The unit is heavier than other out there, but when using it, I don't feel the weight, the units is resting on ground and I guide it to clear the path. The unit shoots the snow a little too far, I have to angle the snow so I don't throw it across the street to my neighbours driveway.

I wanted a snow thrower that could be used on our Trex deck that would not cause any damage. It works well for what it is. The only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars is the inability to direct where the snow is going. Other than that it works great.

Powerful Snowblower

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Received this 80 volt snowblower as a gift and have used it 4 times so far. Great for the decks, walkways and for tight areas. Also have a 60 volt grass trimmer I’ve owned for 6 years which also works awesome and has a long battery life. Highly recommend Greenworks products and will be purchasing more in the future.

Strong snow thrower to help reduce shovelling!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Although this is a heavy tool, it easily slides in the snow and throws it a significant distance! It works equally well with dry or very wet snow! My only quibble, and it’s something I can work around, is that it only throws the snow forward, so you have to consider how you attack your work.

Like the additions to new model

Also like the steerable direction allowing me to throw snow over my railing on my deck. Snow shovel is great for clearing decks and hard to access areas with traditional snowblower. Throws snow a considerable distance.

This is designed to be pushed and even with my back, I can manage with just pushing it and NOT lifting. I recommend this to anyone who has physical issues with shoveling and lifting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great. However the power on button is located on an awkward place and uncomfortable to keep pushed while shoveling. It should be on the upper handle where you can keep it pressed without having to hold the shovel in a weird position.

To handle a Greenworks snow shovel, firmly grip the handles with both hands, ensure the lockout button is pressed, then engage the trigger to start the impeller, and push the shovel forward, guiding it along the snow surface while keeping your hands and body away from moving parts; remember to release the trigger when you want to stop the impeller. Adjusting the handle can provide a better balance, this will help evenly distribute the weight between the battery and the base.

My 80 V trimmer is an outstanding addition to my landscaping tools, I can start early due to its low decibels.

Works well but heavy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This "shovel" came with the 80v snow blower package I purchased which I have left another review on. My review on this shovel is from using it this season.
I have used the shovel to get "trim" areas hard to get to with the blower (small walks and narrow areas) and have also used it to clear the entire driveway (3 car drive approx 25' long - standard city lot setback).
It works well on small areas, and is fine for removing entire drive if the snow is light (2-3 inches). It can be difficult to maneuver as it must be pointed in the direction you want the snow be thrown so working around walls, etc can be a challenge.
The main reason for the mediocre rating is weight. By the time I am finished with the work I am almost as tired as just using a regular shovel due to weight and weird maneuvering to keep the snow being thrown in the correct direction. Since this was essentially a free item in the kit it's worth keeping but I would not recommend purchasing one. I would rather but a light weight snow blower. I think it would be less strenuous and do a better job.

Throws Snow too far.

I bought this at the start of the year for winter here in Toronto and at a glance it works great but the problem is that it launches the snow wildly too far. So much so that it becomes effectively impossible to use in a residential neighbourhood. When doing my driveway it launches snow onto my neighbor's driveway 15m away and given that there is no mechanism to control the direction or angle of the thrown snow it becomes a massive problem. My choice is either go back and forth on my driveway horizontally and launch all the snow into neighbouring driveways OR go up and down vertically and launch all the snow across the street onto the driveway of my neighbor across the road.
You can lift the handle more vertically to lower the angle of the snow but then the tool doesn't slide well and it becomes a nightmare to push.
As far as I can tell there isn't really a good way to use this without causing chaos.
I'd also add that, as a tall person (6'3"), the length of the shaft is too short. I have to be bent over the whole time while using it which my back doesn't appreciate at all.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry to hear you are not happy with the 20' discharge. The snow shovel can only be used in one direction. The direction of the snow is changed when you turn the shovel, which is thrown straight out about 20'-0 feet. If you want the snow to go in certain directions, you will have to steer it. Regarding, the height, by adjusting the handle on the shovel can provide a better balance between the battery and the base. To adjust the balance of the unit, loosen the screws to move the auxiliary handle up and down the shaft till you are comfortable.

We are sorry to hear of the challenges you have experienced.
When moving the snowthrower, use the wheels on one side as the pivot point. Slightly tilt the snowthrower on this pivot point to move it forward or backward.
Start your clearing path outward, throwing snow in a back and forth motion. To clear in the opposite direction, pivot the snowthrower on its wheels. Make sure to overlap clearing paths.
It's worth noting the wind direction. If possible, move in the same direction as the wind so that the snow is not thrown against the wind (and thus back onto you and on the just cleared path.
