10 amp Battery Won’t Work after

Bought this mower/ batteries in early 2022. The batteries say 2021 on them. Used the mower to do my side yard and ditch. Used the mower/ batteries about 12 times. Went to use the batteries and mower this season and now the batteries don’t work. Looked up how much it was for new ones…. I might as well toss the entire setup as the battlers cost about the same as buying a brand new mower. Won’t buy this product again unfortunately after being a long time dewalt user.

DCMWSP 244 Self Propelled Lawn Mower

I purchased the DCMWSP 244 Self Propelled Lawn Mower last fall. I just used it for the 1st time today, February 9 2022, to trim a large patch of 10" or so tall Monkey Grass aka Liriope. I wanted to trim it to about 3 inches tall. I was concerned that due to its height and density the lawn mower might bog down or clog if I mulched it. I was wrong, it did the job with ease. I am impressed with the performance and ease of use. I recommend this mower.

Just don't. A nightmare in the making.

I have had it with DeWalt/Black& Decker since B&D purchased you guys it has been a nightmare. Considering I sold machine tools for 30 years and I pushed DeWalt as a quality product to my customers because they were top of the line. Two, count 'em two lawnmowers I purchased and it has been one nightmare after another. I know for a fact DeWalt and or Black & Decker are not manufacturing the mowers and who knows who is manufacturing those hideous batteries. I have black & yellow DW batteries all over my house...dead. The 2022 batteries are now going. One will not hold a charge so I am mixing the old lawn mower battery with the newer lawn mower battery. I guess I need to bury the dead ones in the yard in case they decide to explode. Ok, so I'm the fool for buying two of these mowers thinking I had a fluke experience that the other lawnmower died. Wrong!

Bad batteries

Two of these batteries came with an electric push mower that I bought 11 months ago. One of the batteries has already failed, i.e. it won't take a charge. Looking at other reviews that have been filed, it appears that the batteries are junk. And since the mower won't operate without these batteries, the mower is also junk. The battery is still under warranty, but it seems impossible to contact a real person to talk to at DeWalt.

We bought our mower and weed eater towards the end of the mowing season in 2022. I can count on one hand how many times we have used this equipment. One of the batteries that came with the mower absolutely will not charge. Without this one battery, our mower is completely useless. To replace this battery is expensive, which is disappointing since we spent so much money on the original product less than a year ago.

Not worth it

Was great the first few times I used it. I was using it on my angle grinder and it would last for what I felt was worth the money. After about the 4th recharge it has lost power and doesn’t last long at all. Now my 6AH batteries last longer doing the same work. Left it on the charger longer thinking maybe it just needed more time on the charger, still didn’t help. Glad I didn’t buy the 2 pack of these.

This quality needs to be addressed

Seems to be the trend from most. bought my mower back in summer of 2021 worked great. But now one battery will fully charge ,and the other will only charge to one bar which means no mower. Did notice one battery would get considerably hotter than the other from use. Great lawn mower. But extremely disappointed that the packs are so poor quality and cost almost as much as the mower.

Bad purchase

I bought 2, 20v 10 amp hours for my dewalt lawnmower….1 year into this purchase, these batteries don’t work, they don’t hold a charge and they can’t power my mover more than 1 minute…as a LONG time Dewalt advocate, I think I’m finally done. The electric lawnmower itself is ridiculously expensive, not to mention batteries that won’t work….what’s happened to the dewalt quality??

Having the same issue as everyone else it appears.

Two of these came with my Dewalt electric push mower I bought in 2021. One of the batteries charges fine and other charges to 0ne bar and that is all. From reading these reviews this is a common tale for this battery (and most appear to have come with the mower.) the battery costs almost as much as the mower with batteries. Love the mower; not happy with the battery.

Is this MOWER “DEWALT QUALITY”?!

My wife and I were so excited about our Dewalt cordless electric lawnmower.
We TRUSTED the brand.
After about 2 years one battery started having glitches re charging and run time. Now both batteries have issues … We spent so much and now we have a “yellow brick” and long grass.
Need 2 new 20V 10.0 ah
Anyone have advice? Replacements? Aftermarket?

Bad battery

I have had the same issue, I was a big Dewalt fan have two drills, leaf blower and now the mower but I was only able the Mower a few times which worked great and then randomly one of the Battery’s don’t want to work any more and won’t charge can’t run with one battery so the mower is useless. Not happy a new product should last more than four times.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I regret to inform you that the two 10-amp batteries purchased with the Dewalt lawnmower last summer are not retaining their charge. While one battery is being charged, the fully charged battery loses its power even when it is not in use. Unfortunately, the cost of purchasing new batteries is nearly equivalent to the price of a new lawnmower.

Bad battery

I have purchased 2 dewalt mowers with 20V batteries. The first mower and batteries has worked great. The second one however I only been able to use a couple of times before one of the batteries stopped working. It shows a solid red on the charger but won't power the mower. It also won't power any of my other Dewalt 20v tools.

First, the batteries were hardly used.. One battery will not charge past 2 lines, the other one shows it's full but has no charge (nothing will run with it). I bought this battery 1 year ago and I wouldn't recommend it. I've only used it a hand full of times and it's already not working after slight use of battery. This is why I'm switching to Milwaukee. I was and still am a die hard dewalt guy but I'm making my way to other names brands asap that stand behind there products

DeWalt missed the mark!

DeWalt said that they would replace it, however it has now been 6 weeks since they said that, but there is no battery in sight. In the meantime, my grass continues to grow despite DeWalt's promise to send me a new battery

I bought the Dewalt lawnmower last summer and it came with these batteries. They worked fine last year but on the second use this year one of the batteries won’t charge. The cost of replacing is too expensive! I guess that makes the mower useless now too! Will review that next.

2 of these came with my dewalt lawnmower I received last fathers day and it's only been repeating problems. They can't hold a charge I haven't tried the more than a few times. The life is short when it did work. And the cost to try and replace them is nuts. Very disappointed

Horrible Battery

I bought my DeWalt mower almost three years ago and one of the batteries will not charge past 2 bars and then the mower only lasts 5 minutes. I am very disappointed and looking to go back to a gas mower that can handle any yard.

HORRIBLE product - Bought a lawnmower that included 2 of these and they BOTH stopped taking a charge after less than 10 mows.
Both were kept and charged inside when not in use.

I spent $$$ on this battery for my mower and trimmer. Got perhaps three charge/use cycles from it, and now it won't charge to more than one bar on the "fuel" indicator. Makes my mower useless!

I bought a Dewalt 21-1/2 brushless push mower and after less than 1 year of use both of my 10AH show 1 charge bar and are absolutely useless. It’s the same as all the other reviews on here.
