I ripped into a few boards around the garage and this battery gave the power I needed when I needed it. Only thing I dislike about amount bigger batteries is that they are bigger. Puts more weight on the tool and having to hold the tool for long periods of time sure makes you tired.

Talk about breath new Life into Old Tools! Run Longer Run Stronger! This thing is Amazing! Don't let the Size Scare you. One thing I noticed is that no matter what Tool I put it in, It always feels Balanced at the Grip Point. Love it!

Enjoy the ability to swap across multiple tools of different voltages. The battery life indicator is a nice perk because it stays on after you click it for a minute so you can actually see the level without trying to hold it down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 6 Ah Flex Volt battery is a great pair for any DeWalt 20v or 60v tool. When paired with DCD999 hammer drill, it takes 12 1/4" holes in 6" concrete and 10 5/8" holes through a 4x4 for the battery to even go down one bar. I am very impressed with the power and life of this battery and am very excited to use it with all of my 20V series tools.

To put a 60-volt battery into the 20-volt frame that works with all other platforms of the Dewalt cordless tool line is pure genius. The 6.0 Ah is also so powerful and long-lasting, it will put the corded tools into storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a new 20V/60V MAX* FLEXVOLT 6.0 Ah BATTERY a month ago and been using it in my radio, impact, sander, and grinder. I have plenty of power to finish multiple jobs switching between tools without making my 20volt tools heat up. I will buy a couple more cause I don't like switching the battery from tool to tool. Definitely worth the money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great battery if you need to go longer on the 20v tools without changing batteries often. When using on flexvolt tools the battery does drain quick usually get about 30 minutes out of it but it is the smallest flexvolt battery you can get. You can get longer runtimes with the larger batteries but they increase in size and weight.

I was hammer drilling quarter inch holes in concrete for 8 hours straight to support conduit, and it lasted all day full power. I'm very impressed with the run time and full power until it needs charging. I highly recommend this product!

A full charge on this battery allows me to get all my weed eating and blowing done with room to spare. The downside, with more power comes more weight. Minor inconvenience for not having to go grab a fresh battery in the middle of your workflow.

Definitely better power to my saws, which drain my smaller batteries too quick. I love that I can take a couple tools to my project but only one battery. Nothing shuts down a day faster than no power. And I never run out with this battery.

My DCN680D1 brad nailer and DCE580D1 caulking gun last many times longer using the FlexVolt battery. I have also used my DCS393 circular saw with the FlexVolt battery and it cuts excellent. I will use the FlexVolt batteries exclusively from this point forward.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rugged battery! Packaging- the clamshell packaging is not convenient nor is it easy to open; it leads to the risk of lacerations. No instructions are provided for opening the package safely. No verbiage on the packaging or battery as to whether or not the battery is compatible with a 12v/20v max charger The battery is heavier, but still balances well with the hammer drill. The red battery cover is a good feature, especially when in a tool bag The battery was placed on a 12v/20v max charger. The pack-charging indicator light was flashing normally. After about an hour, the solid red pack-charged indicator indicated a full charge. However, upon inspection, the LED level of charge indicator had only one LED illuminated, whereas three LEDs should be lit for a full charge. I ran this battery with the hammer drill. I had no issues with it running low on the charge, especially under high torque, which is great when you have a demanding large project.

I was surprised how many cuts I could make with the table saw and on a full charge I could use the weed trimmer all day. I also used it with my drill to make a 2” hole in a cinder block wall and it never let up. Highly recommended.

Battery works like it should and I have used it in a number of FlexVolt tools. Blower, chainsaw, worm drive style saw and the paddle switch grinder. I’m happy with how long the battery kept a charge.

I was able to make cuts for an entire day and still have 2 bars left on the charge!! I was very impressed. The battery is a little heavy but that was a non issue using it in both the chop saw and flexvolt table saw. Great product!

It also dramatically increases run time on my 20v tools. It's incredible how well it preforms. I noticed it doesn't get hot like the smaller 20v batteries do when running a tool for extended periods of time.

It’s a fairly small battery for the amount of punch it delivers. And paired with a fast charger you will never be without a charged battery. I’ve not had even the slightest of issues with a battery. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the new 20V/60V batteries I now have the versatility to use my 20V tools with a battery having more storage than the single volt batteries. I can also begin purchasing more robust tools in the 60V line as they are rolled out knowing that I don't need to purchase separate chargers and batteries for these tools.

The others saying battery not taking charge is true, mine only charged less than 10 times, then die, I take apart the battery found some design problem with the balance board inside the battery, even all cells are good, but if some of the cells drop lower than like /3 volts, then the whole battery won’t take charge

With a full charge in the morning, it will go all day. We use them while framing and for demo work. The benefits of not being halfway through an 8 foot 2x6 rip when the battery dies makes up for the weight.

Its generally my 'go to' battery it's not to big and bulky I like the size to balance out the weight of the tool. Can be used with 20v and 60v tools, easy removable cover for the prongs, love the how the fuel light stays on for a few seconds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While this battery may add some weight to your tool installed, I was very surprised that it didn’t seem cumbersome on either drills nor saws I’ve tried it in. The run time is great but of course it takes a little longer to charge which is to be expected. I’ve always had great luck with dewalt batteries holding a charge. The one from my weed eater has been sitting in the garage all winter and still read full charge when checked the other day. The extra capacity and power delivered by this battery is a no brainer. Don’t let the size deter you from the purchase, it really doesn’t get in the way under normal circumstances. This would be perfect if you use your tools for extended periods of time for your job or diy projects. I don’t think anyone can be disappointed with this product. By the way... you can easily fit two of these batteries in the plastic parts bins in the small tough system 2.0 tool box. It is perfect to keep the batteries safely contained and not bouncing around.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Battery will last a couple of days when used with the drill. If it will be used at a continuous rate it could get tiresome(pretty heavy). I guess it is expected, Milwaukee batteries are the same thing. For continuous use I rather use the old fashion corded tools, other than that dewalt battery works great.

But even your xr tools will benefit from using them, because of longer runtimes. They are heavy though and so I wouldn't suggest using them for drills or impacts. But I bet you could run a flash light for a week with this thing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the power of the 60v system and use it mostly for the flexvolt skillsaw but we have had 6 of these batteries go bad (will not take a charge) in the past 3 months including one that was only 4 months old. Hoping DEWALT will honor the warranty and repair or replace them as they are a little pricey

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Adding this to my toolbox has really helped, the 6.0 Ah battery seems to run forever. Now instead of changing batteries every couple of hours I can work all morning and into the afternoon before having to change the battery. Only drawback is the size. But it works great, once you get use to it!

I will note that I had it on my DCB112 charger and before it was fully charged the charger was hot to the touch. I charged the remainder on my DCB115 charger. I would suggest using a new or larger charger when using this battery.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A few years ago I bought the 20 V string trimmer to use at my house. Got tired of always having to work on the carburetor every spring. Downside is constantly having to change batteries. I don’t have a huge acreage but it usually took 25 amp batteries to get my yard trimmed up, sometimes I had to change a third battery and finish off with one of my two amp batteries. I now have The power to complete the whole yard with one battery. The 60 V/20 V six amp hour battery gets my entire yard string trimmed in one battery, and still gives me 2/3 of a battery to spare. That’s using the string trimmer on the high setting even. I’m thoroughly impressed with how much power and how long it lasted. Yes it’s a bit bulkier and larger battery than the 20 V five amp hour battery, but definitely makes up for having to stop to put a battery on the charger and grab another one. I’m looking forward to using this 60 V six amp battery on my chopsaw knowing it will last a lot longer. Value well worth the price.
