8Ah Battery Fuel Guage Not Working!

The 8ah battery life seems to be a bit weak compared with using the 5ah batteries. The 8ah battery does send more power to the tool when using the Power Detect tools. You can hear the difference in the sound.
The main disappointment is that after about 10 charges, the battery bars are not working, and bar #1 is dead. It seems the battery is not fully charging anymore. The other disappointment is that many retailers are selling DeWalt Tools and they are coming with batteries that are already over 3 years old.

Please be advised the batteries Ah/Amps offer runtime. the higher the Ah/Amps the longer the runtime. This will depend on the tool being used on as a drill requires less energy to run than a circular saw. Won't Charge

I got one charge out of this battery. When I hook it up - and yes, it clicks into place - it blinks as if it's charging and then gives me a solid red light as if it's done. But when I check the indicator, it only shows one bar and it won't work in my tools. Trying to contact customer service. Hopefully they take care of it.

Great tools but 2 of 5 batts failed quick

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 2 of 5 of these have failed for me. 1st fail: ran it til the tool stopped and it wouldn’t take a charge—tried the hotwire trick but still wouldn’t. 2nd fail shows 1/3 charge but when put on the charger, charger blinks once and goes out.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Wow these batteries are really awesome and last really long.. Much better and longer battery range than other companies. I would really recommend buying dewalt tools as they seem to be better and long lasting tools.

Same but better than the 6Ah

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was already a big fan of the 6Ah batteries, and these are the same size and weight, but with more juice. It performed a little better than the 6Ah in some tools. Overall it is a great battery for daily use.

Awesome battery lasts twice as long as the 5 ah

This battery is awesome for doing large projects and not having to wait for batteries to charge does add a bit of weight to the brushless impact
