Nice tool box
il y a 2 ans
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a very sturdy and well built tool box in very happy with the build quality the drawers come out super smooth and with the seal on the outside of drawers no dust or debris can get in the track so should last a while only thing i find myself missing is a top carrying handle it works nicely with the older tough system and the connect and disconnect tabs on the 2.0 are a nice change but i couldn't get the multi port fast charger to connect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing tool box! The size is incredible and I can fit a lot of tools inside. I really like the durability and features that are offered on this one! The latches on the the Tough system are easy to use and open and close. I like the pullout drawers as they are easy to open and close with a simple lift and pull to open. All around this is a great component to the Tough system! I would highly recommend this product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ToughSystem® 2.0 Two-Drawer Unit is an excellent modular tool storage solution. The unit itself is heavy duty and offers two drawers that you can load with your most used tools. The drawers offer quick access to your tools without having to remove other units from your tough system to access your tools. Dewalt claims that the drawers are rated at 22 lbs a piece, however when loaded with 35lbs in weights, the drawers still open and close smoothly. I did notice that when the heavy weight was in the top drawer the unit would tip over due to not having a counter weight. I would recommend having the unit secured to the Tough System Rolling Toolbox to offer some counterweight to prevent this. The drawers and deep and wide enough to fit most full sized tools. The latches on the drawers are strong so you won’t have to worry about your drawers opening and spilling out all of your tools.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an improvement over other storage system with drawers. The only downside is there's no handle on the top, only on the sides. This is a disadvantage because it makes you to use 2 hands. I do like the water seal around the drawers because I have the 1st version and it doesn't have the water seal. This is a great addition to any other tough storage system.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this set of drawers better than the small box that that I got as part of the three piece set for my use case. I like to store extra batteries and a few boxes of construction screws and nails. It a little bigger and allows me to better organize my stuff. As an added bonus I can repurpose the small parts containers that came in the small boxes.
I needed something modular for hardware storage to fit on some shelves in a new shed that I have. The entire ToughSystem line is perfect for that. I currently own this one and look forward to buying more from the line to increase my storage capacity and organization. Durable and also light and easy to move around.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shelving and storage system is extremely heavy duty. As you can tell by the price point its meant for a jobsite. It would work great for home shop/garage storege as well, albeit it might be overkill. The system is very heavy and sloghtly awkard to pickup. It would be nice to have a handle on top.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it i like the system its always opends easily i always have thing organized easy to find. I keep my revits guns an screws in it an wire shrink tubs i use daily. Water tight better then some of the system boxes light i would like to see a handle on it for easy transport off the tough system
I agree with all the positive comments provided in the previous reviews. Love this box.
One question and this is driving me nuts. What is the purpose of that small embedded top tray and specifically the yellow rectangular knob that rotates to an upright position???
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This box has been a great addition to my truck, allowing me to have a great mobile storage option to help keep my tools organized. With the availability to add this to the other DeWalt storage options in this lineup, it's a must have for any tradesman or homeowner.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the ease of opening and closing of the drawers. The depth and room of the drawers is amazing. The downside, i don't like the handles, they should slide up and out, the snap back action for the way they are designed could smash unsuspecting fingers.

Good quality for a plastic drawer box.
il y a 2 ans
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good quality over all... I would perfer for the tool box to have a center top handel, the box has a handle on each end which works but requires two hands to carry. The drawers are sturdy and lock shut. Over all I would give this set up an 8 out out 10.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very durable construction. Holds all of my smaller power tools and accessories without any issue. The grab handles make it easy to store and move with ease. Strong, reliable latches on the drawers make it feel very secure.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dewalt drawers are amazing. The latching system is awesome and it does not pop open. It is perfect size to fit almost anywhere. We went and bought a couple more. They can be used for anything and anywhere.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the purpose of the product, really helps to organize your space in a truck and tools. Size is perfect. Durable as usual but little bit heavy I would say. Weight was the reason to make 4.5 out of 5 stars.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No handle on top makes this useless. Who in their right mind designs like this. A 5 year old would have added a handle

Tools are secured but wish it had a lockhole.
il y a 10 mois
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wish I had a way to put a lock on it like the other moduler boxes do , besides that pretty good solid box
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned every generation of the tough system drawer. The quality and performance of this drawer is by far the best. I cannot recommend it enough if you were looking for a drawer storage solution, especially if you already own other things in the ToughSystem line. Previous problems that I had with the first and second generation drawers were that the latching system never seem to be that secure and it always felt like when it was heavily loaded the drawers would bend. I found them acceptable for wall mounting but not something that I would want to bring out on a job site on the dolly. This drawer has corrected all of those previous problems and it is as durable and sturdy as you can want. I replaced a first generation drawer that I used to store all my batteries with this new drawer and loaded up heavily. As you can see from the pictures it easily latches and there is no bending with the heavy load. You probably also can tell I own a significant portion of the ToughSystem line. I wish that this drawer had been out when I purchased most of the other second generation drawers in the picture (which were also a significant improvement). This is a very good product and I give it five stars easily.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to finally get my hands on the ToughSystem 2.0 Drawers recently released. These drawers are designed to be compatible with the rest of the ToughSystem storage boxes and fits really well (see photos). This now allows me to store tools to be readily accessible without needing to remove storage boxes on top!
