It worked good for me, I was in a tight spot, very similar to picture on package. The angle head felt solid and sounded great when running. I also like the magnetic feature to hold metal screws onto bit, which is a must since you need both hands, and an extra one if available. Haha. But, I still don't understand the reasoning of the phillips bit that came with it. It made using the product very frustrating. That's why I rated it "Fair". 1. It looks like an afterthought. 2. It only sticks out about 1/8 to 3/16 when fully inserted, doesn't stay engaged in screws very well. 3. I think it has a spring loaded ejection feature, but since you have to keep the outer sleeve compressed to keep bit engaged, it's always trying to eject the bit. I would buy it again.

Once I went online and read how to change bits and used the tool it worked great. Changing bits is not intuitively obvious so I understand other users poor reviews. To change bits, simply compress the silver ring that surrounds the bit tip toward the body of the tool. It’s spring loaded and ejects the bit when compressed. I didn’t have any problems after that. Just keep constant pressure on the the tool as you drive screws and it works fine

Bought this while finishing my basement framing/plumbing/electric. I quickly discovered this cannot be used with auger bits and then quickly discovered it is difficult at best to take a bit out. After a few troublesome changes the current bit cannot be removed. I beat the heck out of it and it just cannot be removed. This tool is a MAJOR disappointment. I'd have second thought on buying another Dewalt/Stanley Vidmar Product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this and was super excited for it because it's one of those tools that can come in handy when you really need it! Started playing around with it and part of the bit holder just popped off!! The head is a little big so it can't fit into tight spaces, but it allows the user to hold drill or impact from a ways away, I do like that! overall not amazed, but it does the job it was designed for!

As you can see in the photo, I've tried severe methods to remove the drill bit from the adapter (to no avail). Methods included putting the device in a vise, gripping the bit with Vise grips and trying to hammer the bit out (even after adding liquid wrench) and trying to unscrew the bit holder (only the magnetis cover comes off)... nothing works.

I used this one time to get at a difficult drilling angle. It quickly bound up and twisted causing damage to the flexible portion of the device. Is there any kind of warranty on this device? I wouldn't expect this to happen the first time I used it. I finished the job but I had a difficult time keeping it from twisting/kinking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used twice. First time was unable to run in a screw due to bad angle and position. Second time, the unit twisted up and jammed my hand into the material I was working. This is basically a toy that might be useful for removing and replacing a small screw in a tight spot. It is not ready for new construction or anything heavy duty.

It comes with a short Philips bit, but I can't get it out, because you have to pull the sleeve forward to eject it and the bit's too short to get a hold of it, and it's magnetic so you can't knock it and get it to fall out. I feel like I'd really like this tool if I could use a star drive bit instead of a crummy Phillips one.
