A good value
il y a 6 ans
I heat with wood and am self-sufficient in that on with my rural acre. I have cordless units for where extension cords don't reach but consider it poor economy to use them where they do (batteries wear out). For several years my only corded unit was a 6A unit from another manufacturer. It was a good saw but finally froze up and likely isn't worth repairing. Sure is nice to slice with twice the power--saves not only time but wear and tear on my back.
Not to mention, I paid the same price for them!
I haven't had it long so I have not rated durability, but given warranty, reviews, and brand reputation I expect it will last longer than I do.
Yes, it's heavy. So are tanks. For what I do with it that is actually advantageous.
I own a cordless saw (from other manufacturer) and was not interested in owning a corded saw until last month that I was working on a project and needed to make several demolition cuts of pressured treated 6 x 8”. I was only doing 1 cut per battery charge so decided to purchase this corded model because it had good reviews and price was close to $100.
This thing performed really well. I made around 90 cuts of 6 x 8” PT wood paired with Diablo blades. It has plenty of power and I like that you can change the blade orientation so it allow you to do almost flush cuts.
This saw is missing 2 features that would be nice to have:
1. Blade adjustment to save on blades
2. Oscillating motion for faster cuts.
Overall I think is a good value and the tool feels like it will last a long time.
Bought this product a couple weeks ago and have loved it since. The price is great for the quality plus USA manufactured is a great selling point to me. I like being able to position the blade on either side too, since it is a corded tool this helps with mobility for odd cuts. The only downside is it is a little heavy but all in all i still say this beats out any other corded sawzall I've used.
I have never written a tool review, but I am taking on a large DIY remodel project and decided I needed a reciprocating saw. I own a few DeWalt brand tools, among others, so I’m aware of the quality. But WOW was I surprised by the power, ease and precision of this saw!
I only regret not adding this to my workbench arsenal earlier.
I'm a plumber and Carpenter. all my tools are used for the occasional side job. After, burning through 3 cordless Dewalt Sawzall over 15yrs . I decided to buy heavy duty 12 amp corded Sawzall so those three years old maybe with 10 hours of use . . ARMATURE & BRGS burns out. Foreign components
I bought this over 5 years ago. I flip houses and use it on a regular basis. Not one time has this saw ever let me down. I have noticed over the past year though the blade release is starting to stick. I probably just need to add some WD40 to make it loosen up. Over all a very dependable saw.
Wife bought me this saw for christmas. Descent saw but doesn't come with a case and cannot find one for it. My daughter bought her husband a Makita and it has a case. So I go from job to job location with mine laying in the back of my truck and blades scattered all over the place.
I bought this after the harbor freight type gave out after 4 yrs . This has kept on going but the performance of it is not good. It will take forever to cut into thin medal like exahust pipe. The harbor freight product did not last long but did perform great compared to dewalts.
