Absolutely awesome inflator

I just received mine as a gift and I absolutely love the product. It is your typical Dewalt quality so you know it’s going to last. I can say that it pumps tires pretty quickly and is very accurate when it shuts off with the air pressure. I checked with a. Enter gauge and it was pretty dead on for pressure. The jog wheel to set the pressure could be a little tighter on the spins. Overall, it’s a great product.
There was one person who posted a review where he added a quick connect coupler to be used with various tools. I wanted to know what size is the male NPT thread for that connector. I tried 1/8” NPT male thread quick connector but that was to big. Any feedback is really appreciated!

I am not a tool person but bought this on suggestion from someone who is a Dewalt fanatic because I was telling him it's so much trouble to try and find a gas station with air when I need it. I've always been intimidated by power tools but this thing is so easy to use and just the security of having an inflator with me 24/7 is priceless. Love the cordless feature and not having to pull that super heavy air cord at the gas station around my tires. Great quality. This is the best thing I bought all year <3 *I am not a general builder, it didn't offer an "other" category so I just picked one*

BEST inflator for this little old lady

When my friend inflated my tires with his DeWalt 20V MAX inflator, I saw how easy it was to operate and how ACCURATE, and knew I must have one so I would be able to inflate my own tires without bothering anyone else. I LOVE that the inflator hose screws onto the valve because the ones that require one to press the hose to the tire do not work for me. I can honestly say this is one of the smartest purchases I have made in my 74 years. It is lightweight, simple to operate, and will ride in my car trunk FOREVER. Thank you, DeWalt, for the piece-of-mind I have with my inflator on board.

Handier little unit I ever used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about six months ago having never seen a DeWalt version of this. Once I used it I knew I had to get one for every vehicle. It not only tells you the pressure that's in the tire when you first hook it on you can then set the pressure that you want and hit start, it is also a fast little unit blowing up a car tire quicker than a normal roadside compressor. As if that wasn't enough you can also blow inner tubes basketballs all types of other things up with the different attachments that are included. We use this on our boat to blow up our inner tube we pull behind the boat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to help me inflate the airbags on my truck for heavy loads. It was becoming a pain to have to find air everything I wanted to do it, and using a hand pump was inconvenient. I love having the ability to fill anything I want, anytime I want. It works flawlessly and fills the air bags quickly. I could not be more pleased. My only complaint would be that no matter what psi I set it to, it always vaires 1.5 psi or so. I can't get my airbags at exactly the same psi, which does not hurt functionality at all, it's just a pet peave of mine. Definity NOT a reason to not get one.

Used 12x & its dead

Got the air inflator 2 years ago for Christmas. I may have used it a dozen times to inflate car tires, the kids bike tires and basketballs. Go to use it to inflate trailer tires and the battery is dead. DeWalt sends me a new battery only to discover that the unit itself is dead. The lights flash on and off by itself. I expected a better product from DeWalt as the buildings service center that I work at is filled with DeWalt tools for all the trades we have working here. Now they want me to spend more money to ship it to a repair center and pay for repairs to a seldomly used tool.

Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has to be one of my favorite DeWalt 20 volt tools. This is not like those cheap tire inflators this really works. You set the air pressure you want hook it up and walk away, once it reaches the set psi it shuts of. And it fills and tops off tires quickly. I use it regularly on my work truck and the tires need 80 psi. It even has everything you need to fill blow up items and sports equipment. And if you don’t have a 20 volt battery it works off the included 12 volt plug. It is definitely in my top 10 of DeWalt tools. You will not be disappointed .

One of the most useful tools I own!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am amazed at how useful this tool has been. I never realized how often I would end up using it. Quickly inflate the bicycle tire before a ride - no problem. Car tires need topping up in the middle of the winter? Done in flash without freezing of lugging the compressor around or driving to the gas station. And it fills things to the psi specified digitally without having to use a pressure tester (because gas station machines are so inaccurate). Pool toys - no problem. Basketball - no problem. Air mattress - no problem.
One of the best tools I own. If you have an investment in DeWalt 20V items like I do (drills, saws, yard tools) this is a no brainer addition to your tool collection.
It is simple to use and works great.

Did not work first time out of the box

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this product to have an easy way to inflate our car tires to the correct pressure. Unfortunately, I have been unable to get the product to work. When I connect the inflator nozzle to the car's tires, it correctly detects the pressure, but after setting the pressure to inflate (35 psi), it stops working after a second. For some reason, air is not going into the tire, so the machine shuts off because the pressure spikes in the tube. I have tried I multiple tires, and adjustment the nozzle to different levels of tightness, but to no avail.

