[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Hartz® Just For Cats® Running Rodent™ Cat Toy free to test out with my clowder. Initially, this caused a lot of excitement. Tons of curiosity to check out this toy. I did notice that alone, my cats had no interest in this toy. However, if it was used during our family play time, they had a blast with it. With this toy, you pull the tale and he rolls forward. I would recommend this for playing with your cat. This will probably not be the toy they use while playing alone. Great toy and very well made. No issue with tail/ rolling combo. This opinion is 100% my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to get my three cats a toy that moves by itself because they love chasing and attacking the toys they do have. I was disappointed with it because the size is much bigger than I expected. I wish it was smaller so it could be more realistic. It only moves for a few seconds, maybe 5 before it stops. I think my cats would've liked it if it moved for a longer time and went further. Only one of my cats likes this but he plays with it mainly when it's not moving so it sort of defeats the purpose of being a wind up toy. Love the concept but not the end product.

This is one of my cats favorite toys.  If he even just hears me pull the string he runs up interested then chases and attacks when I toss it.   Unfortunately the tail construction is lacking and sometimes comes off with normal pull pressure.  We've gone through several of these even when the packaging was different.  Occasionally the pull string on the tail is shorter than normal which creates a shorter run/vibration.   Other than that, my cat has fun eating the face when I'm not looking and more fun when I pull and toss.  Because of cost I now only buy 1-2 times a year.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy was not fun for my cat at all. It's cute and it seems like something she might be into, but she completely ignores it. I think it's because of the extremely short duration of the vibration and "running" of the rodent - you pull the tail and it vibrates and wiggles a little for about half a second, and that's it, it's over. She has no interest in it whatsoever. If it were something that were maybe battery operated or something that lasted a bit longer than half a second she would probably play with it, but it's still sitting in the same spot on the floor where I placed it about 3 weeks ago. She hasn't touched it. It doesn't contain catnip or anything exciting to a cat. She gives it two thumbless paws down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all this little mouse is adorable. It is furry and true to size. My cats love toys they can grab with their paws and things that will stick to them when playing. As soon as they saw this toy on the floor they were immediately drawn to it. It works by gently pulling the tail and then it moves forward on its own a little bit. It definitely intrigued both of my cats. They were completely fascinated by the fact that it moves a little and it was hilarious to watch. They also love just playing with it and pouncing on it when it is not moving. I think it is becoming one of their new favorite toys. It provides them with a lot of entertainment and it allows me to have some interactive playtime with them. I recommend this for anyone whose cats love to play and chase things.

Hartz Just For Cats, RUNNING RODENT A furry little mouse that when you pull the tail will scurry across the floor and the chase is on. My kitten loves it the most. He catches it and tries to kill it I think, but it comes back for another play time. It's well made, (he hasn't killed it yet) and moves on it's own. Shakes and vibrates a little bit. Much more fun that a toy that does nothing. I have a short video of him with the toy, but don't know how to upload it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was allowed to try out this product, and as soon as I received it, my kitty knew it was for her. When you pull the tail, the little rodent runs around, and she chases it. It took a little while for it to get in full speed mode, but she loved even when it was not running around. She wrestled with it, and I would place it under a rug. Then, she would try to catch it as it moved. It is awesome for our cats' natural hunting instinct. It is one of her favorite toys.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats really enjoy this product. My male carries it around and had even given it a bath in his water bowl. The sound when you pull the string gets them all excited and it even travels a bit across the tile floor (not on carpet, though). It is bi enough to be interesting but not too big that it can't fit in their mouths. It is cute and soft and seems like it will be durable. I just wish the rattle lasted a little longer or was slower. But a great toy for my two!
