ergonomic feel. It seems small and even looks small but it isn't. Just well designed. The tubes stay on and your pants don't get sucked up into the motor housing. The tube(s) comes right out the center and that gives you the ability to move it back and forth with ease. Of course if it doesn't blow grass or leaves what good is it? It does a good job of both and what's more, it seems to be easy to control when you clean your garage. Grass doesn't blow back right onto the area you just cleaned. It has two useful tube options all at a good price and it works well.

Not a Stihl

I bought this to clean up the 10+ year collection of pine needles and cones in my yard.
My landlord got mad at me because I didn’t buy a Stihl. I have been very happy with the performance of the blower. I think the vacuum may come into play later but not right now. In the 8 years I have known my landlord the mess from the trees in the yard have never been cleaned up until I moved in.
There is still some debris that is too stuck in the ground for any blower to move.
I have become a Husqvarna fan for life. I can’t wait to buy more products to add to the collection.

Very disappointed. Not what they used to be.Beware

Not bashing Husqvarna, I've owned 2 125b blowers, 2 130 L trimmers, 1 141 chainsaw and a TS 348.XD garden tractor.I've always liked Husqvarna equipment until lately. The chainsaw only lasted about a year. My blower 125b is less than a year old and has been back and forth to the dealer spending about 2 months in the shop. They finally said they would give me a new unit since it was covered under warranty.It's been about week and the dealer still hasn't received it . I'm now using a different chainsaw brand (very happy)and may have to do the same with the blower. Beware!!

No power/ won't throttle up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried 2 of these in the last 3 days and had to return both of them to the store where I bought them. Using the supplied oil and fresh gas mixed at 50 to 1 ratio. The blowers won't come up to full speed and have no power. My wife has been using this same model for about 4 years and it has held up great and I would give it 10 stars if I could. However, the new one was a complete disappointment so I returned it thinking it was just a lemon. The second one was no better. I'm not sure if husquavarna has changed something on purpose, but these blowers were terrible.

Worked for 2 years now wont stay running

We purchased this the season before last and it worked like a charm until today. It starts easy enough but then it will not stay running. As soon as you move the choke to the full on position the blower seems to choke out. What is worse is the trouble we are having finding any type of manual that offers troubleshooting to the extent that we can attempt to figure this out on our own. We have purchased other Husqvarna tools and equipment and have been happy - we thought we couldn't go wrong if we stayed with a brand we already had faith in. Very disappointed.

Works OK - If It Would Run

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this leaf blower about 5 years ago and must say that I have been unhappy with this product since bringing it home. My disappointment has always been regarding how it runs (or doesn't). Assuming that I can get it started, it refuses to idle, even when it was brand new. This causes constant re-starts and frustration. The carburator has been adjusted and replaced, nothing seems to help. When it runs, it functions acceptably. First Husqvarna product that I've owned, not sure that I'd ever buy another. Very disappointed with this product.

Do not last,,, wore out in one fall

I have went thru four,,, 4 125BVx. First one returned within week next one I never got started. Next two lasted thru only one fall of blowing and vacuuming leaves. Homeowner,,, but yes I have built out in the woods, so yes I have lots of leaves BUT, still should have lasted much longer. Hard to start and after 20-30 hours would not start at all. I was more wore out trying to get re-started than actually using it. I knew I had to keep it running as i dumped the bag of leaves. A local repair man said neither had compression,,,,,, In other words WORE OUT!!!!!!!!!!! in 20 hours. Very sad that a new piece of equipment would only last 20 hours. The only two good things was that it had plenty of power and it ground up dry leaves nice and fine.

Disappointed

I bought this blower April 18 but didn't use it till the first part of May. Got it started and it ran good for 10 minutes and started to sputter and shut off. Took it to one of your service reps to fix it under your warranty. He told me it would be a couple of weeks to get it done. It is now June 21and it still has not been looked at. So I am very very disappointed. Also when I opened it up the fuel filter part was jamed up by the top of the gas tank. I pushed it down so I could fill it up with gas. This whole situation has been a joke!!!

A nice leaf blower

This is a really great leaf blower.........once you get it going. They say "easy to start" but there are 3 settings on the choke. You have to prime 10 pumps with the switch in one position. Then three pulls with it in another position and maybe it will start. Once you get it going it's great. Output air is phenomenal. I just think that if my Honda mower will start on one pull after priming then Husqvarna should be able to produce a leaf blower that will start on just one pull. It's easy to carry but does get a bit heavy after a while of using it.