Quick tire inflation

This tool is pretty quick inflating tires. I like the automatic shutoff at the set tire pressure. I also like the idea of having options to power this device although, you have to buy the battery and charger separately. Not a deal breaker for me as this is a portable inflator that I will use at home periodically but plan to keep it in my car. It would be nice if a case was included but I'm sure that would increase the price. This isn't the cheapest unit on the market but it is quick, easy to use and the digital readout is easy to read.

Remarkable PUMP

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this pump on a complete flat tire, and I was amazed by the quickness the tire filled, and how user friendly the pump is. I set the dial to 34 psi pressed the button and the tire was filled within a couple of minutes. The digital gauge is awesome and easy to read. Once it reached 34.1 psi it automatically shuts off. No worries if I over inflated the tire. The hose is strong with a screw on brass tip for a secure fit. Has a built-in flash light which can come handy on those dark roads. It can inflate and deflate in no time with three different tip tools it comes with. I used the DCB203 20v Battery on my pump, but it can also work on AC power. This is definitely a pump you want in you garage, and if possible in the trunk of your car for those long trips.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for nearly a year and used it only to pump up my air tests in the field. It is a little slower than a compressor of course, but at a fraction of the size and with it's programmable limit, you can't go wrong. I also have Milwaukee's version of this and it doesn't even compare to DeWalt. Plumber approved.
The only real con here is the dial adjustment. We have to pump our water tests up to 100 psi and the dial can be a bit frustrating to turn that far. Not even worth knocking the corner off a star though.

Best inflator I ever used.

I think this is the most versatile inflator to date. Used to blow up small boat and several tires. Works flawlessly. The only thing I could not resist doing is make an adapter to let me connect and disconnect quickly. I hate to screw in and off each time I change from tire to tire. This adapter lets me have the best of both worlds. In a tight area, the screw on has the advantage. Otherwise, I like the quick connect/release.

Dewalt inflator problem

Bought this to inflate a floating pad which requires about 4psi. The high volume inflator quickly fills the pad but only to about 2psi; it will not inflate more than that. Contacted the company and they say it should inflate to 15psi. I exchanged the item thinking it was a defect. The replacement does exactly the same, not anywhere enough psi. The high psi works well on tires, the high volume is worthless. I will be returning for a refund and purchase a different brand.

Great inflator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought so I do not have to drag out my air compressor and cords to air up tires. It it is so easy to set the pressure and have the inflator shut off automatically when the desired pressure is reached. The only negative I have is the side storage with the 12v adapter, I just wish it had more space, the adapter takes up all the space. This is an awesome tool, it will be going on trips in case it is needed, small enough to fit behind a seat or in the built in storage.

DCC0201(B) stopped working properly after 7 months. After 7 months I tried inflating 12-15 psi golf cart tire that was at 8 psi. Attached the chuck to the tire valve stem, set the pressure to 14 psi, pressed the pump on button. Pump would not pump more than 1 second. Never did reach 14 psi. Then, when I removed the chuck from the valve stem, a little yellow grommet was stuck on the end of the valve stem, that came from inside the DCC0201 air inflator chuck. Put it back in and now the air compressor doesn't pump anything, nor even register a tires current air pressure. I depend on this air inflator daily to keep our car, truck , trailer and farm equipment up-to-pressure. It was an indispensable tool until it stopped working--after 7 months. I submitted Ticket #2820493 today, 12Sept21 for Warranty Replacement.

Hate the high volume inflator function

This works great for tire inflation, however I primarily bought it for inflating my raft. It would be great for that too, except the connectors and hose keep pulling apart, making it useless. I only used it a few times. Plus, the shape is really awkward to use unless the item you are inflating is on the ground. I contacted DeWalt and got a form response take it back to the store. It is out of warranty so I out of luck. I will not buy DeWalt products in the future

Very Useful! My 2nd Tool!

When initially purchasing my first took, it was to have a cordless inflator in truck/camper. I can set the desired pressure, push go, and then do another task while it pumps to desired pressure. Since initial purchase, I use it for so much more than just tires. I use the high volume hose for cleaning out dust/debris, blowing up inflatable rafts, and blowing out water lines. I purchased a 2nd tool so I can keep one in truck and the other around the house.

Even better then expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had for a few months this things rocks: the Threaded chuck works so good I'll never buy the old style again. Seems incredibly accurate, normally I would inflate my tires and then see that they were off by a pound through the Tire pressure monitor system on my car, with this thing they are all the exact same and stay that way for weeks. Only used the large hose to inflate a pool toy once and it seemed a little weak but maybe I was not using it perfectly?

