Battery life

I have 2 of these batteries. 1 purchased with a weed eater (still working well). The other 1 was purchased with a DCBL772 Blower and the run time is about 30 seconds and then it quits, have to wait another 30 seconds and then it will start again. This lasts for about 5 tries and then it quits altogether.
Lucky I purchased the weed eater with the same battery, because if not it would just be a worthless tool and a replacement battery is quite expensive.

Excellent Battery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This battery is great. I used it on my 20v XR weed eater and it lasted forever. It powered through the high thick grass. I have around 1 acre to cut and it lasted around 3/4 of what I had to cut. If it wouldn't have been so tall I am sure it would have possibly done the whole yard. I will be getting another one of these battery's and using them in all my hand tools. I also plan on getting a few 60v tools so I already have one battery for them now.

Will not charge

Add me to the list of 1-star reviews that are because the battery won’t charge. I now have a leaf blower and chainsaw that are essentially useless. I’ve had this in the charger all day, but the LED indicator only shows one bar and the blower works for two seconds. Pretty disappointed and unsure if I’m willing to purchase a replacement battery. I’m glad I found out now and not in the middle of the tree I cut down a month ago.

Battery is not good.

I bought the leaf blower with the 60v flex battery because it was compatible with the 20v tool system. I use it to blow light snow off my driveway. I charged the battery initially and it died after 25 min of use. I charged it again and still only got 25 min of use. I did t have the trigger pressed the whole 25 min either. Continuous run time was maybe 1 min at a time. I am disappointed with the quality of the battery.

Much Longer Runtime

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this battery for my 20v string trimmer as I do approximately 30 commercial mowing sites a month as a part time gig. I’m pretty hard on my equipment and just got tired of lugging three 5ah battles and a dual charger around. I bought the two pack of these 9ah batteries and they are awesome. One lasts me nearly all day and that is a huge bonus for me not having to mess with gas, oil, OR charging on the regular.

I also have 9 other dewalt batterys and I use them everyday they defiantly outlast my others I use them on my weed eater ,blower ,radio ,vacuum and many more dewalt tools I have. I highly recommend this item to any looking it is worth every penny also the fast charger makes a big difference when charging. These batterys will last all week using them constantly

If you use your flex volt tools a lot these are the way to go. They add some weight vs the 6 amp hour batteries but it’s worth the runtime. Some tools feel better balanced with the 6 amp and some with the 9 amp which is something to consider as well. If you put four of these on the dcb1800 you will get a max runtime of 720 watt hours. At least until they come out with the 12 amp hour version.

9AH Flexvolt not so flexable

I purchased with a leaf blower around 8 months ago and have used it about 10 times since then. The battery on the charger says it is fully charged, the battery shows 2 bars charged, but will not operate my blower. Other known good batteries operate the blower, but this one will not. I see others having issues with this 9ah battery as well. I will be reaching out for a replacement.

Worked good until it failed to charge

I've had a few of these batteries for a couple of years. Inevitably, they all fail to charge after some time. Two of them, the charger would blink twice and then go dark. No charging happening, and multiple chargers failed. Another one will now only charge to the first bar and holds maybe 5% charge. One battery still works. 1/4 is not a great ratio for such an expensive battery.

Long lasting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this and ran it at a construction job in my dch133 roto hammer for most of the day drilling 5/8” holes in concrete. I still had two bars left!!!! The next day w/o charging it, I used on my grinder and on my miter saw and FINALLY had to charge it. This was my 1st flex volt battery-I’m sold!! the only downer is it is heavy, as in makes my 20v 6ah Look like a baby.

Battery / Charger stopped functioning

The battery charger and battery stopped charging. Only owned for 9 months. First two charges went great but noticed a much shorter life on the 3rd charge and the 4th charge only lasted minutes. Battery is perfectly clean and charged and stored at room temperature over during my ownership. I 100% will not recommend this product to others. Miss gas powered tools!

Reliable, durable, long lasting battery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This battery is a remarkable advancement for DeWalt. I had a large 18v set of tools and upgraded to 20v - so worth it! This battery will last an eternity with 20v saws and drills, etc. but it also lasts a very long time using yard tools. I have 2 acres and can easily trim my entire property using the dewalt string trimmer and this battery. Highly recommend!