Good value

After a week, it starts easy, good air volume & is good quality for the money. My wife uses a blower year round & I’ve been through 2 echo & 2 stihls that worked well for a while, but not worth what you pay for them. They will have carb, magneto problems mostly.
The only problem I had right out of the box with the 125B was that the high volume nozzle won’t fit properly on the main tube. I like the two length adjustments that can be made, but I have to push & twist very hard to get it to fit on the first (longer) notch, but can’t push the nozzle nowhere close to the shorter adjustment. The low volume nozzle fits perfectly & both adjustments are easy. Poor QC or engineering but it should never have been shipped to consumers with that problem.

Use Non-Ethanol Fuel

I repair small engines and have repaired these blowers. Most all the problems I find, is poor fuel/mix, choices, being the main problem. Using fresh regular non-ethanol gas will significantly reduce problems with all small 2 cycle engines. Emptying fuel tank after use and running the engine until it stops, should be done, if machines are left alone, over 30 days. A quality 2 cycle oil is also recommended for performance and longevity. If no non-ethanol fuel can be found, then buy the premix, IE. 40:1, 50:1, available at most hardware stores.

Lightweight and Quiet

Had the 125B for 3 months, got it as a Christmas present. It starts fine as long as you follow the starting instructions to the letter. I previously had a Murray 25cc blower, it was terrible to start (sometimes I just gave up) heavy and was really loud. I am also using VP 50:1 pre-mixed fuel in the 1 gal can for stability. The only issue I have is at full throttle it is either a rich or lean condition. It doesn't fully rev out like I think it should. I haven't played with the carb screws yet, I'll have to search for a "tuning" video first.

Great for the money...

To be fair and out front i do use my 125 for light commercial use. With that said i plan on upgrading when i can and not because it's struggling, i just want to make sure i don't wear it out sooner than later. With that said it does great, good power, fairly quiet. Poorly tuned out of the box, but got that squared away and noticed now after a bit it will lose a little power after it warms up. Definitely not hurting for power regardless for a handheld. Plan on someday getting the 525bx to replace it. Over all its been good to me so far.

Horrible pice of equipment

This blower is JUNK. The blower dies every time I try to use it and I use it just once a week to blow off just my driveway and deck out back. It takes me an hour to do a 15 minute job because I have to let it rest before I can restart it. I followed the starting directions to the letter. I just bought this piece in August 2018. Biggest disappointment ever. I have never written a review in my life, basically because I have never had a piece of equipment this bad and so frustrating. I've been a homeowner for 25 years too. DO NOT BUY THIS BLOWER - VERY VERY POOR!! Would never recommend to anyone, ever. And there's a question that asks about my level of experience, I have been around for a little and long enough to know this is a piece of junk.

Bought it a month ago was curious and been using it daily for my driveway and around the house. I've used other husqvarna products and always thought husqvarna is a good quality brand with line of products.. first thing I did before filling it with fuel is a muffler mod... my chainsaws and lawn equipment are all modified so I did this husqvarna as well.. I don't see a point but I do see a quick throttle response each and every time I press the Trigger.... that's the way every machine should respond.. Anyway I recommend this product.

Finally bought a gas blower.

I’ve only used electric blowers for the last twelve years, and gone through about a one every three years. Finally, I decided to pony up for s gas blower. I found the Husqvarna gas blower to be a good balance of price and performance. I primarily use the blower to clean debri from my driveway and patio after mowing the lawn. I love it! I have a large lot to maintain and the Husqvarna is fun to use and gets the job done easier than any electronic blower I had. It does get a bit tiring to hold but I like the grip workout. I also use it to clean leaves from my gutters - again it’s super effective! I also now have neighbors (an elderly man) asking me to clean his gutters, and I’m more than happy to do so. It’s a great blower, easy to use and easy to start.

Works the same every time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this handy gas powered blower for cleaning out the garage at our cabin. The leaves and various debris get in there after the autumn and it’s light and easy to use in spring. There are starting directions on the machine, a plus and the even bigger plus is that it works every time. We only use Husky’s synthetic pre mix fuel so when it sits between uses there’s no danger of bad fuel.
We end up using it for a lot more now than garage sweeping: pickup bed cleaning, clean up after firewood making, gutter clean outs, etc.

