Batterie FLEXVOLT 20 V/60 V MAX 12Ah

Long lasting battery high price but excelent quality

I own a full range of cordless dewalt tools and batteries. From the portable air compressors to the Flexvolt Compound miter saw. In 2016 I also purchased the first 60V String trimmer and blower, bought as combo packs to agin the new at the time 9 ah batteries. These are still working today. The blower only lasted about 18 minutes wide open. Then I purchased the 12 ah 60 V in 2018 just for this power hungry tool. It now lasts about 35 minutes. Just what I needed. Made it comparable to my large handheld gas blower which rarely ever use anymore. This is the most power hungry cordless tool I own and really needs this size battery. All of my Dewalt 20 and 60 V batteries, some as old as 2015 and ranging from 1.5 - 5 ah 20V and 6,9 and 12 ah - Flexvolt, are still original and fully functional, except this 12 ah - Flexvolt, which is also my newest. It decided not to take a charge anymore. It still shows 1 bar on the battery gage but the chargers blink the charging light once and stop completely, no longer registering the battery in the charger. All other batteries charge as they should, with either charger, and none have ever quit like this. IF it had not quit this Would be a 5 star rating across the board! Can anyone help troubleshoot this problem?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not a pro. I'm a retired hobbyist with a million projects on my wish list and an amazing wife who likes working on those projects with me. We are addicted to cordless tools, which is why I love DEWALT's Flex/Max/XR collection of cordless tools. (Example of our addiction: We have 8 DEWALT Max XR drills. The first 6 drills allow each of us to have three drills (drill bit, counter sink, bit driver) while we both work on the same piece - no bit changes during assembly.) We also have limited space in our 2 car garage workshop, so a lot of the heavier tools are mounted to rolling stands where not having a cord is a huge advantage. When we are working on projects, I often wheel out the tool we need, set it up, and then we run everything we can through that tool while it's set up. One thing I learned quickly after buying the super powerful Flex Volt 120V Sliding Compound Miter Saw with the folding stand is that all that cutting power can drain the smaller batteries fairly quickly. At the time, our largest batteries were 6Ah, which just wasn't enough. So, I bought a pair of the pricey 9Ah Flex Volt batteries for that saw and it made a huge difference in how many difficult cuts (4x4s for example) you could get on one pair of batteries. A few months ago, when I noticed the 12Ah batteries on Amazon, I was able to talk myself through the initial sticker shock, and finally purchased a pair for that 120V Flex Volt saw. I'm glad I did. The jump from 6Ah to 9Ah was a big boost in total work time. The jump from 9Ah to 12Ah added that same amount of boost a second time. Now, WE run out of energy long before the saw does. Then, we drop the batteries on our 4 socket quick charger over night and they're ready for another day. If you own that saw, you need these batteries. If you are a heavy or professional user, you might need a second pair, but one pair gets us through a day easily. Despite the painful price, these are highly recommended - if you can afford them...