Bad Flex Volt 60v, 9.0ah batteries

I have three Flex Volt 60 volt, 9.0ah batteries and several 6.0ah batteries and over the past year all three 9.0ah batteries have stopped charging. The batteries show a single bar but will not charge at all. It seems that the 9ah batteries have this problem. All of my 6.0ah batteries work just fine. I would NOT recommend this larger battery pack to anyone.

Long way to go.

I am a huge dewalt fan, and have been for years. Use dewalt in the construction field. Love the tools, save money compared to Milwaukee. But they have a long way to go with their batteries. I use this battery in the worm drive circular saw and get a half day use compared to my partners 12ah Milwaukee batteries in his worm drive saw, and his is used more.

Worked good for about 4 months

I got this a year ago for Xmas and it worked great intoll it stopped charging my gf tried getting the warranty to fix it when she tried to contact the weren't place they said it wasn't covered she bought it with a 60 v grinder package from a store in edmonton. Needless to say it was a waste of money not worth how long the battery lasted for. .

Power for Days

I was able to cut wood with my flex volt 60v saw and drive all the bolts with my impact driver to put my table together. And this thing still had plenty of life after.

This battery came with a new weed eater unit. Worked one time. The charger says it is fully charged. Only one light on the battery and only works for 10 seconds. I have tried my other chargers with the same result. I can not find online the proper warranty replacement information and will have to wait for customer service to open.

Amazing longevity on a Flexvolt worm drive saw...

This battery came with my Flexvolt worm drive saw and I’m amazed at the power and run time it produces. It lasted all day on a new deck construction project and still had 1 bar left on the fuel gauge. When I use it on my 20 volt weed trimmer, it just keeps going and going. Will be buying another for backup. Highly recommend!

Bad battery

I bought a 60 volt Dewalt leaf blower a month ago. The battery would only last for 10 seconds. Charger says it’s charged, but only 1 of the 3 lights show up charged on battery. Took battery back to store I bought it from. Took forever to get new battery and this battery does the same thing. Not happy.

Big disappointment battery doesn’t last

Been using Dewalts products for a long time and almost all my tools are DeWalt normally they have a great product which is why I am so highly disappointed in this battery got 3 maybe 4 uses out of it and dead. I expect way better out of a company like DeWalt than to put out this expensive paper weight.

After 5 minutes of use I sent one 12 ah 60 volt battery in for replacement because of failure. That one was replaced and already failed after one charge. I've have 2 - 6 ah 60 volt and only one is still working.. I do not use my 60 volt tools much and only use my 60 volt batteries in 60 volt tools.

I bought this not even a year ago for crazy money and it’s not working I have been looking online for warranty and it just keeps trying to se it time again I have lots of Dewalt tools and this is very frustrating not happy at all Thumbs way down On this one Dewalt you might have lost a costumer here

Doesn't work

I'm a homeowner who has used this battery less than a handful of times. The first thing needing replaced was the charger...now it's the battery. Won't charge on either of my Dewalt chargers but my other flex volt batteries charge just fine. Disappointed with craftsmanship so far :(

60 minute charge time? More like 6 hours.

60 min charge is a flat out lie by Dewalt. Using the charger it came with, it takes 6 hours to charge, and lasts about 40 minutes which is disappointing. Bought with a weed eater, I live in Hawaii so cannot get another battery sent to me and there are no stores that carry it here.

Horrible batteries…..

I got a handful of these and they last about a year with very little use. For the money you spend, you’re better off buying the off brand batteries. Half the price and last about the same amount of time. I’m done buying dewalt brand batteries. I have 3 bricks sitting on my desk.

Best battery on the Market

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used every brand, both lithium and ni cad and the Dewalt 60v is by far the best bang for your buck. This battery makes 20v tools last for days and 60volt tools long enough to get the job done and then some. Dewwlt has really set the bar when it comes to cordless power!

Battery fails to charge after 3 uses

Like many others here I found this battery will not recharge after only being discharged a few times. The replacement process is mailing it to a service center, which takes forever, so hopefully you have a few of these to use while the defunct one is being replaced.

Trash battery

FOR THOSE OF YOU HAVING ISSUES WITH THIS BATTERY I RECOMMEND THE DCB118 CHARGER. IT WORKS MUCH BETTER WITH THIS BATTERY. FOR SOME REASON SOME OF THE TOOL KITS FROM HOME DEPOT AND LOWES COME WITH THE DCB115 CHARGER AS A CHEAP WORK AROUND. HOPE THAT HELPS