Workhorse, reliable and affordable

This is my second Husqvarna 125B, the first one is used in my shop since the competitive brand failed and this one will replace it in my garage. I use it every day for blowing off the driveway and garage from the dirt blown around living on a farm and in the mountains. In the winter its used to blow melted snow off the floor surfaces so it doesn't turn to slippery ice at night. Considering I am at altitude (5400' plus) and the varied weather conditions, it has always worked and worked well. I have never had to replace any parts and it has never let me down, something I cannot say for most other items. One thing I was made aware of is to use non-ethanol gas as ethanol gas will cause build up in the carb and render the machine useless until thoroughly cleaned.

Stability

I purchased this product a few months ago. It is very powerful and I like how it looks. The only negative problem that I can relate to those looking to buy this blower, is the fact that it is very hard to pull start the blower unless you have it on the ground and have some part of your foot on it so that you can pull the rope to start it. You cannot get it to start if you have it up on a bench or table. Husqvarna should make some kind of upgrade so that you can put your foot on it to ground start it. It is not easy.

Literally don't backed their product

Bought this blower back in fall to mulch a lot of leaves. Did that without a problem. Fast forward to the spring. Try to fire up the blower it doesn't start. Take it to the repair shop. They contact Husqvarna and Husqvarna says they won't cover it even though it's under warranty. The product is less than 9 months old and they aren't covering it and they're not giving me reason why
Don't buy from Husqvarna they don't back their products, plane and simple even within there within the warranty period

I was given one for free from my neighbor 6 years ago, and it was 3 years old at the time. I maintain 18 yards weekly and this 'lil beast has never let it down. I have never had to do any advanced maintenance. I will not sell this fine piece of engineering. Has more power than my piece-of-junk RedMax EBZ5150, and it way lighter and easier to use. I will never buy any other brand besides Husqvarna. I own this blower and a 128LD weed whip and if you maintain them and they will take care of you.

Poor fuel system durability

I understand that Husqvarna has a disclaimer relative to its fuel systems and their exposure to gas containing ethanol. Seems to me, since we don't have choice in the matter of fuel, Husqvarna and every other manufacturer of small gasoline powered tools, needs to address the ethanol issue with materials designed to be compatible with ethanol blends. The auto and motorcycle manufactures have figured it out, why not Husqvarna. Either that or sell a 2-cycle oil additive that already contains the necessary "conditioner" they refer to as being needed for ethanol blends. This issue is not going to go away and, frankly, I'm getting weary of excuses and work-arounds that simply add more operational expenses. As long as the OE fuel system was uncompromised by the ethanol, the blower, otherwise, worked great.

Stopped working on second use.

Pull string wouldn't recoil. First customer service inquiry just gave me a list of repair shops. Total BS. I'm shouldn't have to take the time and money to go to a shop this early in ownership. Just emailed them again to see if they'll replace. Hope I just got a lemon. I've never had a piece of yard equip stop working so soon. It's my first Husqvarna product (maybe last). Let's see how good their customer service is. But based on my experience with this machine, I can't recommend it.

My 1st 125b

My 1st 125 was purchased 1n 2013 and it lasted only 6 years. I had no problems with it until I tried to start it this year (2020). The problem was very little compression. The single ring on the piston was stuck. No cleaners worked. The cost of repairing was close to a new one. I decided to try one more time with a new 125B. Needless to say that if this new one does not last longer that 6 years, then this is my last Husqvama. As far as recommending this blower it is on hold.

Disappointed with warranty

Our community league bought this blower to help keep the sidewalks clean to access our outdoor rinks. I started it up the first night, tried it out for a few minutes and then shut it off. Our rink guy started it and it made a noise and stopped working. I tried to take it back to the store that I bought it from but was told I had to take it to the "approved warranty dealer." I dropped it off there four months ago and I am still waiting for it to be fixed. Sadness.

Best blower ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 2nd 125B in a row. My old one finally gave out after 15 or so years. I could have ordered a refurb kit with a new carb and new fuel lines and probably got my old one working, but I figured that after that many years of service, why not just retire it. This model blower ALWAYS starts, ALWAYS runs and just flat-out does it's job. Great quality build and good ergonomics. If they still make this model in 20 years when my new one dies, I'll get another 125B.
