This thing is tough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this driver for about a year and a half, with a 6ah battery. I get about a week off one charge for drywall work, and a full day per charge driving 3" screws into treated wood. It slid off a 2 story roof and came completely apart, pieces everywhere... I put it back together, and it's STILL WORKING. Skips a beat here and there, but I can still build an entire deck with it.

This gets the job done and then some!

Lightweight in design, the 20v max brushless impact was made for those long days at work. And no need to worry about the battery life, as the lithium ion battery stays charged for a very long time. You'll get tires before this impact ever does. It drives even the most stubborn screws with ease. I am so happy I chose DeWalt. I will absolutely continue to buy DeWalt in the future.

. Just used it for the first time expecting to be blown away. Just disappointment.
Gun gets 3 times hotter In an 1/8th of the time as the brush does. Cant even touch the gun with your hands. To chage bits out.
Impact starts before i even get my lags or screws started. Maybe that extra torque isn't such a good thing for smaller jobs. Hope they get that adjusted sometime.

Never disappoints

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this tool for 4+ years. I use it for far more then probably what it is meant to be used for and it just keeps going. It’s been dropped, rained on, caked in mud, ran harder then it probably should and still today there’s not one thing wrong with it. Excellent product along with all dewalt tools I own. Dewalt leaves me no reason to try a different brand

Awesome Tool!

World of difference. I wish I would have done it sooner. It makes the job go quicker and saves battery. Would recommend spending the extra money to buy this even if you’re only a weekend warrior.

Nice and Light with quick lock

For the price I went with dewalt and I am not disappointed. I hooked up that bad boy up to a 5ah battery and literally lasted me weeks. It's nice and light, the LEDs are bright.

All the other reviews are true! This thing is powerful! Also interesting side note: the impact you would get in a drill/impact pairing has only 1 light but this thing has 3 BRIGHT LEDs...very handy with the sun going down quickly these days...spend the money, you will not be disappointed!

Great tool

This tool has been a big help on the job site this week installing cabinet in both a kitchen, and a bathroom vanity! The thought places make it a nice tool to use to screw the cabinets together! It is also nice to use to get screws between studs where I previously used a 90 degree drill!

Great for new Apprentices

I bought this impact driver when I first started my apprenticeship a few years ago. The price is awesome for someone who is just starting out and needs a good reliable impact driver. As a plumber it was hard to stay away from Milwaukee but DeWalt’s reliable tools keep me coming back!

Worked once

Used it once and it sat a couple months. Went to use it again and it did a couple screws then when you pull the trigger light flashes once but motor doesn’t engage. Tried different batteries same issue. Looks like repairing would cost as much as buying a different driver.

Great impact gun

Great compact impact

This is the best compact impact drill I have owned. I am a plumber apprentice and I use it all the time to put straping up for pipe. It hasn't failed me even after a few drops from a ladder. I highly recommend plus the price is great.

Super smooth drive. No issues with lag screws!