Some of the main features I appreciate:
- Accessibility (a given): I can now store a bunch of batteries or hand tools in the middle of my stack and grab them anytime I need them with ease.
- Heavy-Duty: The DWST08320 drawers match the toughness of the other 2.0 storage boxes. The side handles are well built for carrying and handling and "click" into the other boxes if chosen to stack. There's even a built-in hole to pad-lock (or cable lock the entire system) for security.
- Ball-Bearing drawers allow for them to open and close smoothly.
- Bonuses: It appears the top of the storage box has a built-in tray of sorts to store loose hardware if needed. Since this section is on top of the box it is obviously only accessible if it's not in the middle-stack of other boxes, but it's a nice bonus feature to have!
All in all I'm really pleased with the set of drawers and I know it will complement my DeWALT storage collection well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like these drawers. The weight of the empty unit is reasonable. The depth on the drawers is good. Deep enough that you can get a lot of equipment in there, but not so deep that stuff gets hopelessly buried. I currently have batteries in mine, and there’s enough headroom for even the higher capacity packs. The ball bearing slides are awesome. Even with a bunch of weight in the drawer they operate like butter.
One of my favorite things are the carry handles on the sides: they are spring loaded to close down to the side of the unit, so when you set it down they just slam closed and out of the way. Also very happy that DeWalt figured out how to get a reliable rubber seal on the drawers. It’s very robust and well-designed. I would trust it in the rain.
Also appreciate that the 2.0 system is compatible with the original tough system so you don’t have to break into a whole new system to make use of this drawer unit.
Having the drawer option for a modular tool storage system is a game changer: even if these drawers are low in your stack you can get to their contents without having to take anything off the stack above them. Depending on your workflow, this can be a massive time (and back) saver. I’ve been very impressed with these drawers and I highly recommend them.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, I'm glad that the 2.0 system is compatible with the older cases. I was hesitant to adopt the new system because I didn't want to get rid of all my older cases. And I must say, I am a fan of the new automatic retention system. It's much easier to engage/disengage. I like that they have an enlarged handle size, which allows for a more comfortable grip for gloved hands. I really appreciated the metal full-extension drawer slides, they work great. Each drawer has a gasket all the way around to keep water and dust out (except for the dust on your tools of course). The best feature in my opinion was the drawer latch to keep the drawers shut so you don't have to worry about them opening when you're carrying/moving the case around. The drawers themselves are pretty spacious and the bottoms are reinforced with molded ridges which keeps the bottom sturdy which is a nice touch. The only thing I found as a potential negative for some is the lack of a way to lock the case (as far as I can see). I personally don't utilize this feature on any of my cases, so it didn't affect my impression of the case. I'm a remodeler and after about a month of using it on different sites, it's still working as good as new. It's a very well executed simple idea - if it's something that looks like it could work with your configuration, I recommend it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I just got this box and was happy to take it out and put it to use. First things first, if you have been crating your tools around in typical boxes, you need to get a drawer unit. It changed my life. Seriously. I would bring in 10+ tool boxes and rolling bases and then unstack it all so that I could get to each tool. Drawers have ended all of that. Not only can I fit more into drawers, but I don't have to unstack everything. It's quick and easy to just open a drawer, grab what I need and keep working.
Now, these drawers have some good and some bad. First the good:
They are deep enough to lay a driver sideways inside with a bit holder and belt clip and not have it hit when closing.
The top drawer has a positive catch in the open position so that it doesn't slide back in when it's fully extended.
The side latches seem a lot more sturdy than the old 1.0 tough system latches.
It's easy to open the drawer with the front latch, but it won't open up by itself while you're driving.
It feels pretty sturdy and I think it will do a decent job sealing against water and dust.
It looks great!
Not so greats:
Bottom drawer does not have a positive catch, so it doesn't stay open like the top drawer.
You can't put the DeWalt Powerstation on it! Don't know if other 1.0 version boxes or tools aren't compatible with it as well, but it seems like they could have designed the latching area to work, but maybe it would have made other new boxes not function? Don't know, but that was a definite bummer.
Really that's about it. It's great except for the incompatibility with the PowerStation. Get one and see how nice it is to be able to get to tools without unstacking everything.