This little inflator really works great. I was getting tired of paying $1.50 each time just to top off a couple of tires to get my tire pressure sensor to turn off. I topped off all four tires, 265/70/18’s in less than 10 minutes. One tire needed 9 pounds and the other three needed about 4-5 pounds each.
I was going to get a bigger battery for it but the 1.5/ah battery that came with it handled the job just fine. Over all I am very pleased with it.

Jrw3207's review is not a fair comparison to the Milwaukee M18. The review states: Takes a long time to fill up car tires compared to Milwaukee M18 Inflator. DeWalt needs to catch up. Standards are getting low. The Milwaukee product mentioned is about $100 more expensive and that's because it's meant for heavier duty jobs. The Dewalt is great for inflatable water toys, bicycle and small tires and will naturally take longer to fill large tires as opposed to the Milwaukee. "DeWalt needs to catch up, standards are getting low"... Are you serious? Really? You don't see a fault in your comparison of the two? When reviewing a product you should at the very least compare apples to apples, not apes to oranges. Anyone reading Jrw3207's review shouldn't take it seriously at all and I suggest you file the review under "G" for Garbage. Ridiculous!!

Excellent value, great versatility, well designed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've now owned this for about a year and like it so much I plan to purchase at least 2 more to keep in my truck and my car. I've used it my garage to top up tires, on 2 roadside emergencies for air and light, and on camping trips to inflate air mattresses and blow air on a campfire to help get it started. I bought this mainly for adding air to tires, figuring I'll do a better job keeping my tires at the optimal pressure if it's easier to do... it definitely is! I keep my compressor in my basement and normally use a portable tank, but this is so much easier and faster. Being able to set a desired inflation pressure and have any tire perfectly inflated couldn't be any more convenient. Like most DeWalt products, this is a well thought-out tool, nicely built, and compact enough to keep in any car for road trips. Would highly recommend to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had this inflator for a few weeks but I've already used it quite a bit. Saved me from removing a trailer tire and taking it to the shop for repair. I was able to add air and drive it there instead. This thing paid for itself with that use alone. I also use it to adjust air pressure in my dirt bikes when we're out in the woods. I can ride to the truck, set the pressure and ride out. No more hand pumps or corded 12v pumps! I've used some cheaper brand battery powered inflators and DeWalt did their research on this one because they eliminated all of the annoyances from the other ones. The LED light helps a lot in low light conditions and the dial to set air pressure is fast and easy to use, unlike pushing a button 50 times on the other brands, haha. Anyway, it's a great tool and I'm going to use it a lot more. Highly recommended!!

***DEFECTIVE PRODUCT***

Bought product at the end of January this year, tested it out on a deflated football and it seemed to function properly. Had the opportunity to use it on a car that's stored for the winter (not driven) as the tires needed air. Everything was set up according to instructions, set the pressure and pressed the button to start. After about 3 seconds, the device shut down entirely. Tried to troubleshoot, used two different fully charged 6/ah batteries, the device did not function with either one. Then attempted to use the 12 volt ac cord (plugged into the car) and yielded the same results. I own over 40 Dewalt power tools, and thus far have not had any issues with functionality for any of them; This is the first product I've purchased that does not work. I was anticipating the same level of quality with this product, and I am very disappointed with the outcome.

Has all the features I need at a reasonable price

I travel monthly between two locations, one of which is remote. The remote location means that I am a distance from any gas station, so if I need air in my tires, I cannot get to a gas station while the tires are still cold. This DeWalt air compressor offers everything I need, in- cluding 3 different ways of powering it. It's also great for inflating our exercise balls and air mattresses when guests stay over.

Fast and Accurate

We purchased this for our job trailer for that pest of a tire that won't stay inflated, it is quick and accurate when it comes to the inflation. You don't have to stand there and hold it or watch it as it has a automatic shut off at your desired psi. It's lightweight and quite honestly have filled our tire 6 times on a single charge. If you're looking for a reliable portable air pump this is you're guy.

Very convenient and compact

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great for inflating and topping of the air in my vehicles and compact enough to keep in the trunk without wasting space. I keep a 20v battery attached to it to avoid having to use the cord that attaches to the cigarette lighter area.
I love that it also has the ability to inflate air mattresses or floats and it has been a lifesaver with the boat and jet ski trailer tires and water sport toys.

I bought this inflator on “BLACK FRIDAY” and I love it, my truck tires were at 32 psi I needed them to be at 40 psi it takes about 22.5 sec per psi to inflate I used a 20v/60v FlexVolt battery The unit did not get warm, while the unit was on the ground it was sitting on the battery because the battery is rather large but the unit did not move nor did the unit tip over and there wasn’t any air leaks.
